Excellent choice for a stop. The espresso is excellent. The shop is veteran themed and decked out for hunters, very cute. Many choices of scones and buns. Totally would stop again!

Just stopped by this cute little bakery on our way north to the UP. Grabbed 3 coffees, an egg sausage homemade breakfast biscuit, sausage kolache, sticky bun and a cinnamon roll, yes we had a sweet tooth too, haha. The baked goods were so soft and delicious, the breakfast biscuit just hit the spot. Stop by and taste the homemade goods of this cute family, you won’t regret it. All for less than $26

Awesome pizza. They make their own dough and use very tasty, high quality cheese. The owner even picked his own fresh basil from the window herb pot for the pizza!

Loved stopping in to get coffee and breakfast. The cheddar kolache was so good and so was the cinnamon roll! The owner was nice to talk to as well very welcoming.

We discovered this place about two years ago, and have been going out of our way to visit as often as possible. The coffee rivals anything you can get at a chain. The owners and staff are really nice. Also, everything we’ve had from the bakery is very very good. My favorite is the lemon raspberry muffin. It’s so fresh and they manage to balance tart and sweet to perfection. If you’re in the area you should make it a point to check it out.

My wife and I stopped in on our journey back to the D from a trip up north. The cinnamon rolls were hands down the best we have ever had. Absolutely incredible! Warm, soft and gooey with a killer cream cheese frosting. The coffee was great too! We will definitely be stopping in again the next time we are in the area. Best of luck with your newborn triplets!!!

Great coffee, awesome baked goods! Stopped in over the weekend for a break from the road and it was well worth it. Clean and comfortable, spectacular treats and very reasonable prices. Easy in, easy out and overall a fantastic experience. Maybe I scared her a little with my enthusiasm but I found a friendly smile and a kind interaction when I surely needed it. thank you!

This is the best side road coffee and bakery ever! The small shop is very friendly and has a sweet smell when you walk in. Veteran owned, this family sure knows their coffee, Freedom Hill Coffee Roasters if you want some they sell it ground or in beans!. They sell scones, banana bread, muffins and amazing kolaches.All made fresh ever morning. Best of all they make a homemade pizza crust that is out of this world mouth watering. The toppings were super fresh and even had fresh basil out of their garden. MmmHmm. They finished it with a garlic crust that had me. If you are near Fredrick Michigan make a detour and stop by...so worth it, you will Not be disappointed.!!!

Went on a snowmobile trip and stopped in to “A Better Place” for a coffee to warm up. They fixed me up with THE BEST coffee I’ve ever had! I decided to try a piece of pie and OMG it was so dang good!! When I was done, I ended up trying almost everything in their display. It was all amazing! Everything baked, right there, fresh every day by one of the owners, and she does a great job!!
I work in the heart of Dearborn and I’ve never had better baklava than I did at “A Better Place”.
Its family owned and operated and super nice people. They made me feel welcomed. I highly suggest!

Oh my word, what a sweet little slice of Heaven ! I'm so happy to have found such a cute little bakery so close by! Everything from their food to their friendliness if their staff and set up of the place, everything is just so warm and welcoming! I've gotten to try their baklava, a few different types of cookies and their blueberry cake and I have loved absolutely every bite ! You can tell how fresh everything tastes and the staff has been more than pleasant. 10/10 I would absolutely recommend if you have a sweet tooth and enjoy reasonably priced sweet treats!

I am in there regularly. Absolutely love the Freedom Hill coffee. Whenever I need to replenish my coffee at home I buy the Freedom Hill coffee from A Better Place.
The muffins and scones are so good. And now they have ice cream.
If the bake goods aren't enough, the service and friendly atmosphere is the "icing on the cake"!

Don’t be disappointed they don’t have donuts! Too many places have donuts but no other quality baked goods. Their scones are amazing as well as their muffins. I stopped there for the first time two days ago and I’ll definitely be going back, you don’t need donuts when they off so many other delicious baked goods.
