Cedars Resort

We are leaving after a 2 night stay in a cozy cabin in Cedars Resort. Our stay was so relaxing, with beautiful scenery all around. The weather gave us chilly autumn vibes and the cabin was waiting to welcome us like a warm hug. We loved our stay and want to bring our boys here next summer.

We stayed at Cedars the first week of August this year. It was (I believe) my fifth time there but my first since the new owners took over. We were pleased with the changes the new owners made to the property, yet it remains a semi rustic resort with a LOT of accommodations. Each cabin has a great view of the lake, there are fire pits, & a lot of options for getting out on the water (paddle boards, kayaks, etc). The cabin was clean, the grounds were beautiful, and Mike & Kelly took excellent care of us! They even hid “treasures” for our grandkids who love pirates and treasure hunting. I would highly recommend Cedars in the spring, summer, or fall. We will definitely go back to stay again :)

The cabins were very clean. The owner, Michael, was friendly and very accommodating. He provided paper products soap, kitchen towels, dish detergent and linens. We've stayed at numerous cabins, and this was definitely the nicest.

If your looking for a beautiful, relaxing vacation this is your place to visit! The resort is so pieceful and so beautiful! Our family stayed a week to which was not long enough! The fishing was great we used the rental pontoon daily the kids just loved this! There's plenty to do for the whole family! Kayaking, paddle boats, fresh new sand for the kids and beautiful campfires in the evenings! Mike the owner was wonderful he went above and beyond for our family to have a wonderful week!! We can't wait to go back!

Just enjoyed my 5th stay at Cedars, love coming up here every year! Mike, the new owner was great! I really appreciated him checking in here and there throughout the week to make sure my stay was great and I had all that I needed! Plus, got to take a ride on the pontoon boat with him and his wife! It is such a beautiful and relaxing resort, the perfect spot to get away from it all and be at peace. So much to do at the resort or the surrounding areas! A day trip to Mackinac island is a must! Already miss the cabin and looking forward to our visit next year!

Absolutely perfect! The cottages were just what we were looking for. Tons of character and comfortable. Perfect location on the water and not too far from many beautiful attractions if you so choose.

I used to live on Intermediate lake and my Brother and his wife used to like to go fishing there and would always stay at the Cedars Resort and they still do every summer. My place was too small and they were right across the lake from me, so it was VERY convenient. They have a German Shepherd and she loves it there too. I am now living back up state and am wanting to come stay for a week at this great place that is so peaceful and beautiful and GREAT fishing. I recommend this Resort if you want to have a nice get away in a wonderful little town with very nice people. check out the Blue Pelican while you are there you won't be disappointed.

We’ve had excellent stays at Cedars Resort! The cabins are clean and there is so much to do in the area. Mike and Kelly are great hosts and we’re heading back for our third stay later this summer!

Chris and JoEllen are such amazing hosts! This was our second time being here and they never disappoint! The cabin is nice because they have everything you need! The kayaks, paddle boards and row boats are free to use! I highly recommend anyone that wants to go to a cabin to go here! Plus the sunset is very pretty!🌅

We had such a lovely time visiting cedars resort! My family of 6 all had a blast! It was a child’s paradise. The kids could paddle board, paddle boat, row boat, kayak, and canoe to their hearts delight. We also had a lovely trip out on the pontoon boat. They have a cute little swimming beach and play area. It’s a beautiful piece of paradise and at a great price for families. My only heads up would would be to warn allergy sufferers that there is a lot of animal dander around (dogs and cats) so allergy meds might be a handy addition to your camping bag. The owners were so kind and sweet, it was great. I’m sad to see the resort up for sale because we’d love to make it a yearly trip.

We highly recommend Cedars Resort!!! It’s even better than what you see online, which is the opposite of what you usually find. A beautiful lakefront property, charmingly rustic and cozy cabins with private decks and all the amenities you need, enough complimentary kayaks, canoes, and paddleboats for all to enjoy, provided by the friendliest and most helpful hosts, Chris and Jo Ellen. Enjoyed beautiful sunsets followed by a bonfire by the lake with wood and comfortable chairs provided by the hosts. Lots of outdoor seating throughout the property for us to soak in this gorgeous setting. Also enjoyed a relaxing and scenic ride on the resort's pontoon boat. We loved our stay here and we'll be coming back!

This place is amazing and the owners are amazing as well. Cedars Resort is perfect for a get away with the family. It's right on the water, and the surroundings are incredible. We had such a wonderful experience, and we couldn't have asked for more accommodating people in charge. Thank you Chris and Jo Ellen for everything!!!

Fantastic experience! Mike recently took over when we stayed and he did a wonderful job! Anything we were missing or needed for the cottages he had for us asap! Great place for fishing, kayaking, and paddle boarding!

Chris and JoEllen are great host!! Very Kind, Sweet, Friendly people. They have 2 great dogs that are friendly. The cabin is Amazing!! They provide dishes silverware Towels Soap for bathes and Dishes Very Dog Friendly!! They offered to takes us out on the pontoon boat and we had a Great Time

I have waited many years to return to Benway Lake and it was even better than expected! Mike the new proprietor was a gem and perfect host. The cabins were clean, each cabin had a patio & chairs and a barbecue grills. The grounds were gorgeous and had swings for both young and old! Boats were available and in great condition. Kayaks, paddle boats, paddle boards and all the required lifesaving jackets. Firepits available for the sunsets. Located on Benway Lake with channels into Hadley and Wilson. Good fishing. We saw loons, foxes, deer, turtles, beavers and gorgeous birds.

Stayed here, it was a lot of fun. Its a nice place to enjoy a nice small lake and relax. The owner Chris is very very nice and very helpful. He helped me inflate a raft my girlfriend brought. I also liked the fire-pit and the stars are real nice at night. I'd recommend staying here everything is what you would expect for a cabin in the woods and everyone was nice and pleasant.

This was our first time at the resort and we could not have more pleased. Mike was an awesome host. Met super nice people in the other cabins. Very clean cabins. Will be back in the future.

We had such a lovely stay at the Cedars Resort. Jo Ellen and Chris were beyond friendly. We loved being able to go out on the lake whenever we wanted. It was also just so beautiful there - the sun on the lake and the stars in the sky. We definitely want to go back.

We had a great stay at the resort. It was ultra clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were excellent and answered all our questions promptly. We used the canoe to paddle around the lake. We are looking to come back in the late fall.

The owners are the nicest people in the world. Very welcoming accommodating. The cabin was very clean and comfy. I'll for sure go back
