Brought a van for inspection. The guy in shop was really professional and showed me and explained the condition of the van and gave me enough information to make a decision on the van. Will definitely come back if I'm around the area and need a mechanic.

Real honest mechanic, really quick to get me in and helped me get an appointment despite my difficult schedule. Would recommend him over any other place or person! Told me exactly what was wrong with my car and recommended the best option for me and my vehicle.

Talking with the guys here made me feel instantly confident that I found a great spot! When you do the research on your own and it doesn't match up to what they're saying it tends to be unsettling but these guys are spot on and priced to compete. Ty Dave and fellas

I had brought my vehicle into the dealership repair shop to be told the problem had been fixed and that there was no problem between 5 individual visits.
Dave was able to hear the problem and have a guess over the phone. It was more intensive of a fix than expected, but I was kept informed throughout the process and quoted at each step. I'm very grateful for a mechanic who knows their craft!!

Jeff is a very trustworthy mechanic. Great prices. Both Jeff and Amy will go above and beyond to make sure you feel like a valued customer. After trying different local auto shops across Grand Rapids, and gave G & D Auto a try. Got to work with the new management, and was really happy with their service. They were able to resolve my car issues, and was done the same day. Being that new owners run the shop, and never got to work with the previous ones I am impressed. They are still working out a few bugs out from this post, but highly recommend this shop.

First shop I've been to where the mechanic showed me the problem with my car without me having to ask first. It doesn't seem like a big deal but I've had other shops try and sell me a service that my car didn't need and lost business when I caught them at it.

I had my sway bar and linkage replaced here, scheduling and service was fast and prices were reasonable. I haven't had any other work done here but I wouldn't hesitate to take my car back after a good first impression.

I was recently experiencing some whistling noises in my car, while the heat would be blowing. My mom goes to G&D for all of her car problems and recommended that I go there. Due to my working hours, and G&D's hours being the same, it was hard to schedule a time convenient enough for me to bring my car in. After talking to Gordy, he offered to have me meet them at the shop early, before I had to be into work, and they would drive me to work on time, while they took the afternoon to look at my car and fix the problem. I was shocked at how generous he was with this offer. No other car mechanic has ever offered that to me before. He made me feel truly valued and tried helping me out the best he could. My mom has also gone to him with headlight bulbs needing to be replaced and he has done so, free of charge for her. My mom has also compared pricing between G&D and other car mechanics, and G&Ds prices are always at least a 50% savings from most other places. I will never go anywhere else for any car issues. Definitely some of the most honest people I have ever met.

I bought a 2003 Ford Explorer in auction during my move from Chicago. I’ve taken it to 4 places (2 in Chicago and 2 in Grand Rapids). Jeff and Amy were straight forward, flexible, and gave me the best price out of all 4 places. It was a solid experience and it’s close to the Sec. of State office. They will be my go-to mechanic in Grand Rapids from now on :) 💪🏽🏗🚙
