Dr. Ritsema cares so very much for his patients. He makes sure all your concerns are taken care of. He is extremely intelligent about his practice. But He has a fantastic beside manner. Meaning he listens to me about the things I’m concerned also. Wonderful Doctor and man.

I have quite the list of both medical problems and doctors, but never have I met a person, let alone a doctor, so kind, genuine & so strong in their faith in God. I had the privilege of meeting Dr. Peter Ritsema at Urgent Care in Rockford. While there, Dr. Ritsema thoroughly listened to my every word, like no doctor has ever done before. His patience and calm presence reassured me that I was possibly in the best hands in all of West Michigan! And his faith was, hands down, inspiring! I truly feel blessed to have had this opportunity ( that is not usually something i say about my fabulous health problems) and whoever is lucky enough to have him as your PC, well quite frankly I'm jealous. Best Doctor Ever!!!

He listens to you and helps you find the best options for treatment. He has helped me find alternatives like diet and natural supplements to avoid taking pills. He is kind and reassuring.

Best doctor ever. Really cares and invests time in his patients. He is the nicest guy and an excellent physician.

He has told 3 separate family members (including myself) who used to be patients of his to PRAY about our conditions, even after telling him that we are not religious. His mentality is pray or throw drugs at it. We all, separately, fired him as our doctor years ago.

I don’t know how this place still in business. They do absolutely nothing for patient! Dr Peter R, the guy will just tell you to go to ER or urgent care if you sick, EVERYTIME!! Never follow up with patient whatsoever, he doesn’t even have time for scheduled appointment. He’ll tell you to call other provider if you need anything. Also, it’s almost impossible to reach them. I left voicemails, 2 days later I got the call back, and again, he told me to go to ER. This place is joke, if I have to give one star, because the receptionist on the phone was nice.

If you want pills he’s your guy. He’ll pray with you and then give you your Xanax and adderall. He’s been giving my mom Xanax for 20+ years and now Adderal for over 10 years. Instead of trying to figure out the core issues. While she’s on nine total prescriptions, all for similar “ailments “. I’m going to file a complaint with the medical board, mercy, and the local authorities.
