Catharine is amazing at hair and makeup! She came to my wedding venue and did my hair and makeup and made me feel like the most beautiful woman! She made me feel and look natural and I felt like she enhanced my beauty to my fullest! She also did most of my bridesmaid’s hair and my mother’s hair, all turned out so wonderful. My mother’s hair is shorter and she has never had her hair professionally done before. Catharine was able to make it look like an “updo” and my mom felt and looked gorgeous! So much thanks and appreciation to Catharine! Highly recommend :)

I had the privilege of having my hair and makeup done here for my wedding. My bridal party also had hair and makeup done. Catharine and Olivia were so great to work with! They were fast but made sure everyone looked perfect. You can really tell that Catharine takes the time to get to know you and understand exactly what you want. And then executes it perfectly!! Highly recommend!!

Cathy is absolutely amazing. It’s hard to believe the amount of confidence you can gain from fantastic brows! Cathy did that for me. She explained everything before hand, showed me everything was sterile. She let me watch the process in a mirror. When I went for my touch up she even helped me learn some make up tricks I have always wanted to know how to do! She gave me so many compliments and I just can’t recommend her enough! She is extremely educated in what she does!! Thank you!!

Catharine is an amazing woman! I am 70 and she did my eyebrows and eyeliner! By the time she was done I looked so much younger and felt younger.

This business is the place to go for all of your beauty needs! I am from out of town but we were married in the area and Catherine the owner stepped up and made sure I was taken care of THE WEEK of my wedding because my other hairstylist with a different business did not work out! SHE DID AMAZING!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Also the clothes there are so cute. I had to get a few extra things because I needed a late minute outfit for my rehearsal dinner. LOVE LOVE LOVE the ladies in there and the top quality service!

I had my eyeliner done today and love the results! I have had my eyeliner done by Cathy and very happy with results each time. I started going to Cathy many years ago when she had her salon at her home, now a couple moves later she is in another great location with a beautiful salon/shop. She is a successful, hardworking woman and we are fortunate to have someone with her expertise in our area.

I’m in love with my eyebrows! I found this gem of a salon/boutique in Crosslake last fall and stopped in for a consult with Catherine. I took the plunge and had my eyebrows tattooed in November. The results are stunning - I only wish I had done this sooner. I stopped in today and Catherine was able to do the touch up procedure. She is a true professional and very accommodating with scheduling - plus she always makes me laugh. The clothing, shoes, cosmetics and accessories available at Encompassing Beauty are lovely as well.

Best stylist you will find hands down. Haley does my hair, my wife's hair, and also did our hair for our wedding. She does great styles for guys, Haley actually was MY stylist first before I met my wife where usually it would be the other way around. Highly recommend.

Catherine is a true “artist” her haircuts and permanent make up are superior to any I have seen anywhere. She is especially great for the mature woman - her classy haircut styles help us look youthful and “in style” with the times. Love the shoes she carries in her shop too - comfort and style!

Tried the Encompassing Beauty salon in Crosslake, MN for the first time yesterday and they were fantastic! The whole staff was very welcoming and Olivia did a fantastic job on my hair! I will definitely be back for my hair and to try out their wide variety of other salon services! Highly recommend!

Catharine is so great, bubbly, and easy to work with. She and her daughter drove to Laporte to do hair and makeup for 8 girls. Everyone’s hair looked great and the girls were very happy with it from what I was told. Only 4 of us got make up but the 4 of us that did loved it and the products they used were very nice. Everyone’s hair and makeup stayed/held all day and night!

We were in Crosslake for a wedding this weekend and stumbled in to Encompassing Beauty trying to enhance my wardrobe for said wedding and we absolutely fell in love with everything the boutique had to offer including fabulous deals! We left with nothing and came back to see if I could schedule a haircut - Catherine squeezed me in! Got a fantastic haircut, great conversation and picked up some absolutely perfect accessories! I love Encompassing Beauty and wish that I lived up north so that I could visit more often! Catharine has cut and colored my hair in the salon and I was treated to the wonderful smell of Aveda products. She also helped my mom find a gorgeous pair of shoes that would work well with her Plantar Fasciitis while Olivia helped me to style me and find the perfect summer dress. They have so many gifts and cute clothes there! Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area.

Catherine did an amazing job with getting my hair back to a true blonde after SO much regrowth. Not one brassy strand left behind. And her products left me feeling like I didn’t get exposed to a bunch of harsh chemicals. It was relaxing, comfortable and clean! She is taking the Covid protocol seriously and I appreciate that so much! More the an anything - being blonde can be really damaging. However, I don’t think Catherine broke one hair on my head. Her timing was perfect so my hair didn’t get overexposed to bleach and feels Healthier then when I came in! She’s talented!!

Catharine rescued me from a cut I wasn't happy with at all (inbetween other clients). I appreciate how she really listens to what I want to achieve. Like the boutique atmosphere with clothing, shoes and accessories.

I saw Catherine for permanent makeup on my eyebrows, and she is a caring, energetic artist with quality experience. A wonderfully supportive place that really does encompass all things of beauty - the name fits. The shop has unique and attractive clothing, shoes, and carries Aveda products. Plus, they offer Pilates and yoga, so it really is an all-around place for well-being. I highly recommend!

Haley is AMAZING!!! I have been going to her for a few years now (including for my own wedding) and she is the ONLY stylist I've ever fully trusted with my hair, which is huge! l am a particular fan of her color technique and updos- both are near perfect everytime. Not an exageration. She's the best!
