Dunmire's Bar & Grill

Welp, I picked this place because the Google reviews made it look promising and they did not disappoint. From the cheese curds to the prime rib marsala pasta to the Aunt Barb burger and fries, we enjoyed it all. The portions were generous.

We went for dinner Saturday night. Everything was fantastic. I had prime rib and it was up there with the best I've ever had. Others in our group had lobster bisque and the roasted chicken. Everyone was very happy with their meal. I've tried the prime rib at a few other places nearby and was not very happy with it.

Fun place for family and friends. Music from the bar, kids laughter and adults busy watching football and playing pull-tabs. Food served in generous portions (maybe share a dish) and is delicious. I had about a lb or more of Parmesan Crusted Walleye and hubby had pot roast.

Stopped in on a business trip and tried their special, which was some kind of Alfredo that was delicious. They had a corn bread that came with it that I loved. I hope I'm in the area again so I can try more of what they have, because everything I tried was great!

I have to say this is my most favorite place to eat in the Brainerd Lakes area. We go nearly once a week because not only is the food delicious, but the bar service is great and the prices are in line with the quality and quantity of food given in each order.
I love how you can tell the servers enjoy what they do because they smile and greet us with a friendly, "Hello" upon entry. Before we leave they thank us for our business and invite us to come back.
We usually have food left over to take home, and I love their corn bread and honey butter. It's to die for, seriously.

This place is small, but so cute. Came with my handicapped Mother, wheelchair accessible with an electric one, would probably be hard with a manual. Must be a lively evening spot. Came on a Sunday afternoon, busy but service was fast. Food was good! Definitely going to stop again when coming through the Brainerd area.

Great spot! I had stopped for a quick lunch. Fast and friendly service! I had a patty melt with deep-fried pickles. Delicious! Will definitely go back.

Friend who lives in area took us here as it's there go to restaurant. Was very busy the Saturday we went.. Staff was all friendly and helped each other out. Got the 12oz ribeye with mushrooms and onions, Au gratin potatoes and vegetable. Let's just say it was delicious. Wife got the fried walleye sandwich. She said it was good but that it got a little over cooked.

Pulled pork sandwich with homemade BBQ sauce looked great also.

It's locally owned and not a chain. Would recommend Dunmire's.

The walleye strips were great. Had the chicken and rice soup, that was yummy too. The corn cake that comes on the side was delightful. Service was friendly and attentive. Fun place to stop.

Service was terrific! I ordered an appetizer to start with, and it actually came out before the main course. ( hint to other restaurants, appetizers are eaten before the main course unless ordered otherwise). My health conscience daughter ate almost every bite of her pot roast. Her only complaint was it needed more carrots. Will definitely be back again and again.

The good was really good and the service at the bar was great. The burger is what they are known for and it did not disappoint. The fries were unique and thick but tasted great. They also had Coke products I was very happy about that.

Been there 2 different times and have been very impressed with the food both times! The hardest part is deciding what to order... everything looks good!! Can't wait to go back again to try another thing off the menu

Excellent service, food & ambiance. We grab food from Dunmire's almost every time we're in the Brainerd area. We ALWAYS get the chicken drummies...so good!!

Our hockey team visited and we need to shout out our server Alija! Who, despite time constraints, handled our large group with kindness, poise, and confidence. Thank you!

Food was Awesome waiter Riche was Wonderful so much food for the money. And they have pull Tabs so cool.

This great place earns another 5 star review! Great food! Great service! Ella took great care of my friend and I! Even though she was busy, she still kept checking on us to see if we needed anything. We both had their version of tater tot hotdish. What a great version of this classic! Crispy tater tots on top with melted cheese. And then it gets even better after you pass the top layer! This place has a great menu that looks nothing else like anything in the Brainerd area. Still many more things on the menu I want to try! Thanks again Ella! Support small businesses! They need as much as we do!

I have been going to this restaurant for years, through its various name changes. Always enjoyed the food, and it had been awhile, so thought it was time to stop back. I was not disappointed! The menu has a lot more options than prior names, and I had a hard time deciding! Went with the meatloaf and what a great decision that was! Very large portion of delicious meatloaf, red skinned mashed potatoes, and gravy! I could have finished my meal, but decided to save half for later, which reheated very nicely the next day! I was so excited to see my food that I forgot to take a picture! I will definitely be back soon to try something else! Support small businesses!

Found online while we were up for a work thing and thought hey this place is close had good reviews and the pics look decent. We called ahead and made a reservation.1st there was a 7 person band playing out front. One had a Xylophone. It was amazing. Walked in and the restaurant gave the impression of dive bar that expanded. Our expectations dropped significantly, but it was busy so that seememd like a good sign. Party of four ordered parmesean walleye, prime rib, lobster Mac and some pasta with chicken. Server was clearly busy but attentive. When the food came out....it was glorious. I ate the walleye, they served up him and his brother. Such big fillets!. Crispy flakey full of flavor! Everyone at the table said it was the best tasting meal they had in awhile and we were ALL surprised by how good it was. And then we tried their cornbread and honey butter. You don't need dessert. It was mouthwatering melt in your mouth delicious. My friend started wondering if they could serve this as a wedding cake at her wedding next year. Great drink selection. 10 out of 10 will drive up here again.

Been wanting to stop for a long time. Just had a drink with a basket of onion rings. They were huge and great. Nice staff. Going to try one of their specials one of these nights. Place is clean and friendly. Will be waiting to try again. Have seen this business go through a lot of changes and closing. I think they have a good run of this business.

Went to their E210 location for my birthday last night and they did not disappoint. Our server(sorry, forgot your name) was excellent! Food top notch! I tell everyone: since Covid, going out to eat has not been a great experience, with one acception: this place! They do it up right EVERY TIME! Consistently good food. Great staff. Well worth your money. Thanks again for a great evening out!

Alyssa on the bar is amazing!!! We had our bowling banquet and the wait staff did a great job with all the chaos of a large group of the menu with individual tabs. Very impressed with the food and the staff, but Alyssa was my favorite!
