Penn's Thai Cafe

Delicious food, wonderful service, and great value. This is one of my favorite places to get a quick Thai dish. Would highly recommend!

Penn’s Thai Cafe is our favorite. If you want some fancy expensive restaurant, then this is not the place for you. Great food, generous, moderately priced portions, and a nice Mom & Pop feel to the place. The owner is nice and always makes me feel like I’m her favorite customer. JC

One of the most delicious Thai food I’ve eaten. I got their pad ped with white rice and it was warm and tasty. The flavor of the mixed veggies was awesome. Food was ready for takeout 10 minutes after I ordered it. Value of food was great too.

Pad Thai Curry and Crab Rangoons are the best! Most authentic Thai food Ive had in Metro Detroit area.

Delicious food! First time visit and orderd carry out. We love thai food especiqlly if its spicy! The spicy noodle and pad thai curry were just that. Requested it spicy and glad it was made spicy :) Will surely be back to try more on the menu

What isn't there to love?? The food is great, and consistent. Friendly husband and wife team running the place. Inside is quaint and enjoyable.

Stopped by here for lunch for the first time and really enjoyed it! The portions were large and the food was great. One of my favorite Thai iced teas I’ve had and the Crab Rangoon’s are a must try!

I have been to this place time and time again and I swear they never disappoint. The service is phenomenal and when I tell you out of every thai restaurant i’ve been to, this one is first place. I have recommended it to so many friends and family and they agree as well. The service is GREAT, quick and very friendly. The flavors are absolutely amazing and I honestly could eat this food breakfast lunch and dinner. IF YOU WANT THE BEST THAI FOOD IN METRO DETROIT ITS HERE!

Small Thai restaurant in the corner of a plaza. The place had very good prices for Thai food. The soup was sub-par but the fried rice was very good. It's probably the best Thai north of Detroit. The staff is super friendly. It's basically like getting homemade cooking. I will put a 5/5 once I come back and try another thing on the menu.

Update: came again and got pad thai. Everything was even better. 5/5

Quaint and quiet setting, awesome food. A lovely friendly couple run this place. Spicy noodles is a must have. I have been visiting here for past 7 years or so. Very consistent quality.

Update: been here many times now and food has always been great.

I've only been here once so my rating is preliminary but the staff took my order quickly and efficiently and it was ready in 10 minutes. Due to COVID I took my meal home and it was delicious. I love the transparent noodles! The dinner portion was enough for 2 meals.

I have their Fried rice before and it’s all good. I never have a bad meal here even once. I’ve been eating here for more than 10 years. Always support the small family own business.

I love the Thai food they serve here! It's my to go Thai place whenever I crave Thai fried rice. Their curry is amazing too! The portions are generous with the amount you pay. The employees are very kind and treat you well. You won't regret it.

I've been coming here since 2016. Their food is excellent and their prices are very reasonable. My personal favorite is the Pad See Ew, but their Pad Thai is also great. We've also tried and really liked other dishes like their basil friend rice and their curry. The staff is very nice and friendly.

Definitely the best Thai food that I’ve had in southeastern MI. Cozy little “hole in the wall” family-owned cafe with delicious soup and shrimp chips if you dine in. Stopped coming for a few years since I moved, but it was exactly as I remembered when I returned. The cashier/server remembered me even after multiple years removed! A must-try if you love Thai food.

If your looking for a authentic place to eat Thai food this is the place to go. It’s a small family owned business and honestly they make me feel like family as well. I always get the pad Thai or the pad Thai curry medium depending on what I feel like eating that day. And the tum yum soup is always fresh. By far my go to Thai restaurant hands down thank you guys for always making me feel like family
