Food was yummy. Spicy and tasty.
Indo Chinese fried rice is good . Chicken manchurian great. Kadai chicken could have improve and South Indian flavour not there .
Lamb options not available though.
Naan was bit salty. Free pappad nice. Ambiance same years now. Waiting staff did their job but can smile🤣 gave handsome tips but no one back to table and say thanks . Manager on duty not even say good night while leaving...not a big deal and can’t expect ...
dinner price is bit expensive in few items. Buffet good better choice. We went mid week and has decent crowd. Overall getting same experience and one of the best option in Troy.

Very first try at this restaurant, we did a pick up. Phenomenal! Food was delicious, the spice levels were spot on (several orders of "mild" and one "hot", all were pleased) - one person had never tried Indian cuisine before and she was a huge fan! I'm excited to try dine in!

Visited for dinner. My experience has been great, the restaurant was almost empty when we visited so the service was very attentive. The restaurant looks clean and organized. The food was just perfect, it really fixed my itch for Indian food.

The food was truly phenomenal! I came here with my family for a birthday and the service was excellent. The owner and staff were really friendly and caring. The curd was authentic and the best that I have tasted in any restaurant. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for authentic Indian food with a homely touch!

They really have an extensive menu! I will have to come back and try some other things! I had mushroom and peas (mild spice). Everything was so yummy! This is the place to try if you are trying to open up your palette. The menu gave great descriptions, so you will be able to pick something easily that will suit your tastebuds.

If you are not Indian, but want to try authentic Indian food T H I S IS THE place. The restaurant is simple no fancy menu (no photos of the food nor descriptions),no fancy ambiance but the service is good and the food as well. Clean. This place made my husband smile. He was so happy with the masala Dosa. The samosa were also good. I ordered the chicken Tikka masala which was also good except the rice. It came with naan & rice so I enjoyed the naan instead. Delicious naan! Overall, good authentic food, cheap. If non-indian have a dish in mind that you'll want to try chicken Tikka is always safe option. Recommended!

Great Indian restaurant and would put Ashoka in the top 3 across the Greater Detroit area (many would put it even higher on that list). They have some of the best naan and good meat and vegetarian dishes all around. I would very highly recommend trying this location if you are looking for a new Indian food spot!

I love their vegetable marsala. It's my favorite dish. My husband likes many of their dishes. We've never had anything but great meals and great service

Everything was on-point. Clean restaurant. Good portions - fair price. Tikka Masala was excellent. Chicken - marinated and well seasoned and melted in our mouths. Even the water tasted great. Our waiter provided great experience - very helpful. Definitely will be returning.

Had the masala dosa as an appetizer and the lamb vindaloo for dinner. Both were excellent. The vindaloo color and taste was excellent. Best vindaloo I had in a long long long time. Small slight mixup on a dish, that is why service is 4 stars. But overall, food, and atmosphere is 5 stars.

Delicious authentic Indian food! Love coming to this restaurant to taste all the joys of pure Indian foods. There's nothing on the menu that isn't spectacular. Best time to visit is during the week @ 11 for buffet. It's a smorgasbord of delight!!!

We arrived a bit later for lunch but the staff were okay with us staying about over for the buffet. We had a great lunch with friends. The service was excellent and the food was spicy to the right degree. They also offered us chicken and same bread complementary. Definitely we're coming back.

One of the best onion kulcha I had. It was very soft and onion was evenly distributed throughout the kulcha. Rice was very soft and tender. Baingan bharta was spicy as I have requested. Everything tasted fresh. It took about 20-25 to make the order. Since I had ordered at location. So, make sure to order ahead otherwise be ready to wait. They still do not offer dine in.

This is hands down the best Indian food I have had in the metro detroit area. Fantastic prices aswell. I find myself here more and more as time goes on, a family favorite on me and my wife’s side

I would say this is the best Indian restaurant in the area. Haven’t been let down by any of their meals. Would definitely recommend.

Best indian place I've ever gone to. The food is so good I've been going here for years. They always have some new stuff every time I go. The bread and chicken they bring to your table is delicious. ❤❤❤

We get Ashoka once a week. It's our favorite Indan place around. We've tried a lot of different Indian restaurants all over, and nothing else we've had in Michigan comes close.

I’ve been coming here for over a year and have had consistent delicious cuisines. The chana masala is my favorite, and they always accurately spice their meals. Also, their chicken haka noodles are a close second. Great service, great food!!
