My kids and I took a Halloween walk through the woods at Grand River Park. The trees are turning and it was just gorgeous. The trails vary between grassland, flat woods, steep incline up the ridge, and meandering streamside. We were able to walk for a over an hour with no doubling back and some trails unexplored. There a few raised viewing platforms, clean bathrooms, a playground, and easy to follow signage. We love this park!

Really nice kept up park, it's got a fishing dock on a beautiful waterway, trails, walking bridge, lots of wooded areas, nice bathroom facility building, grilling/picnic areas everywhere! Come and enjoy it here!

Great park!
I have now visited the park twice. My husband and I walked one section of trail, and cannot wait to go back to hike a different area! The trails were well maintained, and had clear signs throughout.
The second visit, we went kayaking. I love that there is an adaptive kayak launch, along with a small boat launch.
I also highly appreciate that there are bathrooms here!

*Road to park is under construction, but it's still open!
*Grand River water levels are way down.

Unpaved scenic trails
Leashed dogs okay
No Alcohol
Not staffed but the Sheriff and DNR regularly roll through to check on things at all hours.

No permit or fees required for visiting.

*** 2x Restrooms - 1 is located in pavilion building and this year they have placed a handicap accessible porta-potty by the boat launch! ***

*** Beware of poison ivy off the trails. Especially when close to river. ***

This park has the feel of 2 parks - pavilion & boat launch.

Pavilion offers: restrooms (open April 15), scenic lookout, trailhead, small playground, and fenced walk out fishing dock. I believe you can reserve the small indoor space by contacting Ottawa County Parks.

Boat launch area is free of trees for easy shore fishing (lots of snags), handicapped accessible kayak launch, access to Riverside trail in the woods. Lots of bass, catfish, gills. Use common worms and poopy brown lures, jigs with white plastics...

Wonderful park with views of the Grand River, pond for fishing, wetland overlooks perfect for bird watching, hiking paths with various terrain and landscapes (woodland and prairie). Paths have sensory stations, yoga station, and signs explaining the bird calls. Picnic tables, bathrooms, bike repair station, and shelter are available. A beautiful bike trail connects Grand River Park to Grand Ravines Park, for double the fun.

Love this trail so much for walks with my cats, all the trails are maintained really well, unfortunately a large section [connects about a 4th to a 5th of the trail that connects 2 paths to the main loop] is currently under construction but aside from that its not too busy of a park and i can wander through the trails for about an hour to an hour and a half without hardly any issues with bugs or a lot of people.

It appears quite a few people also seem to fish here as well but thats all i can speak towards on that matter.

Always a great place to visit. The new paved trail that connects to the Grand Ravines is a great walk along the grand river.

Nearby areas was under construction and the access road appeared to be closed to through traffic, but it wasn't. This cause the park to be nearly empty, which allowed my friend and I to enjoy peace and quiet while we had lunch and played Chess on any one of dozens of empty picnic tables. A few families, who were "in the know" were bringing their kids to hike and fish their favored places. I/we had a wonderful time. Couldn't have ask for better. Even the weather was perfect!

The amazing idema explorers trail, now connects Grand River Park and Grand Ravines. You can spend hours out here now between the parks, especially if you have a K9 friend that wants to join in on the fun!

An amazing park, has paved trails, it is very large you can even cross country ski here in the winter. It has a huge beautiful opening, that is full of wild flowers and grasses that is as tall as a person in the summer, a great place to walk the dogs, or go fishing in the pond. It has a small building you can rent out/reserve for events. It has an outlook to overlook a watershed area, you can spot a lot of birds you font see in the neighborhood. In all a very nice park secluded away off the main road, so it's a little hard to find, but it's well worth the hike. Also there is a boat lunch here into the grand river.

Very nice small playground, bathrooms, trails, and big pond with a walkway and bridge for fishing. They have been working on the trails all summer and the road to the park has a lot of construction going on, but since my grandson is obsessed with construction vehicles, it adds to the fun!

This is my fiance and I's favorite park! We love going here to get away from the city for a little bit. We love taking the trail up to the top of the hill. It reminds us so much of hiking in Northern California. I love listening to the birds chirp while we take peaceful walks all throughout the park. Our daughter loves the playground too! Perfect park for the whole family!
