Jamo's Restaurant & Bar

They have a great selection of food which you can easily have at another restaurant. 5 stars large serving and great service. The place also looks like it's quite well-maintained because it was very clean and organized when I dined there.

Jamo's is by far the best restaurant in Herkimer. The food is hands down delicious. I highly recommend the poutine and their burgers are made to perfection. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with the fireplace creating a great atmosphere in the diningroom. The wait staff was super friendly and helpful as well. We will be back!

The food here was excellent, and they had quite a few different choices. Calamari was perfect, not chewy at all. Good beer choices from Empire. Steak and seafood were cooked perfectly. Those fries though, yum. The service is not designed to be snappy, but they were very attentive and I didn't feel like we waited that long.

Fantastic dinner, my steak was cooked to perfection & the greens were nice & spicy. The French dip was also spot on. We will definitely be back.

Very good food and the waitstaff is excellent. They have a great buffalo chicken salad, but watch out, it is HOT, HOT, HOT. I ordered it toned down, mild and it was still quite spicy. It had great flavor. Their porkchops are over the top good. Burgers are the best around. Also a great fish fry. You won't be disappointed in the food. Oh and the owner is a baker and makes her own desserts....yum.

I cannot recommend this place enough!! Where I moved from was a very big culinary epicenter and finding something here that compared I was worried would be hard but this place blew my mind!! Everything and I mean everything is homemade right down to the butter that they give you for the bread basket as a matter of fact we asked if we could buy some to bring home it was so amazing but everything was amazing the butter the dinners the people the atmosphere it was all amazing!! The people were great the food was great I loved it and we will be coming back many times in the future!!

Very good, we got there a little late coming from the races in Saratoga so it was quiet. Service was great and food was excellent. Large portions and good selection. My son had the Herkimer burger, it had Bacon and mac's cheese on it. Fries were great.

This a place was awesome!! Everything was homemade right down to the butter in the bread basket which by the way I bought some to take home with me because it was so good!! The people were great I saw the same way just fall twice and instead of being embarrassed instead of complaining she picked herself up and cleaned up broken dishes and food twice and kept it going smiled all the way!! The dishes were humongous the amount of food was ridiculous even on the kids meal there was enough in one kids meal for three kids!! Everything was made from scratch and everything tasted phenomenal!! We just moved to the area and my in-laws were with me I was very nervous that we would find a place that would meet everyone's standards but this will knocked it out of the ballpark it was amazing thank you guys for the best food we've had in a long time we will continue to recommend you to everyone we know!!

I had a really nice steak with mushrooms, home cut fries and a house salad. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. The steak was cooked exactly how I wanted it (med rare). They served it with steak sauce on the side, but none was needed because the flavor was fantastic. Two thumbs up and I would definitely recommend it.

We stopped in for lunch and had burgers. The waitress was very nice and very attentive without being a nuisance.
The food was very good and cooked as ordered. The fries are hand cut and delicious. This was our first time there. We'll be back.

My husband and I were on our way home from Christmas shopping and wanted to eat at a locally owned place. Jamo’s was perfect! We didn’t know they have date night every Wednesday night with live music and an awesome date night menu! Huge portions and prices were so reasonable! Our waitress Kelly was super nice and was very fast! Highly recommend the place to anyone for an amazing meal! Can’t wait to go back !

I stopped in with friends and enjoyed the 16oz prime rib special on a Saturday. It was delicious and I had a glass of Cab with it. Btw, best croutons I've ever had in a salad! Will visit again if I'm in the area!

Each and Every Visit the Food is Great. Service stellar. Beautifully decorated (could use some sound dampening panels in the ceiling) Great Value and a fave of my parents, myself & husband. Even my sisters & her husband from MD love this place. Ice cold Heineken too

I'm pretty sure this place is a hidden gem....surely, if more people knew about it there would be a long line to get in the door. Fried pickles in a batter so delicate, homemade sweet butter, warm homemade bread, fresh grilled asparagus--I was leery about the place because there was two people that said the service was bad. NO--the server was amazing...attentive...patient with my kids. My seven year old got the General Herkimer burger....he said, " I think I died and went to burger heaven."

We came for our anniversary. The food was great and the portions were very generous. The server was fast and efficient, brought us refills without us having to ask. Very reasonable prices. All around great!!

Best restaurant in Herkimer! The food was amazing! Great selection of appetizers, sandwiches and entrees. Highly recommend the pulled pork mac and cheese appetizer. We also had the deep fried cheese curds, poutine and corn fritter appetizers. All were great! Was here with a group of 5 and everyone loved their food. Had their French dip sandwich. Was really good. Highly recommend this place.

Amazing!! From the fried pickles, which melt in your mouth, to the sweet home made butter on the still warm bread....Jamos is incredible. The beer battered fish and chips was so good...I thought my 8 year with (with an adult appetite) was going to lick the plate. The hand cut fries....those are simply heaven! If you haven't eaten here....and you are a local....shame on you! If you are passing through, you MUST eat here....the food is worth the wait---which they do warn you about before you enter the dining room.

Dinner was very good. They took my favorite item off the menu. Shrimp and scallops in a three cheese sauce. Was not happy about that but still a nice place to eat.

Had a delicious burger. Quiet and friendly atmosphere.
