Cute little place. Surprisingly had some of the better Mexican food my gf and I have tried in the Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess area. Had nice outdoor seating. Very good drinks. And really flavorful food. Will absolutely be choosing this place the next time we're in the area and in the mood for good Mexican. We ordered Fish Tacos and Birria tacos and Rajas con Crema, which was new for us and really good! Got Burritos to go and had one the next day. Really really good. Update 1/28/24: Probably 5th time here. Keep coming back. Still the best Mexican around, by far.

Had a lovely meal at Casa Ortega. A rose sangria, very tasty. My friend and I split the NY strip steak with a cheese mole enchilada (we were curious about the mole). We followed up with the chicken enchiladas verde which were especially packed with flavor.

This place is a gem. The food was so fresh and delicious and the perfect spot for a cozy comforting winter dinner.

My husband ordered a kiwita cocktail and it was delicious. For the main course, we ordered veggie tacos that came with a side of rice and beans - everything was just amazing. And we ordered a corn tortilla vegetable quesadilla it was delicious too. The dips they served with nachos were so good that we ordered them twice.

This can be a go-to place for Mexican food!

We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. 1st impression upon walking in was excellent. The restaurant is clean and the decor is bright. The bathroom was as clean as if it was their home. We sat outside on the patio and they allow pets. The drinks were excellent food was absolutely exceptional. Now for the service, I think this is a family owned business, the waitress was superb, like she she had more than 40 hrs invested in the restaurant. Highly recommended !!!

One of the top 3 restaurants in Dutchess County. Food is definitely gourmet, and not just standardized Mexican food, but food cooked with Mexican flare. We had the BBQ ribs, Empanadas, and Pineapple Tacos. Everything was seasoned to perfection, and the taste of the street corn was a delicious taste I never experienced before. I only give atmosphere 4 stars since that location was never the greatest to work with as a restaurant. Service was attentive and pleasant. Sangria was one of the best I have had as it was not sugared down, yet had body to it. Would love for this place to get a better location, as the food blows away many other fine dining establishments close by.

We had an amazing time at Casa Ortega. Love that we were able to sit outside. Everything we ordered was soo delicious. I appreciate their unique menu which still highlights the classics. If you love Mexican food you have to come here!

We went for a late lunch around 3:30pm on a Saturday. We had the choice to eat inside or out. We chose out. The seating area is close to the highway but there is not much traffic to bother you. I had the crispy white fish taco that was excellent. It came with rice and black beans. My companion had their quesadilla. Like a pizza where you can choose your toppings, you can choose your meat selections. It was topped with sour cream and cheese. The salsa was on the side. She said it was the best she has ever had. We will certainly go back to try more of their food.

One of the best spanish restaurants around. Their Mexican food is amazing. The table chips and hot sauce dips are some of the most addicting I've had. Their queso fundido is must share appetizer and their homemade corn tortillas are one of a kind. Their quesadilla is so unique and delicious- regardless of which protein you add in. If you are looking for a great spanish brunch, try them out- their memelas will be your favorite item! Anything off their menu is worth trying.

Best Mexican in the Hudson Valley. You will not be able to eat burritos elsewhere.. the Rajas con cremas is amazing. I also recommend the amazing brunch. We keep coming back and love this place.

The outdoor seating was so cute! The brunch menu made it next to impossible to pick a meal. It all sounded delicious! The Bellini is how we started the day and then enjoyed the quesadilla and burrito. Perfectly seasoned and the crispy home fries. You will definitely want to finish the meal with the churros and ice cream. Yum!

A new classy Mexican Restaurant in Wappingers Falls. Tried this place Sunday night and loved it, clean, nicely laid out and friendly. The restaurant feels like and is very much a family affair with Chef Fermin and Mayra Ortega. You can see and taste the years of experience working in Restaurants in New York City. Bring the taste of their small town home of Peña Colorada In the state of Pueblo blended with the satisfaction of New York City dinning. Starting with freshly made guacamole and restaurant made chip that added a little extra with the red and green salsa. Love the traditional corn with my Chipotle Barbecue Baby Back Ribs. My wife had the Quesabirria Tacos Three corn tortilla filled with slowly braised short ribs in Mexican dried chilies and spices, Oaxaca cheese, red salsa, onions and cilantro served with side of beef stew. It is sort of like tocos with French dip. The flan was so Nicely presented snd very smooth and creamy yum.

The environment is relaxing. The food is incredible everything is made from the scratch and the drinks are not only instagram worthy but also delicious. I'm from the city and wouldn't mind coming down here when visiting upstate.

Authentic Mexican food with unique flavors and rarely seen ingredients. The decor is modest yet makes you feel like you’re transported to a spot in Guadalajara. Cocktails are thoughtful and executed very well. Nice ice!

Another exceptional meal at Cafe Ortega!! This time we tried the Al Pastor and Pollo Tacos and were once again amazed. The pork tacos had a slight spice and the chicken tacos were straight up delicious. Even though we full from dinner and the guacamole and chips, we decided to order the Churros which came with a chocolate and caramel dipping sauces and the Flan de Vainilla. Both were beyond good. Please do yourself a favor and stop in and treat yourself to an excellent Mexican meal.

Great food and fantastic drinks! Had the Cinco special of Enchiladas de Mole Poblano. It was incredible, and highly recommended. Paired with a mango margarita that was made with natural ingredients made for a excellent combo. I'd go again and recommend this place to everyone.

EXCELLENT!!! Visiting Family in Poughkeepsie and visited Casa Ortega for lunch. Their food is authentic, and service was great... Friendly and accommodating staff.

I am soooo happy to finally find an excellent Mexican restaurant with FAIR PRICES around here! I enjoyed everything! You guys gotta try this place! I loved the queso fundido, the carnitas burrito and the tacos. Highly recommended ✌🏼
