Wonderful place to stay! We will definitely be returning back here. We needed a place to stay during a weekend of hiking multiple mountains in Saranac Lake. The office was very accommodating to our late arrival and extremely friendly. We didn't need anything super fancy, just a place for 3 of us and our dog to rest, shower, and make food. $125 for the cabin was an excellent value. The cabin included electric heat, a microwave, a coffee pot, mini fridge, shower, toilet, sink, griddle, a full size bed, two bunk beds, and a porch with two chairs.

We brought our own RV but the cabins and bathrooms look well maintained. Everyone has been nice, rules seemed to be followed, and the grounds are well kept. The only issue we had was the baby swing at the playground was broken.

I forgot my contact solution, my husband asked the lady at the desk where to go and she kindly offered to let me fill my contact case with her personal bottle. It was so kind and very much appreciated.

I came for 2 nights with my friend for hiking+camping. This area is beautiful, close to Lake Placid town and many hikes. Draper's acres is a no fuss, convenient camping location, equipped with clean, private bathrooms with showers and sink. The campsite is for RVs and tents, very spacious with electricity and water. I'll definitely be coming back. I even forgot my makeup bag and Leah sent it back to me by mail! Thank you so much

Came for the Lake Placid Lacrosse summit. I'm staying here for the week. Nice place got something for everyone cabins, tent area, and RV spots. Laura at the desk is very helpful. I left my meds at home and had them delivered to the campsite. She had my # and took the delivery. Great place, and I'll be back next year

Really loved our time here. The campsites are private and you are not right on top of the next site. The people working the front desk are also really nice and helpful. The bath house was clean and well lit.

The best campground in the area by far. Being in between Keene and Lake Placid allows for easy travel around. The camp site offers electricity, drinkable water, AND showers all for a really reasonable price. Also, the shop sells the cheapest firewood around, and you get a fair amount of it too. Will come back next time I'm around.

Stayed here two nights during a hiking trip. Really only spent time to sleep here but the amenities were great, campsite private enough given how many sites there are in a small area. Would stay again.

Snagged a campsite last minute, Laura was so friendly and helpful she also gave AWESOME recommendations for food and hiking in the area. Free hot CLEAN showers, great campsites, cheap campwood; perfect for what we wanted and needed and located so close to downtown and/or trails. We will definitely be staying here again when we’re in the area. Thank you guys for a great experience!

We have been here several times to tent camp. The family that run the place are easy to talk to, the showers have good water pressure, and the location to the Adirondack Lodge is exceptional.

Highly recommend this campground. The sites in our section (1-6) were spacious and well separated with mature trees.

The staff is very friendly and the customer service was exceptional. Showerhouse was clean with hot showers and well lit.

In addition, the location is perfectly situation to both Lake Placid DT and the areas most visited trails.

Thanks again for a great stay and see you next year...

We got there on a rainy day and were quickly helped to our campsite with dry firewood. The staff were all very nice and helpful, and gave us food and hiking advice. The drive to lake placid was only a short 10 minutes with beautiful views which made it easy to go back and forth. The campsite was comfortable and the bathrooms were surprisingly very clean considering there were a lot of people there for the forth of July weekend. I left my makeup bag in one of the bathrooms on the day we left and they were extremely helpful and kind, and even mailed it home for me! I would absolutely recommend this campground for anyone looking for a peaceful place to stay right out of lake placid. I will definitely be back!!

Great campsite. I have used their tent sites and cabins. Both are great options. Close to many trailheads. Nice enough washrooms and showers

After 3 years, this is our go-to camping spot for anything in the High Peaks, and it's wonderful. Staff are always friendly and extremely accommodating and the sites are close, but not too close. The shower houses and restrooms can be iffy depending on the season (as I know they're renovating), but never a deal breaker for tent camping. It's about 10 mins into Lake Placid and 15 to Keene, nicely central for driving and local hikes. I always recommend this campground to friends traveling to the area.

This is my second year coming up from Connecticut to enjoy the Adirondacks and Lake Placid area. The first time I stayed in a tent. This time I stayed in one of the cabins. Had a great time, nice free hot shower facilities. Wood and ice available for purchase until 9pm. Love this place and it's close to everything. Great staff/owners friendly and very helpful.

Me & a friend used the camping as a resting place in between hikes. The owners were very kind and helpful. We arrived late at night on our first day, a map with our camping spot indicated was pinned at the reception billboard for us to find and install our tent. The camping offered the perfect amount of ameneties for hikers who want to leave early in the morning without hassles while sleeping in nature during the nights. The restrooms and showers were clean every time we used them. It is very well situated, a few minutes away to both the adirondack loj & cascade trails by cars.

Drapers Acres is lovely. The Drapers are the sweetest family and they truly care about their guests. They are working on the backlog of maintenance from previous ownership. Give them a call and they’ll find you the best site for you. We stayed in a cabin, which was sparkling clean and adorable. Perfect for a family of four, with room for a pack-n-play. The shower house is clean. The camp store sells ice ($2/bag) and firewood ($5/bundle with delivery to your site!), which is very convenient. The kids love the great big swings and large lawn to run around.

It’s super close to Lake Placid village, Mt. Van Hovenberg and excellent swimming spots like Cascade Lake. Thank you, Drapers Acres! We’ll be back.

Nice fire pit , newer picnic table, nice level site, lots of trees for privacy. Only $40 a night all in. Wow- great price and awesome location as base for exploring high peaks area. Stayed in a cabin at Draper's while hiking for 3 days. Had a great experience! The staff were friendly and attentive, and the cabin was clean and well-maintained. Had our own fire pit and picnic table - wood and kindling was provided on-site for a small fee (very convenient!). The shower houses/bathrooms were cleaned daily. Would definitely stay there again!

Booked this a few months ago knowing it was going to be almost peak for fall foliage and wasn’t disappointed! Clean, accommodating, friendly staff with fast responses. Also DOG FRIENDLY. Checked in super late and they left a map with key for me. Cute little cabin with Necessities needed. Lots of Stores near by. Ended up doing cascade trailhead which was 4 min away because Indian head was already reserved a week ago. But cascade was well worth the hike.
