El Jalepeno Charro is THE BEST restaurant in New Windsor. The family is wonderful, personable, friendly - they treat you like family! The atmosphere is fun and lively! Anything on the menu is delicious! Brunch is fantastic and what we came for today!

If Carlos is your waiter you’re going to have a great time! The birria omlet was outstanding! Every employee is engaged and the food is consistently delicious! I love this place ❣

El Jalapeño Charro is the best! Everyone is fantastic, the food is wonderful, and the atmosphere is very family oriented! Luis is a fantastic bartender and makes sure everyone has what they need! We love to come here and be a part of the Jalapeño family! All the servers are very attentive and we have never had a bad meal here! If you’ve never been here you’re missing out on a truly amazing experience! Try them out you won’t be disappointed!

I can count on one hand the number of reviews i have left for reaturaunts... You will NOT be disappointed. I have tried almost all of their dishes and have never been disappointed. IMO their prices are below standard for the quality and quantity of their dishes. The service is extremely friendly, and is much like a family type atmosphere. Hands down, overall, the best in this area!

This is the best Mexican restaurant around! I’ve been to quite a few, but this one is my favorite. I’ve ordered takeout from here for years, but dining inside is a special experience. It’s so beautifully decorated. The service is great! Everyone is always so nice and attentive. The food is delicious and fresh. They give a very consistent experience. I’ve never had an issue here. My sister and nephew love it here as well. I took my sister here again recently to celebrate a milestone birthday and it did not disappoint. The holiday decor was lovely too! Thanks!

What a amazing Mexican place. The staff was attentive and very friendly. The margaritas were strong and delicious we had classic and tamarind margaritas. Both were amazing. The plants which adornd the establishment were beautiful and natural. The menu was diverse and authentic. Our food was impressively delicious. The artwork was phenomenal. This is not a place to miss. I strongly encourage you to try this place. We will be back.

AMAZING! We had: Avocado with Cheviche, Tamales and Shrimp Fajitas as our main dish, the shrimps were perfectly cooked on the hot plate! Ask for the home made spicy sauce but be careful, its VERY spicy!

Everything we ordered was super tasty and huge portions. I think we could’ve sticked to the 2 appetizers only because they were huge.

The place looks and smells clean. The colorful chairs were super cute touch. What a great find in Hudson area.

Definitely a must try. You won’t regret it!!

I love eating here for their varied dishes (the tacos birrias are my favorites with the churros for my sweet tooth) and enjoyed their margaritas (which they’re very popular). I always have a good time and they’re very accommodating,welcoming, and provide entertainment.

My 2nd time coming here and this is definitely my favorite Mexican spot in the area! Food is phenomenal, dessert is delicious, even the coffee is good!

Last time I came I believe I had the camarones al diablo, it was delicious and I swore I'd come back; took me almost a year or two but I came back and I'm glad I did! This time I got the enchiladas mole poblano, and tried some of my wife's birria tacos, and for dessert we had the churros.

Definitely a solid place worth coming to, I'll definitely be back at some point!

Stopped by El Jalapeño Charro after visiting storm king art center. We were STARVING. We loved our food, the ambiance inside the restaurant is right on brand for authentic Mexican cuisine. The waiters were males, they were very attentive and friendly. All of our food items were fresh, and delicious. Once you sit down you are given chips and salsa as a house courtesy, chips were fresh and the salsa was great! We got the guacamole for the appetizer and tacos for our main course. Overall we had a great experience and we would return. Stop by and see for yourself. Thank you!

Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere but dinged for weak AC. Still gave a 5 because they gifted us tequila shots due to AC issue.

We’ve been coming here for years. Carlos is great and always so friendly. You can tell he really cares about his customers and restaurant. The food is excellent every time and they make you feel like family.
