I absolutely love this book store. It’s clean, smells nice and very orderly! The owner is also wonderful! She is kind and knowledgeable but not pushy and will just let you enjoy the experience of discovering what precious gems are hidden amongst the shelves.

A true collector herself, she is very willing to be on the lookout for books you’re looking for as she is scouring to find more books for the store. I always find something that I’m interested in for my own collection and it’s a very reasonable price!

You won’t regret going, meeting the lovely owner and finding something spectacular in this bibliophile’s dream of a store!

What a wonderful find. Beautiful store well laid out. Cozy and comfortable. The books have a wide range. From comics to mystery romance, children's books etc. The owner was friendly and inviting. Hope to return in the near future.

The loveliest place I've had the good fortune to stumble upon in a long time

As part of my itinerary on a book-hunting expedition, this bookshop was the third one I visited for the day, and it was indeed a true charm! (—not to say that the others I’d already visited were anything short of fantastic, but this shop is truly awesome.)

Walking in the door, a wonderful aroma greeted me, as did the equally wonderful proprietor. She was solicitous and helpful, and showed me my sections of interest. It’s not a large shop at all—and though very tastefully arranged and decorated—being in a small town, but it’s got so much charm, and a pretty good selection on science, history, fiction, children’s lit, and the local area.

What brought this shop over the top for me was that she had a rare CD featuring my favorite violinist, among the music, and I was just thrilled to have found it. That, along with many other great discs in LP and in CD media, were well worth a looksee.

My partner Brian knew Brittani from a bookstore in New Paltz, so we took the lovely drive from there to Walden to check out her store. It’s wonderful! She organizes the books beautifully for easy searching, provides comfy furniture for checking out books leisurely, has a great children’s area with a train set and colorful books face out for easy viewing, and set up a second room for non-fiction. There’s plenty of room for social distancing, and she sells some very nice items like masks and cards as well. We found books and comic books at great prices. Highly recommend!!
