Wholesome, welcoming, and super chill. Sam the bartender is a legend. Really felt taken care of and there’s a great selection of craft beers and cocktails to go along with it. Great crowd too

The best part about this place is that it is not the other places that are near it. Kingfisher is local quality and most of all it is chill. It is the last vestige of quality booze without exorbitant prices or douche bag clientele. It’s real hard to find something like that on 14th St., in 2023. Jackie is amazing!!

Great bar with a good happy hour between 4 and 8. All the beers and wine are in cans but there is a very wide selection to try and the menu has tasting notes.
Great place to go and try a few different beers local or foreign.
The staff are brilliant and will give you good guidance if you aren't sure.
Another bonus is free popcorn. 🙂

This was the best place for a first time drinker! It's very very friendly!! I already hopped from bars one being from my own gay community and was not greeted or welcomed I felt out of place. I popped downstairs and it was honestly the best thing I did.(Janine) the bartender she and the guard were great! I had a really good time and conversation with each of them I'm definitely coming back. Please tip her well she deserves it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10 stars

I come here about once a month for bingo on Mondays. They have good drinks and free popcorn. It's casual and fun. Also you can bring your own food into the bar which is a plus.

Kingfisher is the perfect neighborhood bar. Nearly nightly events like bingo and trivia, a killer happy hour I feel mixed about sharing (because I don't want people flooding it and taking my seat!), a fun and unique beer selection, koozies koozies koozies, free popcorn + BYOF... idk, Kingfisher is simply a feel good spot that is reliably a good time.

Y'all. I went here for bingo with my mom and we had an ABSOLUTE BLAST. Bartender, Alfonso, was so personable and awesome. It looks small but it feels homey and is so welcoming once you get in. Highly recommend and will be going back if I'm ever in the area again!

Stumbled (not literally) upon this bar after seeing a sign that said free popcorn. It was certainly a good advertising pull as the group I was with decided to stop in. The vibe, the music, and the clientele was not obnoxious and the board game options were endless.

The bartenders were extremely welcoming and the endless amount of popcorn we ate (we did tip each time) was great because they offer several different toppings.

I can say if you are looking for a place to enjoy music, play games, and still be able to talk with your group - this is the place to go.

I found this spot last time I was here and really loved it. The bartender Rich is really cool and knows a lot about the local scene and the cool stuff going on in town. Also makes cool art. Check this place out.

Small basement bar that has a good deal of seating. Besides your classic cocktail and beer menu, I really enjoyed the boardgame selection! They are also continuously making popcorn, if you like a little (free) snack.

Whoever came up with the idea of a bar that let's you bring your own food and serves free unlimited popcorn is a genius. The beers are fantastic (and affordable) across the board, and I think my friends and I have drank at least half their selections through our combined efforts by now. The menu also does a great job describing and categorizing each beer, which is SO helpful if you're not familiar with every brand or microbrew from wherever. The staff has been super nice, and we even stuck around for a bingo night once and had a grand old time.

Best bar in DC, hands down. Cheap drinks, great beer selection, free popcorn, and there's always a table open. If you want a happy hour drink, especially for bingo on Monday, look no further.

Great selection of beer, good happy hour prices, and a bartender with a clever movie strategy. As the evening goes on, she works in more feminine themes. She'll go from Stallone at 7 to Mean Girls by 11. She says the guys are into it.

Small-ish bar, probably most fun for happy hour during which they have $2 off all beer and wine. They also do free popcorn (add old bay on top if you like good things). Good music selection and board games galore. They also show movies on all the tvs there. I like it for the relaxed vibe and if you want to have good beer on the cheap.

Very relaxed atmosphere. Bartender recognizes you, friendly service; many patrons stick to their own groups. Just a very calming space. Will be back!
