Our cat became suddenly ill and was given the very best and thorough care at Zion Veterinary Hospital in Hurricane. Unfortunately her prognosis was very poor and she needed to be humanely euthanized to end her suffering. The Veterinarian, Dr. Shae, was so thorough in her care and so compassionate with our cat and with us. Her empathy at a very sorrowful time was very appreciated. The technicians and staff, (even the front desk) were so empathetic and kind at a time of great sadness. This dreaded day in a pet lover's life was made so much more bearable by their kindness and care. Highly recommend their services for your furry family members.

My mother and I brought our cat Ollie in yesterday on an emergency when he got really sick. The best part about our visit was the technician Caroline. She is an amazing, caring and smart young woman who took good care of our Ollie. And after just one day of medication he is already back to great health! Thank you Caroline and thank you to the vet team for saving his life!

I have 2 dogs, and one of my dogs is very timid and scared. When go into the vets, they did amazing and were very slow with him and took their time to make it. So he wouldn't be so scared This is the first vet I've been to and They didn't tell me right off. The bat that they needed to sedate him and I really appreciate it. The staff and the doctors are amazing. And I'm definitely bringing my boys back here.

Absolutely my favorite place to go for vet care for Reggie. However my dog probably disagrees because his eyes said, Mom save me when they gave him his shots. They listen & I love the technician that clips his nails. Other pet groomers claim it will cost me double because he hates to have them touch his feet. After the ordeal he even got a new lamb chop because he was a very well behaved dog at there office.

The care and time that was placed towards our dog, Lily, was our hope when we chose Zion Vet. A couple of their receptionists might work on their empathy but the place is clean, tidy and the doctors are what you want when your dog is going under anesthesia. Lily was completely back to herself in 2 days after her spay. We’re glad we chose them.

I’m on a road trip across the USA with my 19 years old cat. I needed to see a veterinary quickly so I booked there and I saw Doc Casey Wittwer. We were well received, the tests was quickly done with a lot of compassion and even the service after was great. I wish I have this clinic close to my place.

These guys saved my pet’s life!

My Guinea pig had a very bad infection which created an open wound. I had taken him to an emergency animal hospital in Salt Lake City and they had sent me home with just an antibiotic. After a few days I saw the wound was not improving so I decided to give Zion Veterinary Hospital a call. They visited my Guinea pig the very next morning and gave him a better antibiotic and some pain medications on top of scheduling him for surgery.

Now, just 3 days after surgery, my pet is making huge progress in his recovery!! I cannot express how grateful I am for the help and care I received from this hospital. I strongly recommend them. They saved Scruffy’s life.

Very nice clinic. Is a new building with a large parking lot. Doggy bags out front in case your animal needs to use the front lawn before the visit. Inside is clean for the most part. Lots of dogs and cats in and out throughout the day. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Doctors are very helpful and friendly. Both staff and doctors worked very calmly and nicely with my dog. Would recommend to friend.

We have been using Zion Veterinary since 2017 in both their old location and now the new. The staff and facility have provided for our pets for annual check ups and vaccinations as well as emergency services. We recommend them very highly and look forward to using them in the future. When my Doggo was in need of serious help, Zion Veterinary Hospital was able to get her in to be seen that day. They did not push me off. (When I had called my previous Vet office, they told me it would be 9 days before they were able to fit her in, plus the receptionist had a "it's my way of the highway" tone.) Zion Veterinary Hospital had the patience to listen to me explaining all her issues, gave thoughtful explanations and provided her with several medications that would help her feel better. They did a follow-up call a couple of days later to see how she was fairing. A month later my Doggo had a follow up visit, and again received more medication to help her with her issues. It's wonderful to have a Veterinary practice that REALLY IS as great as this one is.

I have been going to Zion Veterinary Hospital for more than 15 years. Dr. Wittwer and all the staff have always made me feel that they really care about my dogs. I recently adopted 2 senior dogs from an animal rescue and Dr. Wittwer checked them over for me at no charge. He found a few minor problems the rescue had missed, but other than that my new guys are in good health. I trust Zion and highly recommend them.

I love Zion Veterinary Hospital. I am comfortable and confident that my fur babies are well taken care of. I live 25 minutes away and it’s worth the drive.

We love this clinic. I have two large breed dogs. My 9 year old developed a mass on his shoulder, so we took him in to be seen. After a close evaluation, there were actually 3 separate tumors that needed to be removed. The clinic provided us some great options so we could evaluate how to best care for our pup. I was concerned that surgery would be too hard on him, but after going over the information, we decided to go ahead with the procedure. The staff took such great care of my pup. They gave me everything I needed to feel comfortable, and my ol' boy has done awesome. They called to follow up after and make sure he was doing well. This is a popular clinic that is very busy, and they have made strides to keep everyone prioritized and taken care of. Highly recommend.

Excellent experience today. They were able to get our dog right in. He had a cut on his back paw. They were very accomodating to get him in so quickly. Very clean facility and large open rooms.

The waiting area is clean and the front office staff were very helpful. They even called and had our dogs records transferred before we arrived. Took excellent care of our dog on such a short notice.

Dr Wittwer has been our vet for many many years. I usually end up with the animals that no one wants, so I have special needs, difficult to care for, high maintenance animals. Needless to say, I am in there a lot. I tried alllllll the vets over the years and settled on Dr Wittwer. He has been nothing but wonderful to us. We’ve had dentals, emergency surgeries, all kinds of procedures done on all kinds of animals. My very special needs dog, Winnie, who had everything wrong with her was given the best and most kind care over the years. When it came time to let her go a few months back, I requested that Dr Wittwer be the one to do it. He was already very booked up and they said there was no way he could do it. I was sad, but understood. To my surprise, the next morning, I found out that Dr Wittwer had learned that we were saying Goodbye to Winnie, and had taken it upon himself to move everything around so that he could be there for our little girl. What a comfort that was to us. Winnie was able to be with someone familiar as we said Goodbye.
The vet techs have always been great with us and the front desk nice to deal with. I am always been treated with compassion, kindness, and respect.

Everyone at Zion is incredibly caring and goes above and beyond for their patients (and the humans who bring them in)! It’s a bit out of the way if you’re in St. George or Ivins, but I promise it’s worth the extra drive time, especially if you have an exotic pet.

I cannot thank and love this clinic enough.

My cat, Kiwi, sneaked out when I was at work, and my friend was working in my yard. He ended up with an unknown injury and came home with left hind leg limping on Wednesday night when I am finally home.
Thursday morning first thing I started to call any vet I can get a hold with. Mind you, that we live in Kanab, which is an hour away from Hurricane, and hour & half away from any major establishments in st George. And Kanab vet is booked, emergency and regular, all the way to September. So was the other clinics in southern Utah region. Not to complain, with a vet and vet technician shortage, I totally understand the situation, but still half-hearted hope someone can help because Kiwi has almost completely stopped moving around or eating.
Prayer has been answered when the reception picked up my phone call after almost 3 and half hours of calling and searching. After listening to Kiwi’s situation in my shaking voice, I was booked immediately for next morning.
When I arrived at our appointment, both Kiwi and I felt safe very soon when we settled down, because of the friendly front desk , and of the comfortable and clean environment.
The technician listened to my talking calmly and patiently. Then the vet, Dr. Goolsby, came in to exam gently and thoroughly. She prescribed an X-ray as needed, then made the diagnosis sharply and accurately without me feeling rushed.
The price for this emergency visit with an X-ray, two prescriptions, and one exam, my bill was much smaller than I expected and budgeted.
Everything Kiwi and I experienced was beyond our imagination and the limping boy is already doing better.
Highly recommend with almost my full heart while I want to keep this gem in my pocket list so they would not get overbooked. Thank you everyone. Truly

My 9 month old rabbit began to have discharge from his nose. He was sneezing and had begun to wheeze when he breathed. I had noticed it but didn’t think much of it. After a while I noticed that he stopped being so interactive and had begun to eat less. I called our vet in town and unfortunately I was unable to get in. I called Zion and they immediately got me an appointment and were able to get him all fixed up. They were really nice and ready for any questions I had. He is doing great and all healthy.

They got us in right away, and every staff member we encountered was wonderful. Our vet explained everything clearly and was great with our pets care.

We had a great experience. Dr. Wittwer is thorough, compassionate, knowledgeable and takes the time to share results of blood tests. I’m thankful that he cares about our very old senior dog. The staff is also wonderful.
