Best Chinese in Dayton. Bar none. Authentic because they have to satisfy the Chinese Fuyao workers. Northern Chinese foods, very spicy and lots of dumplings and noodles. Try the peppercorn beef or fish, the Szechuan peppercorn is so hot but so good.

Most authentic Chinese food I've found in Dayton. Pleasantly surprised. Items we enjoyed include cucumber appetizer, fried rice, eggplant, green beans, fish in a rice wine sauce, and pan fried dumplings that were as beautiful as they were delicious. The spicy whole fish was well executed, but I'd probably not get it again. The sweet & sour chicken was ordered off a separate menu that, in retrospect, was probably just to satisfy American stereotypical expectations of chinese food... we should have known better.... dont make that mistake... stick to their regular menu.

Best Authentic Chinese in the lower half of Dayton! It is excellent Sichian cooking with skillful usage of Sicuhan Peppercorn.

Really nice staff, friendly. Ordered from the authentic menu, not the americanized. Per my parents, both menus are good. Definitely fun and easy to eat family style, but not mandatory. The lamb with green onions, lamb with cumin sauce, pork with bamboo shoots, pork dumplings with chili sauce, pork belly, black fungi and marinated cucumber appetizer were all excellent! Nice facility, fairly quiet atmosphere. Would go back 🙂

My husband has raved about the food here. He finally brought home take-out from this restaurant after he went to a meeting nearby, and it is the best Chinese food I've had since moving to Ohio from the Pacific Islands many years ago!

Everything had terrific quality ingredients, delicious flavors, and was well prepared. Highly recommended!

Most authentic Asian food in Dayton. Dumplings are so good. Dry fried chili chicken is crisp and a flavor explosion in the mouth. The staff is very friendly and accommodating with any requests for dishes not even seen on the menu.

Celebrated the new year with friends with a wonderful authentic Northern Chinese style meal. The presentation of all three dish was wonderful. The whole fried fish with spice bean sauce was excellent. Though the menu tagged the fish with a spicy hot pepper symbol, it was tasty mild. Don't be surprised
to pick lots of fish bones. The second dish was stirred fried shrimp with asparagus. It was cooked to perfection and the asparagus was crisp and not rubbery. The third dish was a stirred fried lobster tail in shell with red pepper, ginger and green onions... delayed spicy heat and tasty good. Surprised this restaurant was fairly empty at 730 pm January 1st... only two other occupied tables.

This restaurant is made to feed Chinese workers in USA supporting Fuyao so they can get the meals they would get at home. Food was excellent for my liking... and the Chinese person with me thought food was very good as well. That said a lot about this restaurant.
Try it, is not your regular sweet and sour chicken balls kind if place you have tried in the past.

As someone that grew up in Chicago 3 blocks from Chinatown, I have high expectations! This restaurant met those expectations. The food was fresh, hot and plentiful. The ambiance was nice. Smaller cut veggies and a bigger sign could go a long way.

This place is unlike any Chinese place I have ever ate at. It would actually be unfair for the Chinese restaurants you frequent to be judged in the same bracket as this place. The restaurant has two menus. One traditional to Chinese culture that would be more along the lines of what you would be eating if you visited overseas. And then a another menu that they have taken the meals that we have grown to love and made them more authentic as well. You can tell everything is homemade and not cooked from frozen.

I was visiting OH to see a friend and we went here by chance. This was the best Chinese food I have ever had. The portions were huge (which we did not expect and ordered way too much) and the food was delicious. The location was a bit strange, being between a few large factories which worried me, but it was all well worth it.

We tried the General Tso's Chicken, Hot and Sour Soup, Dumplings, and a noodle dish which name I forgot.

Great selections and atmosphere! Meals are served family style and they have seating for larger groups in private rooms or a general dining area. Plenty of parking. Staff was very attentive and enjoyable. Great food selections, several options for vegetarians!

Food is excellent! Restraunt is clean and nicely decorated. Staff is friendly. So affordable for the quality and amount of food you receive. We made the mistake of ordering multiple dishes thinking they would be individual portions but it's not. Its family style dining.

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but this place is gorgeous on the inside! (This would make a great date night spot.) They have two menus there - one looks like your typical Americanized Chinese food, while the other I think is possibly more traditional Chinese food. (It's right by the Fuyao plant, which has a lot of employees who are originally from China, so that makes sense.) My kids and I ordered one dinner from the first menu, and one dinner from the second, and it was more than enough for us to share. Both meals were incredible! I was impressed, especially for the price. Would definitely recommend!

I will admit that I came to Taste of the World with a little bit of trepidation; I had read several reviews about mediocre service. I am extremely happy to say that I could not have been more pleased with the service and the food.

We arrived at 7:30 on a Saturday evening, and the first thing we noticed was the decor. It is nice to see that the owner did not try and decorate the place with what Americans typically think of when thinking about a Chinese restaurant. The decor is contemporary, clean; almost a post modern motif. It was very refreshing and appealing.

We were seated immediately upon arriving and brought drinks soon after sitting down. The faint aroma coming from the kitchen was wonderful. If you are accustomed to the typical "American Chinese" restaurant, you are in for a pleasant surprise. It would be worth visiting this restaurant just to sit in the waiting area and smell the wonderful scents wafting from the kitchen.

As soon as we had finished looking over the menu, the waitress/hostess was there to take our orders. We ordered the Singapore noodles, and braised dongpo pork. I'm embarrassed to admit that I hit my stopwatch app to see how long the wait was. Less than five minutes. Folks, it takes longer than that to go through a buffet line. And the taste! I've never been to China, but if the food we were served is any indication of what to expect when we go, then I cannot wait to get on the plane. It was fantastic.

After tonight, this has become our new go-to place for Chinese food. If you are in the Dayton, Cincinnati, Springfield area, you have to stop and try this restaurant.

Excellent food the fish with Chiles was hot and tasty. The healthy lamb spine soup had a light aromatic taste, would suggest that you bring extra napkins the quality of the one, note I didn't say ones . Was substandard. Please try this restaurant

I dined In at this restaurant with my co-workers at Fuyao, service was great and fast, the food is AMAZING!!! Seriously, best Chinese food in the area by far. I ordered take-out on my second time trying this restaurant, it was ready when I got there and I appreciate the ease of ordering on the Cortana app!! Will definitely be enjoying this restaurant and their great food again in the future.

I was really surprised by how good the food is. I highly recommend everyone to give this restaurant a chance. It offers an American traditional menu and also food that are indigenous to China. I will be going back again and taking my family as well
