Went in there to get wrestling shoes for two students that needed them, employee with red hair and manager helped a great deal and gave me coupons and directed me to nearest big 5 that had shoes in stock, Awesome employees

I will be completely honest here, I didn’t buy anything from the store, but I was there during my 19th birthday, and was given some excellent customer service. As I was looking at some of the air, guns, one of the employees that were there came to my assistance and started asking if I need any help. I responded positively by saying that I wanted to look at some of the air guns, but they had on display to which they gladly obliged. After showing them my ID, they were relatively informative about each of the gun, so I was looking at, and even some of the names as well because they had some really good looking ones too. Afterwords, I ended up getting curious and started asking about the gun laws of California and how old I would have to be to purchase one and that’s where the magic truly began. They had told me about the hunting license and the benefits of owning one and how it would allow me to purchase a rifle and a shotgun so long as it fell under California gun laws.

I know it may seem like me rambling on, but the whole point here was that the customer service was great. They did what they needed to do, they help me, and were incredibly patient, even if it felt like I was wasting their time just by looking at all the air guns. Another thing too, was that they were also informative. They helped me and even brought up some options that I didn’t even know about. And here I was thinking, I’d have to wait two more years just to own a shotgun! Anyways, here’s five stars for customer service, keep up the good work!

I always have a great experience at Big 5 sporting goods. They have quality products at a great price. I get alot of shoes for the whole family. I get alot of my boxing and hunting gear there also. Swiming gear rafts, baseball and soccer gear. Ill upload some pics to show the types of stuff I get, to do the things we do. Weather its hiking shoes, backpacking, boxing gear or whatever it is. Great service and many goods to choose from. Get your guns fast though. No more guns soon but still going to sell ammo. Just affecting California.

Employees were very friendly. The male employee at the airsoft counter was very helpful and had a pleasant attitude. In store they tell you about their coupons and sales of the day which is very useful to save you some money.. They also have really good daily specials posted online.

Bought hooded Beach towels for my grandkids at a great price using the store coupon. I'm always happy with any purchase I make there using the coupons.

Great Customer Service! Bought a bike on display and it broke after a few days and on top of that I lost my receipt but they looked it up and gave a refund. Even offered to order a new bike if I was still interested. Very friendly and pleasant experience. Will definitely come back to this store

Went for a soccer ball, cleats, shinguard sale. The people who helped us were very nice. We were able to get what we wanted and leave. They even checked in the back for a size. I know that sounds like something they should do, but so many stores don't even bother checking if they have anything anymore. So it was nice.

Big 5 always has great deals on shoes. I bought a pair of hiking boots and they have been great! Good prices and helpful team members.

I was able to find my tent on sale for 29 dollars they had a few more in stock w coupon I got it for 27 dollars. I am iffy on the brand so I asked the sale associate. I set my tent up and if I don't like it will I be able to bring it back? There was a floor manager walking by heard my question and said with manager approval receipt yes I can bring it back even after I use it and don't like it. That's great I like to read the reviews everyone says this tent is not good in the wind. But I like to try for myself usually the reviews are never accurate.

Helpful employees, decent prices, and they had everything I needed for my son's soccer game the night before when he forgot where he put half of his uniform. Thanks again guys!

I always shop here at this location because I always get GREAT SERVICE AND FANTASTIC PRICES. BUT, this particular visit was a little different. My shopping experience was out of this world. The young man who helped me was really busy. He was taking care of not 1, not 2, but 3 customers at once. I was his 4th!!! He was PHENOMENAL!! He not only remembered my shoe size, he remembered both brands along with everyone else. I was TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY with his PROFESSIONALISM AND SERVICE. This young man will go very far in his life. Thanks for the GREAT SERVICE!!!

Big 5 on Shaw was awesome the staff is friendly and helpful we went looking for some sports equipment they showed us all the items that we were needing I love the deals that they have their you also can get a military discount if you have your military ID I will definitely be recommending this place to others and I will be going back again

Friendly staff greeted me as I walked through the door of a seemingly hostile parking lot as there was a police car with its lights on and some poor soul lucky enough to be the focus of those lights. Although they were obviously understaffed the young lady at the register broke away and helped me find what I was looking for. I give it 5 stars for excellent fire under pressure and would recommend maybe going during the day to avoid any parking lot light shows!
