I was super excited to book my stay at the Yosemite Valley Lodge. I worked directly with Cynthia at the front desk regarding some questions about my stay, and she was incredible. I have never had such good customer service in my life! She was attentive, informative, and very kind. I will be coming back just because of my interaction with her and the beauty of Yosemite!

YVL was great for us. A tad rustic, but all the modern conveniences in the unit in our building (Azalea). Perfect location as the store, bar/lounge (complete with a roaring, power ventilated, indoor fire, and delicious drinks and food), and food hall were steps away. What wasn't advertised, and we didn't realize because we arrived in the dark, was we had an amazing view of the Yosemite Valley upper waterfall, right outside our room. It was awesome!

Simple hotel. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Had all the basics and none of the extras. Perfect for when I didn't want to leave the park at night. There was a space heater in the closet which came in handy because it was cold.

Location, location, location. My room at Yosemite Valley Lodge looks up at Yosemite Falls. But it’s winter and the leaves are gone. That’s why I can see the falls. Nice mid week, mid winter 3 nights trip. The third night was free which is a good deal.

We were in the Juniper building. Our room was really 2 large rooms (1 king, 2 queen beds), 2 full bathrooms, balcony (even though we were 1st floor) and kitchenette. The grounds are beautiful. The beds and pillows were VERY comfortable. 3 adults and 3 kids. The kids loved it. If we'd have known, we would've stayed here for our entire Yosemite trip because it's closest to the valley and we didn't get a chance to use the game room or pools during our stay. The store had a lot of souvenirs and some food as well. We didn't try the restaurants because we brought food with us.

We were here for the food court.
I would suggest you go for the Starbucks here. Yes, they just opened one. Who doesn’t like a hot coffee with oven baked ham and egg sandwiches in a cold winter afternoon?

Quite frankly whoever redesigned the cafeteria has some explaining to do, because it is so far inferior to what it used to be. The modern food options at the lodge are either depressing or exorbitantly priced. It used to be so much better in its old layout and format.

It’s also barely half the size it used to be which is perplexing.

We have always enjoyed staying here. Keep in mind that it is the location that you are paying for. The rooms are nothing fancy but have always been nice. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. You can't find a better location (unless maybe you are staying and the Ahwahnee but even then I think the lodge has a better location).

Super cozy place. Perfect for a family of 4 to 6 people. Everything worked and easy to manage. Far from Yosemite valley, but worth the drive

Location can’t be beat. More importantly, the front desk reception had exceptional service. Didn’t catch her name, but the young woman with red hair was genuine and helpful.

Menu ordering system at a kiosk works really well. A great view out the glass wall was wonderful too! There's a microwave, gift shop, lots of restrooms! Very clean too!!!

Great location, all the services you need for visiting Yosemite. Good selection in the convenience store, good solid pizza. We didn't try the restaurant, but the menu looked good. Friendly staff.

Didn’t stay here but drove through several times while at Yosemite. It was packed, popular and everyone was smiling. I’d say it’s a great place. 10/10

If you've visited lodges in other national parks they can be very rustic. This one was not like that at all. I was really surprised that we had a refrigerator and a TV (not that we turned it on, I wasn't expecting one.) The bathroom in this room is nicer than mine at home!! We had plenty of nice hot water for four ladies to take showers back to back to back. I love that the sink is separate from the shower and toilet. There is plenty of room for everyone to feel comfortable. The beds are alright. Comfort wise i'd give them a 3/5. I can see a waterfall outside my room! What more could you ever want? Checking in came following a really rough tour and our group was pretty upset. We were taken care of so well. I don't think our room was really ready but they found us a place to get into to regroup.

It was booked, so we stayed elsewhere..but I did purchase tickets for a 2 hr guided tour online and I picked them up in the lobby..they were very nice, and they had a lovely food court and Starbucks.

In my opinion the best place to stay at Yosemite Vally. The location can not be beaten. Only short walk to Yosemite Falls and walking distance to Sentinel Bridge, and Swinging Bridge for example.
The facilities and rooms that are located in multiple building are old like is typical in National Parks but my room that was located in Cedar Building was of adequate size with comfortable bed, chair, dresser, and table with micro-fridge. There is heating but no AC which is typical in parks. Room Service was very good.
There are 2 restaurants one is fast food type called Eatery and the other more formal. Gift shop has many products with prices that are high as you expect in a remote National Park.
The staff at the front desk is very friendly and professional. Parking is free for customers. You get a parking permit for the park from front desk at checking in.

Beautiful meadows and mountain views. There are shops, coffee and food at the lodge. We didn't stay in this area, just a day visit.
