We just stayed at the lodge in the honeymoon suite. I can't say enough things on how great it was! It is just as described very clean and quiet. The view of the slopes were amazing. Very cozy and comfortable. Everyone was extremely friendly and nice and more than willing to help. We
would definitely stay again in the future.

Very friendly environment, specially to beginners like myself. Mark and Stephanie took the time and helped us get the equipment we needed and even to give a few pointers. First responder friendly. Super quick with returning our rented gear.

Without a doubt the best rental gear and service in Red River! We stayed in La Casita, super clean and fantastic location with a view. Would highly recommend! We preferred skiing in Angel Fire. They offer better service, faster lifts, and much cleaner facilities than Red.

People often equate luxury with price or visibility, erroneously thinking that an experience is only commensurate to the amount of money spent and the number of eyeballs staring.

However, having experienced the rental equipment delivery service from Sitzmark Sports, I can confidently say that the ultimate luxury is modestly priced and in the comfort of one's own (rented) home.

My wife and I wanted to take our children skiing for the first time. Secure in my ability to teach, my only fear was the inevitable boredom, pain, and locker room smell of ski equipment rentals with small kids in two.

Using only an online portal, we scheduled an equipment delivery to our rental home. A Sitzmark employee checked in with us 3 times to make sure we were prepared to receive them at a specific time window.

Slade strode into our living room like one of the mythological Ourea, the parthenogenetic offspring of Gaia, the personification of the mountains themselves.

With a gentle hand and a calm voice, he deftly fitted my family with ski boots, skis and helmets. When some of the equipment was not perfect, he and his partner Louie, left and returned with the correct replacements.

The entire process was so smooth, I can only compare it to cutting in line at Disney World or boarding in Group 1 on a packed flight.

My entire goal for our trip was to introduce my children to the joy of snow sports. Slade and Louie were their first impression to Red River, NM, and the primary reason why my kids were excited to go to ski the next day.

Do whatever you can to rent or purchase gear from this company. They are the good guys.

We spent the 4th of July at the Sitzmark and had a great time. The room was not fancy, but it was everything we needed. It was roomy and clean and the bed was comfortable. The only thing that would have made it better would have been an air conditioner. But, with that being said, there are not many with A/C in Red River...

We also went on a guided fishing trip that we booked through Sitzmark. Our guide, Payton, was amazing. He genuinely loves what he does. He was very concerned about us having a great time. He was helpful and very considerate. Being an older lady, he was extra careful when I was stepping in and out of the river. We will definitely be back! The owners were also super nice and on the property...

We had a wonderful experience on our 1/2 day guided fly fishing trip with Payton and Cooper at Sitzmark. This was our first time fly fishing, and they were both so helpful. Payton and Cooper were also very patient and kind to our 3 kids who are 6, 8, and 10. We all caught several trout, and we learned a lot. Thank y’all for an awesome time!

Slade did great on rental return and how to rebook. He had some great stories, loved the chocolate milk one!

extremely helpful staff. this was my first experience skiing, and the staff made sure that i was knowledgeable and felt comfortable enough in my gear before i left the door. everyone here is extremely friendly and supportive to beginners skiers. the whole process took no longer than 10-15 and equipment return took even shorter. all of the equipment i was given was fitted perfectly and thanks to them i had an extremely pleasant first time skiing experience. awesome staff

This was our first time skiing and snowboarding. I choose Sitzmark for rentals for my son and myself. I am glad I did! Everyone was friendly and helpful and showed us what we need to know. We also needed some socks and accessories and we were offered good recommendations. Pickup and returns were super easy! I knew I made the right decision when I saw all the people renting at the chalet the next morning! That area was so crowded! Make it easy on yourself and get good equipment and service at Sitzmark.

Awesome fly fishing experience! Everyone involved, from the employee who booked our trip to the guide that took us out, was knowledgeable, professional, and personable. We had a fantastic day, caught lots of fish, and can’t wait to book our next excursion!

From the moment we arrived, the owner treated us like old friends. We stayed in the largest room, which worked perfectly for the 7 of us. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathrooms were nice. It is central to everthing one could want to do in Red River. The balcony has the perfect view of the mountain for fireworks or the light patrol they do on Saturdays- no need to wait on the slopes! There are several restaurants within walking distance that serve amazing food. We rented snowboards and skis in the shop on the first floor. All of the attendants were helpful and knowledgable, and asked questions to make sure we were fitted properly.

From the moment I booked this to the moment our stay was over every single person we encountered was extremely helpful, polite, and responsive. We stayed at sitzmark lodge and rented ski equipment from them. The process was quick and easy, the ski boots were probably the most comfortable rentals we have used, the costumer service was excellent , The location of the rooms are great, everything we needed was within walking distance. Such a cute town full of great people.

We stopped into the shop to pick up some flies while we were in . Mike was so friendly and helpful. He gave us some great recommendations for our trip! Huge thank you to Mike for the help!

Great little store. We rented a surrey and the guy working there couldn’t have been any friendlier or more helpful. He advised us on what would work best for our group and he was so engaging and funny with the kids and adults alike. The atmosphere just felt like a place you’d be happy to spend time at. The price on the surrey felt really fair, too.

Perfect spot for vacation. Staff was friendly. Location perfect! Room was very clean and view were breathtaking 😍!

Our first time to Red River NM from Texas.We stopped in and had a wonderful experience. They have a terrific selection of top-notch, quality items. Chatted with the owners— they were super nice, helpful and knowledgeable. So much fish talk between the hubs and owner! We will be back and will try to stay here too!!

What a great family owned business and first time fly fishing experience. We had a mix of first timers and experienced fishermen, and Payton, Casey, and Mark were so patient and helpful. It was the perfect mix of professionalism and feeling like we’ve been old friends forever. Came from Texas and can’t wait to get back. I’m ready to fish any waters now after one outing with these guys. Loved it! Thank you Mark, Casey, and Payton!

And the store has a great selection of apparel and swag. So easy and fun to spend money on obviously high quality gear.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Sitzmark Lodge and were so happy we were able to get a room. It was so nice to walk into our room and see how clean it was! It was better then a regular clean hotel room! It seems to me that they actually care about the room being clean. I was not expecting such a well stocked kitchen either so if you want to make coffee, throw something in the crockpot or have toast... seriously they thought of everything!

The staff was incredibly friendly at the check in and check out! We will be back!!

Nothing but excellence! Checked in to the Sitzmark for a quick get-a-way and felt right at home. Awesome customer service! I love the outdoors and thought I'd try something new...How about fly fishing? What a great adventure! The guide was knowledgeable of the techniques and area and did I mention patient? Had a blast and caught my first brown on the fly! They stock a great selection of flies and any additional equipment needed, they've got you covered. I highly recommend.

We used Sitzmark for our first ever guided fly fishing adventure on our trip to Red River. We had a great time!!! Payton and Ethan did a great job instructing/guiding our daughters (11 & 9 years old). We caught 14 fish in our morning session. Highly recommend!!!
