This place is awesome. Can be a bit loud at night bc people are on vacation and getting drunk but overall it's so cool. There's a great communal space to hang out and meet people. They provide good free drip coffee upstairs in the morning. The showers are nice and clean and stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The beds are comfy and really clean. Even free toothbrushes upstairs if you ask. Great location to hang out at the bars and go eat after skiing. And a locker for everyone to store your stuff. I was really surprised by this place. Definitely recommend for a cheaper option in Jackson Hole when travelling solo to meet new people, have a nice clean spot to sleep that is super affordable.

I had a lovely stay. The hostel is small and in the basement of the Anvil Hotel above it. It is modern, comfortable, and clean. It is a hostel so there are lower and upper bunks. The bunks have large queen beds and a curtain for privacy. The bed was very comfortable. The bathrooms are private, clean, and stylish. Considering how expensive hotels are in this town, this hostel is a great value.

This is quite a fun place to stay. The entire facility was welcoming and clean. You get you own secured lock and foot locker (with towels for the showers included) and the beds were private and comfy. A nice fan in each bed space provided a cool breeze and white noise along with two outlets with two USBs to charge all my items overnight. The bathrooms were clean and always available. The staff was amazingly helpful and responsive and the vinyl collection in the common place was fantastic. Old and young is this fun community overnight stay. 100% recommended. Felt safe throughout the night and rested in the morning.

Bunk beds are really comfy with the added curtain for privacy. Previous reviews complain about no AC; however, there is now AC as of June 2023. Additionally, each bunk space has a small fan too. The bathrooms are clean with numerous to choose from. Staff are super helpful! The lounge area is calm with plenty of seating for various groups. The personal lockers offer additional storage as well. We'll definitely be returning to this hostel! It's a hidden gem in Jackson, especially for those more budget-minded.

Pros: good price for Jackson, walking distance to historic downtown, nice sitting area and tables, free coffee and tea upstairs, private showers, comfortable bed, and locked drawer and locker. Cons: You have to carry your things down a flight of stairs, it's in the basement, the bed cubby can get stuffy with the curtain pulled (they do provide a small fan), and you can't check in until 4. They told us we had to lock our bikes out front (they were okay), but the next day, a guy was able to bring his bike inside. It might have been that it was Labor Day when we arrived, and it was busy. It was surprisingly quiet after 9:30 pm, everyone was very respectful.

Highly recommend for solo travelers! I stayed here for two nights in February after my friends flew back home. It is located in downtown so super convenient. There is a $3 (each way, but they only take cash and no change so have your dollar bills at ready) express ski bus about a 7 minute walk away. The town of Jackson offers AMAZING public transit options. You can even request a free ride to go to the supermarkets on the outskirts of town! The hostel is very clean and spacious, has quite a few very clean bathrooms, and two lockers for luggage. The only thing I want to note is that there isn’t really a kitchen at the hostel, so if you would like to cook then it could be challenging. I was eating out all three meals of the day exploring Jackson’s food scene, and they did not disappoint! The hostel is managed by the hotel upstairs, so the check in is actually at the hotel lobby, which was confusing for me at first. The wifi is strong and steady. Overall a fantastic place to stay at Jackson if you’re traveling solo!

This is one of the nicest hostels I've ever visited. The pictures are accurate. The place is spotless. People are constantly cleaning. The sheets are white and crispy. This more of a boutique hostel. Let's be honest. The interior design isn't needed, but really appreciated. It is a good alternative to their sister hotels if you're traveling solo. The location is phenomenal because it just a block from the town square. The hostel is professionally managed so things run pretty smoothly. Just be aware there's no kitchen, but I really don't cook when I'm traveling solo. I just prefer a quick bite. The only other drawback might be price. However, JH is a resort town and this is the best price and value in town. I'm kind of impressed with what they delivered with the price.

Ideal for solo travelers/couples and for those willing to sacrifice a little privacy for low prices. Clean, friendly, and has a nice quiet warm vibe to the place. You get 2 lockers for lots of personal storage and bathroom/showers are private rooms. The bathrooms are small but didn't have any trouble finding one or didn't feel like anyone was waiting on me. Their quiet hours are outside of 7am-10pm, but I felt it was quiet all the time anyways. Beds are comfy and spacious. Parking is not offered, so you should find street parking or a parking garage (there's one that's a 10 min walk away).

I would boil this place down to 2 positives and 2 negatives:

Positives: Lowest prices across JH and walking distance to downtown area
Negatives: Hard to find parking and having to always mind your volume and other people's space

Conclusion:
For me personally, as a solo traveler, the negatives I mentioned were miniscule considering how expensive every other hotel in Jackson is. I came to maximize my vacation time so I didn't plan on being in my room much anyways besides to sleep and shower. You should really consider this place unless you have kids to tend to or are not yet comfortable sharing a living space with others.

This is exactly what Jackson needed. As a solo traveler I couldn’t justify the prices of anywhere else in town and even the hostel at JHMR is overpriced. It’s within a block of the heart of town with a super easy bus ride to the resort. The beds are super comfy - I wasn’t too hot like a lot of people said and the little fans helped with the small amount of noise from other guests. The private bathrooms and showers were amazing after a long day of skiing. And the lobby upstairs was a great space to get work done. The whole place was thoroughly cleaned daily. My only suggestions are to have a clearer location for skis/snowboards - people just propped them up everywhere. A small shelf next to the sinks and more hooks in the bathroom would be great as well.

As a solo traveler, I was worried I’d find something reasonably priced in Jackson and Cache House hit the spot! Having traveled extensively through Europe and stayed at some truly *questionable* hostels, it almost feels weird referring to CH as a hostel. I liked the mood set by the music and, let’s face it, if deep quiet and privacy is what you need, hostels are not for you.

I stayed here over July 4th weekend and - even though I’m a hot sleeper - I personally didn’t find it to be too warm at night. The wifi was strong, the ample communal space was convenient, everything was super clean, and I appreciated the numerous private bathrooms. The beds - and pillows! - were perfect. Not too hard and not too soft.

As another reviewer mentioned, my only suggestion would be to add another hook or two in the bathrooms and maybe even a hook or two in the bunks.

Never slept in a cubby before, but the place was clean and the beds were comfy. Plenty of storage for personal items. Given that the alternative in jackson is hotel rooms that cost more than my mortgage, this place is the best option in town.

Maybe one of the priciest hostels I’ve ever stayed in at ~$150/night, but relative to whatever else is around, this was the best value. I felt comfortable and safe the entire time. You have two locked cubbies - a smaller one under the bunks and a larger one down the hall. The bed is a full size with a privacy curtain, and it felt spacious for one. It’s also centrally located in downtown, and I didn’t have any trouble finding street parking.

While I don’t think I’d stay in Jackson hole again, I’d recommend it to solo or budget travelers passing through.

majority of people downvoting this have never stayed at a hostel in the middle of Germany before. this was the best hostel I've ever stayed at. the bathrooms are pristine--full showers with toilet and sink, good living area, bunks are private. ample storage for your things. the fan in the bunk was a great touch--I'm a light sleeper and slept great. I totally understand people wanting a/c, and good on Cache for acquiescing, but there's only so much they can do when the privacy blinds are pulled back, as air flow can't get in (i.e, need for fan). great stay for a good price in an expensive market.

First, it’s a hostel, not a hotel. But! they have “cubbies” with privacy curtains not bunks in a big shared room. The a privacy curtain completely closes off the cubbie from the hall. There’s a drawer underneath that locks with a combination plus large combination lockers that can hold any larger bags (within reason!) The queen mattresses in every cubby were really comfortable. There was a lamp and fan on the headboard and room for my roller bag at the end of the mattress, since I wanted to keep it with me.
The bathrooms offer an amazing variety. There were a number of toilets/sinks in private rooms. Also there’s many private rooms with a shower, toilet and sink. So if you bring your things in there, you can completely shower, use the toilet and get ready in a spacious private room. There is a big common space with couches and tables to hang out in, web surf, read or meet other visitors. The location is fantastic as it’s near many restaurants, bars and the central park. Downtown Jackson is easy walking distance. The hostel part of the same building complex as the Anvil Hotel; their lobby handles everything. The lobby offers free coffee, cocktails in the evening, wifi with plenty of seating, there’s a nice covered area right outside with tables and chairs. Sometimes there’s live music. They provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash and fresh towels. It’s very clean and I saw the cleaning crews hard at work throughout my stay. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. The place really has a lot to offer for the price and the only recommendation I would have is to add a microwave, fridge and maybe a coffee maker in the common area for those who don’t want to eat out all the time. Considering how expensive all the hotels in the Jackson/Jackson Hole area are, this place is a gem!!! I will return here for any visit to Jackson.
Wonderful!

I don’t usually like hostels but I highly recommend Cache - my boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights and this is definitely the cleanest and one of the best hostels we’ve ever stayed at. It’s the most affordable place to stay in in Jackson (yes it’s expensive for a hostel but compared to all the other options here it’s great). Checkin was super easy - shoutout to Aldo at the front desk who was exceptionally helpful and welcoming with all my questions. Shared living area is super clean and there are heaps of showers and toilets (all clean). Bed was legit so comfortable and my boyfriend is 6ft 4, and we fit comfortably together in the bed. There is a little fan in the bed area too which we used, didn’t get hot throughout night. Housekeeping were regularly cleaning the shared areas throughout the day and I saw them cleaning rooms after people checked out really well.
Perfect location literally a street away from centre.
Would stay here again xx

I was reading everyone else's review and felt like something reasonable should be said. I stayed at Cache House in the past, and it is easily one of the most comfortable hostels out there. Hands down. Not even an argument to be had. I read one person speak negatively about music preference. Like, seriously?!? Are there that many Ken's and Karen's running around Jackson that a decent and affordable resting place cannot be appreciated. I can tell all of you reading these reviews that the 3.2 rating is not an accurate reflection of what the property actual offers. It's a reflection of a bunch of entitled people who could not walk a short ten blocks. Or those that expected glitz from a discount option in a wealthy town. The reviews are absurd. And someone other than the owner should say that. Cache House is a solid place. Anyone who says otherwise needs to hike back to their Malibu shallow existence.

Great hostel. Would definitely stay again! It smells good, nice staff, & everything is super clean. I think any of the bad reviews are people that do not understand what a hostel is. Yes - no kitchen but no one has time to smell your tuna. Also, parking on the street is super simple; I parked in a free parking deck less than 5 blocks away. The main locker fit my backpackers backpack + more. The one under my bunk fit a normal backpack + more.

I’ve been staying here for the last three weeks, and I must say, this place is incredible. First of all, it’s a hostel. So, there’s an expectation for shared spaces and less privacy. But it is by bear the nicest hostel I have ever stayed. From the moment I checked in, Karolina and the staff made me feel right at home. Second, the beds are incredibly comfortable and come with four comfy pillows (which is unheard of for a hostel). Each bed has its own light, outlet, and privacy curtain. It’s a very comfortable sleep. Finally, the price is right for Jackson. It can be quite expensive here, and I found the value at the Cache House to be unmatched. Also, they do an excellent job requiring social distancing, frequent cleanings, and spacing out guests appropriately. I couldn’t be happier with my experience here!

IT'S AT THE ANVIL!

This was hands down a perfect experience; if you can get a bed here, do. Their beds are clean, comfortable, and spacious. Their restrooms are spotless, and the water heats up immediately. (We're talking about hostel stays, so that's important to note) Moreover, the staff has been fantastic. They make a killer cappuccino, and recommended me the perfect trail for the next day. I cannot see why you would look further if you're already reading this review.
