Best Western Plus Governor's Inn

Excellent experience! The desk clerk was always very friendly! Our room was clean & spacious with a comfy king size bed. We will stay here again for sure.

Second time staying here and same experience. Rooms are clean, and breakfast is good. Staff is friendly and the hotel is in a good location.

There is no staff that compares to the staff at The Governor's Inn!! It smell so clean and sanitized. Housekeeping is A+ ...Management is the kindest and most supportive!!. Oh my goodness I can't say enough about this location, 5 stars isn't enough!

We were going to a show at Maymont Park & needed a room for the night. This hotel is a hidden gem. Friendly & welcoming front desk staff. Clean room & smelled clean upon walking in. Nice size fridge in room is a great touch and the room was spacious. Love the brick buildings. Also the breakfast in the morning had a great variety & was hot & fresh. Will definitely stay again when in the area!

affordable and clean . slept and showered only. did not use any amenities, so can't comment. bed was comfy. shower was hot.

Older spot, but remodeled. The mattress leaves a lot to be desired. The room was neat and clean. Staff is bar none the most professional that I've seen in a long time, everyone, and that means everyone that I crossed paths with was so nice and helpful. It's the respect for me. Thank you for a great experience.

I am very pleased to give this hotel a 5-star review. The staff was very friendly, professional, and attentive. The room was immaculate. Check-in and check-out were done with ease. The location is great with a lot of available parking spaces. Without hesitation, I will recommend this location for your short- and long-term needs.

The room was large and clean and had a bathtub. No premium channels but... The staff was very helpful and pleasant but couldn't help me out with toothpaste. The breakfast was excellent, nothing like most free breakfasts. There are no cheap hotels any more. If you can't find a hostel, you have to decide: pay $65-$75 for a 3-star that has sketchy reviews and substance abusers, or look for that one 4 star place with great reviews and cough up $100. If you can get this place for $100, that's a good deal in today's world. It's worth it.

Such a wonderful hotel that provided a solid retreat. Full breakfast in the morning, excellent staffing, and all around good point systems with rewards to keep you happy. Will repeat.

Recent over night stay was great. Room was very big. Beds comfortable and clean. Staff was super nice and accommodating. The building was beautiful. Little odd that it was 2 separate buildings. But gym had enough equipment to get a good workout in. Breakfast is still grab and go style

Great convenient location, clean, staff is wonderful, breakfast is always good. The biscuits and sausage gravy are amazing!
The only major downfall is the strong smell of marijuana, yuck.
Only a few minor things in the room were not up to par. The A/C unit smelled very musty and the filter was dirty (I cleaned it). The wall lamp kept flickering (the bulb was tight), the toilet seat was loose, the fridge was crooked and leaking. The office chair is very old and is torn. The WiFi was choppy. I didn’t want to bother them. I advised the staff during check out. Other than that, it is always a great stay.

This place is a great laid back place to relax and unwind... The location is great... The staff goes above and beyond to assure your stay is everything you expect it to be... Check in is always quick and simple... Chauna the manager is beyond amazing... She's the best... The hot breakfast is great...

I love the historic feel of this property! The room I was in had an actual stone wall. The staff is super friendly, it's located in a convenient area, and the rooms are very quiet. Definitely on my list to revisit!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is clean and has lots of character. It’s like a little castle! It was recommended to me by my brother and I’m glad I took his advice. The front office had some construction going on but that was really a minor thing. I loved the free breakfast and the lady working there was kind, hard working and kept everything clean. The gym is small but had the essentials for a good workout. It is a little hard to see from the road since it’s tucked in the back behind another business but I feel that added privacy. Great value at a great price.

This is an amazing place to stay! Not only does it look really neat inside and out, it was so clean! The lady running the front desk, Shawna, was so sweet she treated us as if we were her own guests and asked us if we would like to see the room before purchasing. I don’t think we have ever experienced that kind of customer service at a hotel. Everyone was so kind and the staff were so nice. It was very clean it’s a 5 star hotel in my book! We know where to stay when in the Richmond area!

Loved this place a lot. I travel for work, I’m in different states all the time. I’ve never written a review for a hotel before.. but I just had to for this one. The staff was amazing. Every single employee was very nice and helpful. The front desk and the cleaning ladies were awesome. Such a great experience. Made being away from home a lot more bearable. Thank you guys so much!!!!

This place is great. It’s clean and quiet. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast options are plentiful. Lionel helped switch us to a room that accommodated all our bike gear. We had to wait about 15 minutes for it to be cleaned (we arrived a bit early). Lionel personally checked the room to make sure everything was completed before we went to the room. Shout out to Lionel for great customer service. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Very pleasant experience here. We booked through Expedia, and for some reason we were unable to get one room with a king bed and one room with two doubles, but we decided that that wasn't a big deal. The rooms were clean and very nice, and the staff was very friendly. Their continental breakfast had a lot to offer -more than some places. There was a very noisy school group in the hallways one of the nights, until 1 a.m. I think it would be nice if the staff would tell people that they needed to go into their rooms, but I don't actually think that that's a common experience. I decided it wasn't a deal breaker because i was a kid once.

Outstanding Stay at this Best Western. The service was top notch and the room was in excellent condition. We were able to use the outdoor pool and work-out facility by simply making a reservations by the hour. Coffee available 24 hours and full microwaveable breakfast offered in the am. Highly recommend to anyone searching for decent hotel accomidations.
