Hampton Inn Richmond-Midlothian Turnpike

I had the pleasure of experiencing exceptional service from Jasmin, the front desk associate at Hampton Inn. I stayed in room 205. Her professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail made my stay truly memorable. She went out of her way multiple times to ensure all my needs were met, from accommodating my requests to providing helpful local recommendations. Jasmin’s dedication to customer satisfaction truly sets Hampton Inn apart. I look forward to returning and experiencing her excellent service again.

Hampton Inn's are always my first choice and this particular one has been a great place to stay at a reasonable price. Could not ask for a better experience. Whoever cooked the eggs for breakfast this morning (4-22-2024) did an excellent job! They were perfect.

The staff were all pleasant and helpful. The rooms are updated and recently remodeled. Gym was good. Pool looked clean and inviting although I did not use it. Breakfast was great.

Our family and pet stayed over the holidays and could not have asked for a better experience. The rooms were clean, location was safe near a Starbucks/Target and the staff was wonderful. Compliments specifically to Darrell who helped us throughout our stay. He was attentive, kind, welcoming etc despite having to work on the holidays. We appreciate you Darrell. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for a week during the December holidays and overall enjoyed my stay. Will definitely return next time I travel to RVA. A few notes:

Pros: Complimentary breakfast with more options than most hotels, clean lobby, renovated rooms, convenient location off of Midlothian Turnpike, updated fitness room, and coin washer/dryer (a little pricy at $5 for wash and dry, but convenient when you’re staying in a hotel for a week). I especially appreciated the assistance of Nelly (front desk) and Maria (kitchen staff) who were kind and helpful throughout the stay.

Cons: Housekeeping could be a bit more consistent - some of the housekeepers were more thorough than others in their cleaning. For example, upon check-in I noticed some areas by the bed and toilet hadn’t been properly vacuumed/swept; took less than 5 mins to take care of myself, but room should have been glanced over before moving to clean the next one. TVs in the rooms have basic cable and aren’t compatible with streaming services, which is outdated in 2023. Building looks kinda old on the outside, and even though the interior is renovated, it does not look as “new” as other Hilton-operated hotels in the same price bracket.

Overall enjoyed my stay, just providing an honest review for anyone planning to stay here in the near future.

Research Road hotel. The hospitality of the manager that evening was great! I had a problem at check-in due to a third-party booking. He was very patient and understanding. The room was nice and clean. The room is dimly lit, which I think is nice. The bathroom mirror has the led lights around it. The products ZERO% are used. Fresh clean linen, like new. The only negative thing I have is that the bed had a dip in the middle (king). I slept comfortably but kept ending up in the middle. A complimentary breakfast was served, turkey sausage, bagels, potatoes, cereal, yogurt, make your own waffles (I did!). There is an indoor pool, however it was closed when I arrived. You can see into the pool room while walking into the main entrance of hotel. The doors lock after a certain hour. Either you use your key card or push the bell to be let in. The area located was a safe place. My stay was great.

Great hotel, Caleb always helps me and my staff. Doubletree down the street has a little more to offer like their bar but we keep coming back because of the customer service.

We’ve stayed at many similar level hotels in the area while visiting family, and this is definitely one of the best! The rooms are updated and very clean. Staff were very friendly and hotel is walking distance to Target, Starbucks, and other restaurants.

I've stayed at this location a few times for work. It's been great and the folks there are amazing.

People were very nice. But our room didn't have enough toilet paper or tissues. And the trash can in the bedroom was VERY small. Other than that everything was great!

Had a wonderful stay. Breakfast was great, my dogs were happy, watched movie every night, front desk staff very helpful especially Nelly. Bed comfy and pillows like sleeping on a cloud! Definitely would go back or use as my go to tournament hotel. Also good location.

My experience here was great...the room was very clean and the TV had a good bit of clear cable channels. Special shout out to the front desk lady clerk name "Nelly". She was very nice and kind..greeted both my children and I with a bright smile..she answered all the questions I asked her with no problem. And shout out to the Breakfast lady cant remember her name but she was very nice and kind as well. The food was great...this will be my Go to Hotel when im in the Midlothian area again...Thanks so much for making my family & I very comfortable....

The staff were friendly. The room was clean. Just about everything I needed was there. The hotel was undergoing renovations during my stay (9/11/21-9/12/21) but nothing too bothersome. I could tell some of the building was getting a little worn down (like the elevator button in the lobby missing a chunk from the frame) but nothing dangerous or that ruined my experience, and I imagine this is part of the ongoing renovations.
The bathroom was modern and very nice, although the handle for the bathroom door wasn't secured properly as the handle could be pulled off the locking mechanism from inside. Everything else was perfect though.
The room itself did seem a bit dated, but nothing jarring. As expected, it was also spotlessly clean so I had no issues with my accommodations. One thing I did find a bit lacking were the outlet locations for the desk, but it didn't bother me.
Overall I would recommend this hotel.

This property exceeded expectations with professional service and a facility that surprised in many ways (filtered water available for water bottles, indoor pool, larger fitness center, large rooms… all well maintained).

Spent one night here while attending conference. Hotel was clean and well maintained, breakfast was good (as usual), Check in and out done on my phone was a a breeze, staff friendly and kept the lobby water and coffee filled. Didn't have time for the pool or fitness center, but both looked clean and maintained. Had some trouble with digital key due to poor cell service (not their fault). Conveniently located to just about anything you might need.

We went from a 2 star hotel that was awful to Hampton. Darius was the man we talked to on phone. Explained a situation we had with health concerns from 1st hotel. He was kind enough to give us a renovated room where there would be clean air and no health problems like the 2 star hotel. Thank you young man for making our stay pleasant and giving us great customer service. We will stay booking with you!

I stayed here for 3 to 4 months for work. I was the Spirtual Refrigeration guy that was always listening to music lol. I loved this place. I loved the staff. Breakfast was amazing and so is the Las who makes it. Treat her well. Rooms 10/10 Thank you -Jp

This place was excellent. Clean well stocked rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, friendly staff, and an exceptional (free) breakfast. I love Hampton Inn and this one didn't disappoint.

The front desk staff was super friendly and courteous. The room was clean. Was surprised to see a refrigerator and microwave. The breakfast spread was really well put together. There was such a wide variety of food to choose from. Really impressed. Thanks for a great stay. Will be back for sure.

Welcoming desk staffers. Every hotel staff I saw made sure I didn't need anything. Hot and fresh breakfast every morning met our expectations.
