Visiting on vacation and needed a $15 Off Road Vehicle permit to operate in Wyoming (you will also need insurance to operate in Wyoming). The gal at Sports Lure knew just what I needed and set me up. She also provided us some info on local trails along with a map of ATV trails in the area. The store is quite a stop. It has everything. I could have spent hours in there. So nice to see a thriving business in a downtown setting which isn't one of the huge mega-chain stores. If in Buffalo, WY, do yourself a favor and stop in at Sports Lure. I guarantee there is SOMETHING in there you're needing for your adventure.

Top notch store! Has everything you could possibly need for your outdoor adventures. Honestly wish this was in my hometown as it had a better selection, better prices, and more knowledgeable staff than my local REI store. For anglers and hunters this place is a must stop before heading up into the mountains.

I shopped here twice on my hunting trip to Buffalo for Mule Deer and Antelope. My sunglasses were scratched up and worn so I got a new pair that was affordable and extremely comfortable. My binoculars got shuffled around and became unusable after my first day of hunting. I bought a new pair that was a great upgrade to my last pair. They had ammo in stock, the staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and there was a ton of equipment or gear available. This place had history and was very unique. I can't wait to visit the store again!

Hands Down the best sporting goods store in the area! From smoking deals on high end ski/board setups to firearms to backpacking/ camping goods, this is the place. Steller knowledge from staff on gear to trails too. Plus it is independent and family owned since the 60’s. Check ‘em out!

This is what a sporting goods store should be. Well stocked with high quality hunting and fishing gear, plus camping, climbing and general outdoor goods at great prices. The staff is friendly and helpful. The old school sporting goods store is alive and well in Buffalo. Highly recommend.

I had a flat on my bicycle. I'm passing thru, and it was fixed within the hour!! Great store to shop in while I waited.

A fantastic store with something for everyone. I rented fishing gear for our group who are visiting Buffalo and the gentlemen who helped me were very nice and informative. I loved the Sports’ Lure merchandise too! Everyone should take a moment to stop in and appreciate a well-run, independently-owned store of the kind that are hard to find on main streets anymore.

Great selection of all different types of outdoor adventures. There prices are what you'd expect from a much larger market. The staff is very helpful and plenty of them to help. Stop by just in case you forgot something.

Excellent staff and impressive selection of backpacking gear for such a small town. I bought a sleeping pad after forgetting mine at home. Also a nice selection of my absolute favorite hiking shoes/boots, Salomon.

The Sports Lure has an amazing selection of goods, backed by application expertise. Luke is the best ski boot & binding expert around.

If it has to do with outdoor activity, this is a one stop shop. Great selection and competitive pricing that compares to major online retailers, such as Amazon. Great for the out of town hunter, hiker, or fisherman that needs gear.

Always walk out with something. Get our fishing license there often. Always friendly people. Quite a large store. On main street which is just a fun place to be in general.

It's extremely rare that I give a 5 star review but after coming to The Sports Lure for 40 yrs now I can attest that Luke and the staff always treat me great and often beat prices big cities such as my Mt bike I saved $150 on plus got and upgrade to disk brakes that Billings, Mt bike shop couldn't beat for less of a bike. have on gear. Of course they can't always beat prices I find but I will pay the extra at times for the service I've gotten through the years and the loyalty even though I haven't lived in Buffalo for 30yrs I still come back often and make the Sports Lure a destination stop while coming through.
