Ironbridge Family Practice

I am new to Virginia and Ironbridge Family Practice. I did have to wait like a month or so to get my 1st appointment. I also read some pretty bad reviews but Nurse Practitioner Gaylen Tassell is absolutely amazing! I have COPD and just had a flair up and even though they didn't have any appts. She did a virtual visit and got me the medicine l needed. So don't be swayed by reviews alone! She is definitely one of the best. She really cares for her patients.

I have been coming here for years! It can be hard to get an appointment as they are very busy. New front desk are great. Melissa Clayton is typically the only person I see here, but have seen some others. I feel like she actually listens to your concerns and takes her time. Very down to earth and personable. Highly recommend her!!

I started coming here a couple years ago and started seeing Julie Goodman. She is one of the nurse practitioners and she is absolutely amazing. She always listens and gives you her full on attention and gives great feedback to help whatever you may be dealing with. She truly does a wonderful job at what she does! Thank you to everyone here for all of their hard work!!

I had the best experience at this practice today. I was a new patient and made a 9:15 appointment. I came prepared and arrived at 8:45 as instructed with all of my paperwork filled out(that I had printed on their website), and I was called back prior to my appointment time! I have always had to wait an hour+ at other locations, so I was pleasantly surprised that I actually got called back BEFORE the appointment time, and it wasn't even a first appointment time-slot. AMAZING! Dr. Risser was awesome and took time to answer my questions. I hate going to the doctor, but I had such a good experience today that I will actually be looking forward to go back when the time comes!

After lots of looking around for a Pcp, I chose this place and have had a few appt, even on short notice I have always been seen , not waited long and never felt rushed when in the exam room. I have seen 2 providers here and was pleased with both of them the same. I am planning on switching my oldest child to this office as well.

I started going here when I was a single guy, and loved it so much that I got the wife to go here so we could both see Melissa Clayton. We even left the area for a couple of years, and when we came back we just had to go back to seeing Melissa again.

I would recommend them for your medical needs.

Megan PA. is great! Very thorough and answered all my questions and addressed my concerns. Will be sticking with her for future appts. Other staff members were also pleasant!

Nurse Practitioners Julie Goodman and Emily Wilson are absolutely amazing. They take the time to listen, are very empathetic, and actually make me care about my health. With covid going on they are still reaching out, checking in, and going above and beyond. Thank you both.

I have been going to Melissa Clayton for several years. Melissa is great! She is professional, experienced and has the care of her patients as her main priority. I would recommend her with high regards!
