Bell Cafe

We went to Bell Cafe for a late brunch/lunch. They’re 4 of us and we ordered a lot! To start the pimento cheese appetizer was very good. The crispy Brussel sprouts didn’t have anything crispy about them and after I left, I realized they were missing the cheese on top although the pic shows one or two pieces.
Entrees ordered included Eggs Benedict that looked amazing, the fried chicken Cobb salad and a Reuben plus a waffle in the side. The waffle wasn’t crispy at all and was remade. I had the salad and it was great.
Overall, I would go back and give it another try. The waitress was friendly and attentive and the serving team all worked together.

Omg...I had the lump crabcake with cheese biscuits and two fried eggs hard with a side of hollandaise sauce and potatoes. Talk about delicious. All the flavors combined are so tasty. Staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu choices.

Great little dine in cafe. The latte flight was awesome! My favorite was the dirty chai. I ordered the chicken biscuit. Whew! Portion was high. It was enough for two meals. The side salad was garden fresh and homemade ranch was top tier!

If you're gonna enjoy a drink during brunch get the flight and share, they make fantastic cocktails. The chicken and waffles are amazing as are the shrimp and grits. Really glad I got to finally get in here and enjoy.

3 of us went for lunch for our 1st time here. It was a beautiful day & a lot of people were enjoying the outside eating area.
Our waitress was very friendly, courteous, and attentive without being overly so. Our drinks were never empty a BIG Plus in my book!!
We all ended up with some type of fried chicken & to say to was delicious is an understatement! It fried to perfection & juicy. The sandwich I had was a "real" chicken breast, tomato, bacon, which was nice & crisp, & 2 types of cheese. Yum!!
We will definitely be back here to try other items.
I also noticed a sign on the table inviting people to Halloween festivities like pumpkin coloring and such on a few different weekends. It is nice to see a local restaurant reaching out to families for easy non-expensvive activities.
This is why I try to eat at locally own places rather than the chains.

Yesterday I woke up with strongest craving for a good breakfast .(I’m pregnant)
My husband and I tried Bell Cafe yesterday morning for breakfast and needless to say it did not disappoint ! I got the classic breakfast with a side of their sausage gravy and my husband got the French toast . It was absolutely amazing! Their breakfast potatoes are soooo good too! The only issue is now that I’ve had their breakfast , the baby only wants to eat there! 😂 I guess it’ll be a weekly go to for us !
I highly recommend coming here and we look forward to trying the other items on the menu.

This place was absolutely incredible. The fact that they pack so much ambience and joy into such a small space. The food was so good and the portions were large. The peach jelly and syrups were so flavorful and paired really nicely with the savory and spicy sides of the menu. The staff was so kind, we had a toddler with us (which I know can be tough for wait staff) and they were all so accommodating and kind to him. Our waitress Carrie was so sweet and funny, another waitress with glasses and lighter hair was also very nice and helpful. The tea flight is absolutely delightful. The menu has a perfect mix of breakfast staples and innovative twists on staples that make it perfect for any breakfast fan! They also have a bounty of flourishing plants that brighten up the place :)

What a hidden gem. We enjoyed our omelets, they were cooked to perfection and tasted great. Topped off with a piece of peanut butter and chocolate pie. Brianna served us and checked on us often she was awesome.

I love this place! The staff is always warm and friendly. They made us non-alcoholic cocktails, which were delicious and refreshing. The food is bountiful, beautiful, and they have a plethora of vegetarian options. Our meals were tasty and we were happy to take leftovers home.

We were on the road and just randomly picked a place to eat... we were so pleasantly surprised to find this place! Our waitress, Irish was wonderful and so sweet and attentive. The rest of the staff stopped and asked how we were and the food was awesome! She even let me try grits, which I've never had and were wonderful! We can't say enough good things about this place! Thank you for the wonderful experience!

The food is fantastic every time! I always get the vegetarian eggs Benedict (I'm not a vegetarian) and it is consistently good. Cute little place, very eclectic decor, and super popular. They do accept reservations although we have never needed to get them.

Bell cafe is always a vibe!! The food is phenomenal!! The best brunch I’ve had in RVA. The chicken and waffles is over the top!! Amazing steak and eggs and the crab cake sandwich!!! You have got to try them out.

We love Bell Cafe and come to eat there whenever we are in the area. This latest time, in addition to our food being, as usual, delicious, our server was Irish, whom we'd give 5 stars for her friendliness, attentiveness, and generally delightful personality. She took good care of us without being intrusive. Happy New Year to her and all the Bell crew.

What a hidden gem! You have to visit this place. I was merely passing through this town and I’m so happy I stopped here. Best dining experience I’ve had in so long! Jared took great care of me and made me the best caramel latte. Made with love! I ordered the shrimp and grits and they were some of the best I’ve ever had. Firm but not overdone shrimp, but that sauce!!! Oh my god. I want that sauce on everything! The food was top notch but the real treat was Jared’s kindness and the kindness from all of the staff, down to the cooks in the back. Go visit this place and you will be transported to a place where people are kind to one another and make you feel happier than a seagull with a French fry! :)

Yesterday, Thanksgiving Day 2023, my family of 8 had our Thanksgiving dinner at the bell. We elected to sit in the patio so we could all sit together at one table. That was a good decision. The overhead heaters kept us nice and warm and we could laugh and have a fun time without disturbing other guests, hopefully. Our service, Jerod, was the best. He was so attentive and friendly , always a big smile . The food was delicious, ham, turkey and all the trimmings. It was a delightful evening and I hope to do it again next Thanksgiving. Thank you so much to all the amazing staff who worked to give us a such wonderful family holiday. .

I was randomly in town visiting family & joined a foodie group to look for a great brunch spot with drinks. This one checked all my boxes so I went here. DELICIOUS!!! I am so happy to find this place, it is near my families home & I WILL be back!!!

I honest to God would've never found this place all on my own, but I'm so glad I've found it. The portions are HUGE and so delicious. I've never seen such a huge biscuit. I'm definitely going to be back.

I ate here for the first time. I enjoyed the avocado toast. Even though it is an appetizer, they provide enough food that it could be a complete meal. The flavor was impeccable. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was beyond amazing. Cant wait to come again and try something new!
