I like the morning kids club staff. I don't usually take my kids in the evening, but they seem to have a good time when I bring them in the morning. I feel like they really make an effort to make the kids comfortable. Kids are such a hard job and I am so appreciative when people take good care of my kids!

My boyfriend is a member so I went as his guest. This gym has state of the art equipment for all your fitness needs. It's very clean and the staff is super friendly.

Seems like a nice place. Clean and large ...thanks to Dijon who helped us...very nice guy.

Always great to visit this gym, love their treadmills up 18% incline, clean facility, sauna is lit!

I've been a member for nearly 2 decades. I love the atmosphere

I started coming here because I wasn't getting results from riding my bicycle anymore. I felt stuck, and I felt like I was wasting time. I started training with Taylor a few months ago, and I'm getting amazing results. Taylor understands my goals and does a great job keeping me on track and always pushes me to go farther then I ever would on my own. Each session is unique, so it stays interesting, and I always feel like I'm learning something new. Taylor is a great motivator and she really cares about my progress, my form, and my safety. She catches my mistakes and corrects them before they become bad habits or wasted energy. I get the most out of the time I spend at amfamfit because of Taylor. Thanks!!! I also appreciate the convenient location, friendly staff, & the always clean and well maintained equipment.

Great gym. More than enough machines, weights etc so that you can usually get on the exact exercise you want (except the bicep curl machines, which are ALWAYS occupied *eye roll* 😅). If the station or equipment you need is occupied there is still almost always going to be something similar to use without feeling like you're compromising your workout. I used to be a member of the Y and this was a huge probelm at that gym. There's already an extremely limited amount of equipment, and inconsiderate members superset and camp. Theres also a huge problem with dropping weights, leaving plates racked, etc. Forget all that, AmFam all day.

Most of the members are nice, you have the usual mix. Staff has been great.

Love this gym. Will goes the extra mile by remembering guests names and checking them in before they can even give a fob. Lisa is a welcoming manager. The lady’s locker room is always clean!

This is one of the most welcoming and inclusive gyms I have ever been involved in. Not only with the employees, although a greeting and small talk with jasper in the morning brightens my day, the members are very friendly. Facility is clean, and their is all types of equipment to work with for all different levels of fitness.

Just got signed up today. The membership guy Tyler was really easy going, explained details well, gave an excellent tour, and was really likable. Top notch customer service. The facility is clean, and has a chill atmosphere.

They feature a juice/shake bar, a nice lobby, every weight setup and machine you can think of, and very clean locker room with sauna. The kid zone is pretty cool, with a full schedule of activities and friendly staff. None of the kids in there looked less than happy, so another plus for the busy parent!

The sign up process is streamlined and easy, featuring mostly a digital format. They have have a discounted military membership, which is nice. Yes, you can use it if retired with the DD Form 2 (Retired ID).

All in all, I’m excited to start working out here, since as a disabled vet I’ve kind of let myself go (by my standards). There are people of all ages, shapes, sizes working out there happily. So no worries if you aren’t a gym rat. The only gym rat types I saw didn’t appear stuck up or self absorbed and were quick to toss a wave or a bro-nod.

The thing I like about the fitness club is that their are six facilities throughout the Richmond area, so depending upon where you are in the greater Richmond area your membership is good. Love the classes and the app to sign up for the classes; step, cycling, aerobics, yoga etc. Plenty of fitness equipment (at all facilities) and if you can't get in shape there, you just didn't try hard enough. Can be pricey but great place to meet others that are fitness enthusiasts. Not a muscle bound, hard-core gym but a place where you can feels comfortable working out.

Great atmosphere and good people. Engaged staff and friendly gym members. Facilities are aleays clean and when equipments break down, they get fixed up within a couple of days to no more than one week.

Very well-distributed newer like equipment, awesome place well-ventilated, sauna and showers plus.

This gym has such a great atmosphere. The front desk staff will greet you when you come in and tell you to enjoy your workout. The locker rooms are very clean and there is always an employee in there cleaning. I like how the women’s sauna is separate from the men’s. The gym isn’t overcrowded, so I can get in and finish my workout without waiting to use equipment. Employees are also always on he floor wiping down equipment and keeping weights organized. Lisa and Aprell are amazing individuals and have wonderful personalities! They were very specific about membership details and fees. I have nothing to complain about!

Just had an extremely positive experience in the Chester facility. The staff was welcoming and the facility was clean and well kept. Tyler, the membership rep was accommodating and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend visiting this location.

This gym is always clean and well maintained, seems brand new. Have every machine I could possibly want and a large, open, weight area. My kids enjoy going to the gym and spending time in the Kid Zone. The Kid Zone staff are the best! Always greet my children by name and take good care.

Dijon was an awesome guide for us as well as one of the managers both of them where so lovely and treat you like family !!! Thank You!!

American family is far and above my favorite gym. Been a member since '04. I've tried a few competitors but it's just not the same. In some environments my intensity is seen as intimidating and they're not appreciative of it in staff or clientele. In others it's just not comfortable with long wait times for gym equipment and a dirty atmosphere. It's got the perfect blend of personal freedom with variety. 10/10.

Best gym in Richmond area. No waiting, plenty of equipment. Six months into membership, still the best!
