Simple little hotel in the center of the city. We stay here every year when we go to the Shakespeare Festival. I love the location because we can walk to local restaurants and walk to our shows. It’s very clean and comfortable. The only critic I give is that the building and air needs to be updated, but it’s an older building and everything works great.

Small note to the hotel owner. Please add a hand towel holder over the sink so we have a place to dry our hands.

We will be back and stay here every year.

What a place. It's right on main and it has comfy simple necessities. I love it here with the great amenities in the apartments of the hot tub and fireplace and the amazing string lights that hang over I enjoy going outside and looking at them every once and awhile. The maintenance has ALWAYS been top of the class and right on it if I needed anything. Very clean and nice location near the University and main street foods and events. Honestly one of the most convenient places to be if you're looking for an awesome cute place. The owners have always been super nice and understanding people. The only down is that they don't have ovens but my little toaster has never caused any mishaps.

I stayed at the Stratford because of its proximity to the USF. The room was spacious, clean, and the mattresses were solid, but soft. They require your key card to access the building, thus providing added security. The traffic noise was slight, but running the fans took care of that. The hallways are wide and I noticed how loud it is when people talk in the hallways and I do hope they re-tar the parking lot someday. I inadvertently left a personal item and they had kept it at the front desk, which I was grateful for. I have always liked this hotel and the remodel has enhanced its appeal.

Nice staff, and a really good location for the Utah Shakespeare festival. We even had a fridge, small freezer, and microwave, none of which we expected. The only negative thing was that our door didn't shut fully when you just let it shut on it's own (you had to give it a good push), and that caused us to leave our hotel room with a slightly open door for several hours without us knowing. We're lucky someone didn't steal any of our stuff--so just make sure to close your doors!

This is the second year in a row I've stayed in this hotel for the Shakespeare Festival and I see no reason to break with the tradition. Nice clean rooms, helpful and friendly staff, good basic self serve breakfast. Can't be beat in proximity to the festival theatres as well as several very good restaurants and a local winery.

Newly remodeled last year and very comfy. I had a power outage and had to rent a room to keep internet connection for work and they got me a quiet room at a great price.
Caring staff for sure. They're locally owned and that just goes with the territory.
Way better than one of those chain motels.

The outside may not look the prettiest but the rooms are very nice and clean. Comfortable beds with strong air conditioning. Entertainment on TV has a lot of variety. Perfect for our overnight stay.

Decent hotel closest to the Shakespeare festival. Nice room. Didn't spend much time in it. I didn't feel to secure about parking my expesive car in parts of the lot as it was very poorly lit in some areas and didn't offer much security.

If you're heading to the Shakespeare Festival, this should be your go-to place. The theaters are only two blocks away along with some of Cedar City's best eateries close by (ie. the Pastry Pub). A very quiet and comfy hotel for a decent price. Wifi is also good!

Awesome staff beginning to end. Nice clean comfortable rooms even though the property is a little older. Breakfast really good but lacking variety. I would stay again.

Cute little Shakespeare themed hotel a short two blocks from the Utah Shakespeare Festival. Flat screen tv, microwave, and compact fridge were in room amenities. Great location in Historic Downtown Cedar City within walking distance to a variety of restaurants, eateries, and a coffee kiosk.

Nice enough rooms for the price, soaking in the hot tub at night was really really nice. Slept in, so no idea about the breakfast.
