Beware the bait and switch.

Went in with a strict budget of under 25k, and were shown a truck and told it would be 23-24k. Perfect! Almost too perfect! (And it was) So we spent a long LONG time checking it over, test driving it, etc. Decided to move forward with possibly taking it home. Lo and behold when we went in to do paperwork the price suddenly jumped up to 33k. But wait! They have a DIFFERENT, OLDER, CRAPPIER truck that's 23k that we should buy instead! But we can't even look at it- because its not even on their lot. They showed us a printed photo of the truck- no thanks.

They intentionally lied to us about the price to hook us, using the price from a different vehicle, then tried to give us a crappier truck we couldn't even look at or test, instead of the one we test drove and spent an hour inspecting.

An absolute waste of our time and theirs.
Deceptive sales tactics.

Payed $857 in taxes to get the vehicle register in my state. Richmond Rocket sends it off through a third party. They send me ANOTHER tag that’s weighted for a truck that doesn’t need it and a receipt of $670 being paid. DMV is looking for ANOTHER $300 because they FAILED to register the vehicle properly and now I have $187 unaccounted for. This will be resolved, and it won’t be just in civil court if it goes that way. Doesn’t help no one will answer or return my calls.

Fair warning for the potential car buyer; Do not expect to find out about a change in the advertised price of their vehicles until you arrive at their dealership.

I am very frustrated and disappointed. After reading good reviews, calling the dealership, and texting and calling the salesman from 10:30am to 5:00pm I had a good feeling and was expecting a great transaction. When I arrived at the dealership after arranging child care and a 40 minute drive I was informed of an error and of a price increase of over $11k. Not once did it come up until I was sitting in the car with the engine running on the lot.

The van I was interested in was listed on the dealership’s website and on Autotrader for $16k for at least 2 days and I was informed at the dealership that they could not sell it for less than $25k, the new price online is over $27k now. KBB had the original listing tagged as a great price, $6k-$8k below the range for this model and trim. I would consider it an aggressive price if the dealership was trying to move inventory and less than a typo level of error, omitting a digit e.g.

The only explanation offered was that the website had changed itself and it was an error. I could Google it and see that it was worth much more. They did offer to sell it to me at the new price...

I encourage you buyer, to ask each time you interact, if the price is still the same amount as it was when you last spoke.
