Thrive Church

First time visiting Thrive. Very warm & welcoming congregation. Guest speaker was cool ( except for the part about dem Georgia Bulldogs) & the message was very relevant. Casual & authentic ! Praise God! Roll Tide!

Modern, Biblically-led, great worship atmosphere, refreshments, secure, wonderful children's zone, community outreach centered!

I first attended this church at the beginning of a series entitled "Ask Questions" 2 weeks ago. I have been in church all my life, and I have never seen a pastor promote the asking of challenging, hard-hitting questions. Actually, some pastors may avoid and shy away from challenging questions. In this day and age, it's nice to see these questions being addressed in knowledge and in LOVE. Not only that, but Pastor Kevin didn't push anyone to believe a certain way on the subjects. He inspired thought and encouraged us all to read the word for ourselves!

Beyond this, all the staff remembered my name when I returned this week. It really proves Thrive is Connected to the Community and their inherent desire to we are all NEEDED and KNOWN!

We love our church! Been attending here about 9 years. Pastor Kevin gives the most amazing sermons! Everyone there is always friendly and genuinely asks and cares about how you are. Kevin, Keith, Brian, Bonnie, and all the volunteers really make sure that everyone is taken care of!

This is a “come as you are” church. I have never felt the need to look a certain way when attending. Members go out of their way to greet people and you are immediately treated like family. The pastor presented a clear and concise Biblical message.

Love, love, love this church! Pastor always amazes me with his knowledge of the Good Book, how he explains things, breaking things down and giving real life applications, and above all, so relatable! He's not afraid to talk about the hard topics or to share his past life, his personal experiences , Christian and non-Christian ones! When you're able to show humanity to people, to let them know you understand their struggles to achieve a Christ-like life (not easy!), at the same time showing them how to make it there without watering down the Word, that's how you get people to Christ!
No goody-to-shoes, hollier-than-thou... A real church, a real pastor doing his best to get you to Christ.
Oh, and no pressure to dress up. Very welcoming people.

Sunday 5/21, my friend and I went to this church for the first time & since we had drill and it was the closest one we found so we decided to give it a try and let me say it was wonderful! Definitely will be coming back when we’re down here for drill. Would love to be able to some down every Sunday but unfortunately I’m not around the chesterfield/Richmond area. Overall great experience as a first timer! Very welcoming!

Thrive church is awesome. From our first visit we knew its where we wanted to be. Friendly people, relevant and scripture based messages. There are excellent kid and youth programs that are bible based, not just baby sitting, though there is a nursery for the very young ones. A great selection of small groups, and special events as well. I especially love the baptism bashes we have! Thrive is making a difference.

I love Thrive Church. My family started going Sept. 2012 and the first service we went to was our decision maker. We felt so welcomed and we really enjoyed the worship experience. Since we've been there we've seen lives be changed and God is doing great things. Our Pastor Kevin Bordeaux shares messages that people can relate to and I have learned a lot. Come Check it out! In the beginning of January I began looking for a new church since moving down this way. I researched & researched until I found a couple that seemed to fit my family. I then started watching online services and began narrowing down my search. I decided about 2 months ago that I would start attending services in person with my family & found that Thrive Church was what we had been looking for the entire time. My family absolutely loves it there. My kids thoroughly enjoy going to Thrive Kids and my husband & I love everything about the service from the music to what the pastor preaches. We are so happy that we made the decision to go back to church & we haven't missed a Sunday yet! I couldn't recommend this church more!

I love Thrive Church! God is moving here in an awesome way and I am excited to be a part of it. Thrive has something for everyone: from welcoming, friendly people, to contemporary and exciting praise and worship, to relevant, Bible-based sermons. They also have great children's and youth ministries as well as wonderful small groups for all ages and walks of life. If you are looking for a church in the Richmond/Chesterfield area you should definitely check it out on Sundays at 10:00 am or Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm. It's a great contemporary Christian church with a non-denominational approach.

My Husband and I started going to Thrive in November. I love it because I love Praising my God so freely. Kevin, the lead pastor, is a great young man God has ordained an awesome young man. The people at Thrive are loving and seeking God's will to how to reach the community. Come and worship God with us and see for yourself how God is moving in this church. There is a place here for you to be serving.

I found this church online before I moved to Virginia from Florida back in 2013. I was welcomed immediately and felt the love of Christ through each and every person I met there. I enjoyed everything from the worship music, to the word being preached, to the midweek bible studies. I have moved back to Florida since than but, I'm so was grateful to have had the chance to worship at Thrive. I recently visited in October and the church has grown so much. Pastor Kevin remembered my name when I walked in the door. It was so nice to know that although they have grown so much he remembered my name. It was a gentle reminder from the Lord that he also knows me by name. Definitely praying for Thrive and will continue to visit anytime I'm in the Chesterfield area.

I thank God for helping us find Thrive church. Our family love everything about the church from worship to the preaching. Our kid love going to the kids church. Thrive church is welcoming and enthusiastic about community help. It has unlimited resources to grow as a Christian.

When my wife and I visited Thrive, we discovered an extremely welcoming church where all of leadership reflects a genuine love for God and a genuine love for people. A church where volunteers go out of their way to help and assist in any way they can. A church where you have the opportunity to join small groups or volunteer for one of the ministry teams if you like. We discovered a church where faith in Christ is being lived out in everything they do from relevant messages on Sunday morning to local and foreign missions. We now call Thrive our church home!

Outstanding! From the first time we walked through the doors at Thrive we felt like part of the family. Pastor Kevin is an awesome man of God and his messages are Biblical, relevant and entertaining. His sense of humor and humility draw you in and he teaches the word in a way I've never experienced. The praise team kicks off the service with current contemporary Christian music that never fails to be moving.

We've only been in the area since September. I'm very impressed with Thrive's commitment to the community, providing an appreciation breakfast to local elementary teachers, school supplies to needy children and a food pantry set to open in March. The people at Thrive live their motto, Love Jesus, Love People, Pass It On! You couldn't ask for a better environment to worship, feel supported and have the opportunity to support others!

Very inviting people. Very comfortable environment. Awesome worship service! Thrive is truly helped my wife and I through some tough times. How does well as we develop some incredible friendships do their small groups. Thrive is one of those churches that you hear about that use hard to find. Doesn't matter who you are or what you believe when you come to thrive you're always welcomed.

Thrive is so welcoming and Christ centered. I love how diverse the church is; young, old, white, black, Hispanic, new believers and long time followers of Christ. My husband and I are once again on fire for the Lord and love attending and meeting new people. Pastor Kevin speaks the Lord's message in a way that I can relate and understand and feel inspired. God is ALIVE @ THRIVE!

Thrive Church is where it's at ! It is a contemporary Christian Church. You feel right at home from the time you step foot through the front door. Pastor Kevin Bordeaux preaches and teaches with passion and it is a relevant word for today. The worship experience is phenomenal. If you are looking for a church where your whole family can be ministered to then please visit Thrive. You will be glad you did.

I have moved around a lot. This means I have visited a lot of churches over the past 7 years of my life. No where has ever made me feel as welcomed or more importantly what I offered was needed for service to a church. It means the world to feel confident in joining a small group and moving forward with making thrive my home church. Great music and message which is of course very important as well!

My husband and I are new to the church and we absolutely love it. The lead pastor Kevin is not afraid to teach the Bible and the hard "real" truths and not just the feel good stuff

We as Christians need to dig deep into the word and truly make a difference for his kingdom...and we cant do that only being weekend Christians and only hear the good parts of the Bible
