I had the best experience! I almost didn’t go reading one review but every one has different experiences clearly. The ladies in the front nice did their jobs well (two from Tennessee s/o) The dentist, she cool and sweet and did a very good deep cleaning my teeth! I went this past Monday and Wednesday. Today is Thursday my teeth are beautiful and my gums are not sore 😁

Family Dental on Southside Richmond is Top Tier..Dr Bowles is excellent, she's great at what she do.. Taylor is so sweet and very gentle with a fun personality..

Nice staff. Great dentist. Highly recommend. I have been so lucky to find Family Dental . I have Medicaid, so I did not expect much when it came to having dentures made. I had to have all my teeth pulled due to a cancer that affected my salivary gland. It dried my teeth out and they were chipping off in pieces. Family Dental has an excellent dentist who does dentures. It is a 10 week process but you end up with quality dentures. There is very little waiting time for your visits. They call you when it is time for your next mold and be seen within a day for your next part of the process. The dentist is very well educated and up-to-date with a specialty in dentures. Highly recommend Family Dental.

Had a tooth extraction today and I must say that the dentist and staff were awesome! Very Professional and everyone were polite and helpful. No pain at all! Look forward to seeing them again🙂

I had my first appointment here today. When I walked in I noticed how gross the carpet was in the waiting room. I was given paperwork by a woman at the front desk. She was very sweet. I also spoke to her at the end when making my next appointment! I went into the back had a bunch of x-rays done by another female. She was very sweet! She kept apologizing since she was having issues with getting the right angle in my mouth. I quickly let her know everyone does because I have a small mouth for an adult! This had always caused issues in the past at every place ever! She was VERY gentle though. Next a male dentist came in to look over my x-rays. I began a very long explanation of my issues going on. The previous dentist in the Westend who has done some questionable things for my mouth work. Having to redo the same teeth 2 to 3 times over. The pain I'm still in. And the fact that it also feels weird in my mouth as well. The Dentist an the nurse or hygienist might be her title...either way both sat there while I rambled on. The dentist started to explain what work needs to be done off of what he sees on the x-rays. He also let me know the two teeth I JUST had root canals on by the last dentist needs to be done again! Which I was supposed ro have crowned by now with the last dentist who has done SO many things wrong I am fresh out of chances! Now I have to go to a specialist for these two teeth which he gave me a referral! I am also having pain in them an I didn't have pain before the last dentist touched them! Anyhow he also explained i didn't need root canals on the 3 other teeth I was told by the last dentist I needed done.....an I have had 3 other root canals done by the last dentist....which now I wonder....did I even need those ones done!!!!!??????...... this dentist was very gentle when going over each tooth in my mouth. As he worded their dentist talk to the nurse to take down in my chart! He had great "bed side manner" an I only wish I had found this place 2 years ago.... it could of saved me from HELL I've gone through thus far! .......

Every one was so nice and didn’t have to wait long at all. It was a clean place and they made me fill very comfortable. I can’t wait to get my teeth and be able to eat again. I want to say THANK YOU.

I’ve been a patient for 2 years my doctor has been more than Good To Me, she goes the extra mile for her clients and if she is not comfortable with something she will definitely let you know! I can’t speak for any other DR’S at the office, my doctor in the front office really care about their patience and for that! I will forever be a patient at

Easy to make appointments, waited no time to be seen, and the dentist was very gentle and highly informative of the whole process. Great dentist office!

Outstanding service friendly staff. I had a zoom interview today, not even an hour from my appointment. My dentist was so professional she answered all of my questions and concerns. She even went as far as giving me an awesome deep clean in a great time frame. Where I was able to successfully attend my interview.

I've been going here for a couple of years now, and I highly recommend this location. They can fit you in very quickly, and I've always received excellent care. I've never had to wait past my appointment time, and usually even get taken care of early! Great dental practice!!

Be prepared to possibly wait a few hours after your appointment time to get in if you catch them on a busy day (they seemed a bit short handed) but I don’t think any practice could’ve done better with wait times being so busy and short staffed so it’s not their fault! I had a tooth extraction and my dr was very nice. I was terrified at first but it was a good experience, pain free and very quick. Would highly recommend.

I had the pleasure of visiting the best dental assistant and dentist ever - Essex and Dr. Patell. It's refreshing to see such caring professionals in the field. As a new patient, they went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and I truly appreciate their hard work. Recently, I visited Sean and Dr. Mohan at Family Dental and they did an excellent job. I'm grateful for their expertise. I must mention that DR Vee and her assistant are amazing too. They were a great help to me. If you're looking for a great dental experience, I highly recommend stopping by and seeing Ellisia and Dr. Vijaya. They are great at what they do and it shows!

The only problem I had was the wait time, everything else was perfect. Everyone was nice and I’ll actually be returning!!!

First visit and I have to say I was impressed! All of the staff are friendly and welcoming. The offices are clean and well appointed and the pace isn't so rapid that I had trouble keeping up. Everything I need was discussed in full and simply so that I could understand and retain. Very surprised when next a appointment was made only a week away vs. months! Will update this as time and appointments go by.

Extraction of 9 teeth at the same time. I didn't feel a thing. After removal of 7 teeth, I asked when she was going to get started. She was already done. Two more were removed, same thing, I felt nothing..

The staff at the front desk were very attentive and friendly. They were nice to me when I came in sleepy and out of it from having just worked a night shift. All of them were smiling :)

The office was so clean, and I love that they allow walk-ins and take Medicaid as well as major insurances. The hygienist was kind, and so was my dentist. Forgive me for not remembering the names! I have been searching for a dentist that I trust and feel comfortable with, and I recommend this practice.

I was spoken to about missing teeth and come to find out, my insurance covers partial dentures! I never even knew such a thing existed. I'm so excited to finally get my oral health taken care of. I was given a root canal referral today at my appointment. The dentist made sure they take my insurance, too! My dentist was also clear that we could not do any work until I get my root canal, and I was understanding about it. She explained what needed to be done very clearly, and I felt no anxiety about my future procedures.
