Delicious!
The side salad was nothing…iceberg lettuce, mozzarella and a couple of small chunks of tomato but I’m glad because the lasagna was wonderful! The pasta tasted like they made it today! My husband had the meat lovers pizza. It’s NY style (thin and not crispy…) he said it had very good flavor. We also got the garlic knots which were yummy but not “knots” at all (not a complaint just an observation!). The sauce with the knots tasted like plain tomato sauce but they didn’t need sauce! We ended up needing boxes because we were both overly stuffed! If we were local we’d have to make this a regular spot.

They did have several gluten free pasta options too!

Best Italian food we’ve ever had!!

I personally had the fettuccine alfredo, which was excellent. My mother had one of the house specialties (began with far-, but did not catch the rest of the name) and LOVED it. Our table also had a BBQ Chicken pizza which my boyfriend stated was by far the best pizza he has ever had (and for what it’s worth, he eats pizza several times a week).

The salads were super fresh and were served with tasty ranch!!

We all shared garlic knots and fried pickles which were both absolutely amazing as well!!

My husband, myself and my daughter, recommend this place 110%. We have been going there since we started dating 3 years ago and I can honestly say....it's well worth the money!! The food has been delicious every single time we have been there. The service is hands down the best! We are always treated like family when we go there. If you haven't tried them out....then you don't know what your missing!

Everything I have ordered from Mama Mia's has always exceeded my expectations. The garlic knots are the BEST I have ever had! The owner genuinely cares about his customers, and quality of food. Staff is always efficient and very friendly. The restaurant is very clean and decor is amazing. Very cozy. I highly recommend!

We have been eating here for over 4 years, and every visit is delicious and the service outstanding. The staff are friendly and helpful, even when the restaurant is busy. Every dish we have tried has tasted great, but our favorites are the pizza, salads, and calzones. The owner, Bassett, always takes time to stop by the table and check in with his guests.
Momma Mia is a family favorite!

We were looking for somewhere to eat with the family and decided to come here due to the reviews. THEY WERE RIGHT! This place was so good with some of the best pizza and garlic knots I’ve ever had. The cheese sticks and salads were also great! We will come back from Knoxville just to eat here again. The owner also came out to thank us for trying them which was a nice touch. Thanks so much!

GO HERE NOW! I have lived here almost 7 years and had no idea this place existed. I am from Boston and a pizza snob. Every single thing about both pizzas we got was perfect! This is some of THE BEST pizza I have ever had in my life. Not greasy. The flavor was immaculate! You ever eat a meal and a million times say THIS IS SOOO GOOOD well this is one of those.

I really loved Mama Mia's amazing service with a very caring and accommodating server helping our large group through the dinner. After a spread of delicious pastas and pizzas, we were treated to a very delightful conversation with the kind owner. I highly recommend treating yourself to Mama Mia's experience of you find yourself in the area!

Stellar pizza, best in abingdon for sure. The garlic knots are so good and the owner is very nice. Lovely family restaurant and definitely a highlight of Abingdon.

I recommend the Mama Mia Pizza, it’s basically a margarita with spinach.

Came here from middle tennessee and gotta say it was well worth the other reviews. We got the fried mushrooms and garlic knots as the appetizer and they were both really good(the breading on the mushrooms was the best I have had in a long time). For the entrees we got a small Mama Mia pizza, regular Stromboli, Mama Mia chicken, lasagna, and chicken farfalla. My favorite was the pizza but everything else was really good would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area.

We stopped here for dinner after a long day of driving. It was exactly the warm hug we needed. The pasta is incredible and the portions are large. We ordered the bread stick appetizer and it was basically a large, thin cheese pizza! It came with dipping sauce and was very yummy. The owner came to greet us and check on our meal. I wish we lived closer so I could try the eggplant parmigiana! If you’re in Abingdon, make sure to stop here!

5 stars across the board for this place! Had the Stromboli and it may have been the best I’ve ever had! Service was fast and very friendly, the atmosphere was homey and comfortable, public parking right across the street, and the prices were very reasonable! I’ll definitely be stopping again if I find myself near that area!

We had a half-cheese half-pepperoni pizza and it was very good. The pizza was light and the perfect amount of greasiness, making it one of my favorite pizza places in Bristol.

I also had a slice of blueberry cheesecake, which was AMAZING!

The staff were also incredibly friendly and welcoming. Overall, my experience at Mamma Mia was very good.

I love this cozy little restaurant. We had the garlic knots with cheese for an appetizer, this is delicious. I followed that with eggplant parmigiana and it was amazing. The salad was fresh and the Italian dressing is exceptional. The service is friendly and efficient and the cozy atmosphere makes for a perfect experience. Abingdon has many excellent restaurants and now I have found another. If you are in the mood for Italian you can not do any better than this.

A very quaint and comfortable restaurant in Abingdon. We stopped for lunch on our way home from West Va. I was so excited when the food arrived that I forgot to take a before pic, but, as you can see, we did a good job on the Stromboli and salad..not to mention the garlic knots with cheese! The customer service was top notch. Looking forward to visiting again!

We went to Mamma Mia’s in the snow for my Husband’s birthday tonight and had the best time & food. The owner and staff made my Husband’s birthday so special! My kids are very picky normally but they loved the pizza and spaghetti. My daughter gave the spaghetti 10 stars! My farfala was delicious! We will definitely be back soon!

I had a "regular size" Stromboli, not only was it enough for 3 meals, but it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. This is the best Pizza, Salad, and other Italian dish restaurants in the entire area. 😋 The garlic knots are a MUST!!!

This place is amazing!!!! Best pizza ever, the owner Is worth eating here all in itself, this guy is great. One of the most enjoyable dining experiences I’ve ever had, our party started off with the garlic knots, wife got the mama Mia pizza, daughter had the cheese pizza and had the lasagna. There was nothing I tasted that could of been any better, absolutely superb! I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants real Italian food and is ready to eat and have a good time. Will be back again and again I promise.

This place is a hiden gem◇ Everything we had was just amazing!!! The owner is extremely friendly and makes absolutely sure you are having a great experience!! Will definitely recommend and will definitely go back♡ My husband ordered the chicken fettuccine alfredo and I'm telling you it is the best chicken fettuccine alfredo of any restaurant we've eat at, it is so creamy and smooth. Then we went to the movies after we ate here and then went back and got pizza, the cheesy garlic knots which was outstanding and some dessert with the word flan in it haha.

I had heard positive things about this restaurant, so I decided to stop by for lunch during the holidays--I was not disappointed! The Chicken Alfredo pizza was some seriously good pizza. The owner and staff were very welcoming. Highly recommend this little gem.
