Very nice market. Clean, good selection and variety. Produce always looks very good. Haven't tried the deli yet, but a deli is usually a deli in a supermarket. Prices are a tad bit higher for my staples, but you're going to pay for convenience and location. Last but not least...Employees are very chill and friendly!

I like this market. It's convenient and never crowded. The community seems to have embraced it. A great personal touch is that the aisles are named for landmarks in the community. There is also a shuttle service! That has been available since Community Pride! Staff is polite, kind, and helpful.

I had a hunger for fried chicken one day, but Krogers stop frying before people get off from work and it's to far to travel from MCV to Ukrops on Patterson and Three chopt. Soooooo, as i was taking the street way home to Varina, I just stop at the Market place to get a frozen dinner (oh! did i mention i WAS hungry!) There was a wonderful sight FRIED CHICKEN AND THEY SELL IT ALSO BY THE PIECES! AND IT'S GOOD! I've been back 4 times, that's right, 4 times buying that chicken for my dinners in a week in a half. Not to mention the ladies that are there who does the serving are so friendly, I was talking to them like i knew them LOL.

My boyfriend lives in the neighborhood, and we decided to walk to the Market to check it out on a Saturday afternoon. The parking lot seemed small, but it was by no means full. The lane at the back of the lot is one-way, and a security guard was out in the lot for drivers who might need help navigating the new space.

The staff was very friendly. We were greeted at the door by a woman handing out free fresh fruit to folks as they left as a neighborly promotion. The women at the customer service counter were kind and informative when we inquired about the frequent shoppers card. (Cards will be available in a few weeks, and all sales are currently available without a card.)

The grocery selection is comparable to Kroger. Three different brands of cornstarch- that sort of thing. The fresh seafood department looked very nice. And they have fresh sushi. Prices also seemed comparable to Kroger, though my boyfriend did note that their Amy's frozen meals were almost twice as expensive as what he pays for them at Kroger.

Gorgeous, beautiful, inspiring!
The Market @25th has a unique design concept that draws you in, helps you learn a piece of the history of the Church Hill area, and caters to the needs of all palates, delicate or wild. The Market also boasts of a pharmacy on the premises.
Overall, a feel good, homey experience.

Mom purchased all her porks for seasoning her greens and other stuff to carry back to NY. Will return on our next trip to Richmond. I did purchase a pack of these sausages that my nieces boyfriend shatef with me they are do good hving one right now

Love this grocery store. Friendly associates. Love Ms. Mary and Mr. Ed
And if you have EBT it's 1/2 off of fresh produce. Meats are very nice and have a good price on sale and off sale.

Stopped in to get some chicken salad and some fruit for my lunch. They had some cinnamon raisin bread and honey peanut butter so I got that. Prices reasonable.

Everything was easy to find, staff were cheerful. Produce and shelves were well stocked, meat section was full and stocked well with good quality meats. Cashiers were friendly and very patient with the older people, very helpful. Van driver was very courteous and friendly, drives safely always.

I visited the store after waiting for the opening crowds to die down. It was a wonderful experience. We got food from the deli (Mama J's) and even though it was a bit cold when we ate ( nothing on them, we wandered around after getting food) it was delicious. I had to debate with myself over the plump looking crab legs, but I decided those did not fit into my budget this week, but I'll be back for those. The meats looked excellent. I picked up a container of prepared tropical fruit in produce that looked really good, but I haven't eaten yet. I can see this being a wonderful addition for my grocery shopping although Farm Fresh is much closer. I had no issues with pricing. It seemed very middle of the road for me, because I shop everywhere and being budget conscious, I memorize prices for various stores. Some prices were higher and some lower. I did forget to check out dairy prices because I didn't need anything from there.

Everyone that worked there was very polite and helpful, even when I heard a customer upset. And the deli people were especially accommodating to my sister, who can be exacting at times.

OK. I'm amending this review because I clearly went on a bad day. The first day to be exact...when few businesses, if any, are completely ready to go. The parking lot was a nightmare at first, but today, even during rush hour, it's much, much easier to get into. It's not a well-designed parking lot to be sure, but that should not deter you at all from coming to this store. The staff is friendly and eager to help. Smiles are everywhere and that says something very positive about this store. Prices are far better than many local outlets like Kroger or even Food Lion. And an excellent variety to choose from. Yes, they even had corn starch this time! Admittedly I was unimpressed at first, but given the size, cleanliness and service of the store, this is now EXACTLY what the residents of Church Hill have been waiting for. No need to go to Farm Fresh, people. I'm glad I came back and I will return often. By the way, the phone works...!

The store looks great! This store replaces the need for me to ever go to Farm Fresh again.

Options are fantastic for the footprint. They have a great vegan case near the back that really fills my heart with joy.

Prices are noticeably low. Staff is noticeably polite! Parking is not ideal but that's okay. Neither is Ellwood's.
