THE STAR STORE

I love this market as they have a great variety of items and a nice wine selection! Lots of natural products as well which is what I prefer to purchase.

Good little community grocery and general store. We like to ride our bikes into town and grab some snacks here before heading down to Seawall Park for a little break when the weather is nice.

It's also good for picking up a few things in between larger grocery trips on-island. They carry Sea Biscuit breads, Oatley, Effie's Oat Cakes, and some other specialty items we love that aren't available at the Red Apple. Their produce selection is pretty good and the deli case usually has some great salads (love the tuna pasta salad), and fried chicken (juicy and delicious in our experience) as well.

We don't have much personal need for the clothing/general store side, but it's nice that it's there and some of our visiting family members have found souvenir items to take home. We're happy to have this resource in our little downtown area!

This is one of my go to store for gifts and for treating myself, and I live a ferry ride away. Beautiful, inexpensive jewelry, cute hats and gloves, kitchen items, tons of clothing, nic-nacs and decorations...its electric and tasteful with quality products. I always make a bee-line to the Star Store whenever I come to Langley. Great little grocery attached (albeit expensive) with lots of international items as well. Such a great little town to meander through and enjoy the cafe and restaurant scene and gorgeous views of the sound. Watch for whales! And Bunnies! Fluffy bunnies of all colors abound throughout town.

Quintessential store on whidbey island, and a must stop. This shop has a little of everything and its all good. From gifts , to food, to local cider and drinks.

This was one of my favorite stores of the day. Groceries on one side (found some really yummy ginger crisps/cookies). The other side has gifts, clothes, etc. Upstairs had children’s clothes, adult shoes, fun games and toys. I received help from three different people and they were all kind and friendly. Will definitely find a way to return another time.

Adorable grocery and mercantile store. Amazed at the both the local choices and the incredible variety. The prices were reasonable but the experience was priceless.

I love this store, It's been a landmark on the island for many years. If I am looking for something specific to wear this is were I go, the only issue is I tend to walk out with way more clothing then expected. I come in enough that the staff recognizes me and there always a joy to visit with. Yes they have groceries as well and the deli chicken is excellent. They have a huge variety in there liquor part of the store you can't go wrong here.
I read in a review that they follow you, this is true but not for the reason that the poster mentioned it is because of there customer service always wanting to help etc.
I don't feel as if there over priced in regards to there clothing, the quality is really nice.

Something for everyone here in a range of prices. Extensive kitchen gadget, dishware and linens selection, men and women's clothing. Well stocked grocery and deli, excellent wine and liquor department as well. Worth a stop every visit to Langley. Nice people, too.

Great small town grocery, slightly expensive but very understandable prices considering they're on an island! Wonderful customer service and selection of all your basics and then some- groceries, grab and go foods, clothes, shoes, both non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, liquor, and an excellent assortment of gifts. If you're visiting Langley, stop in and support a long-time local business!

There is something for everyone in here! I could of spent more time here. The staff are great! There are two sides to this store, one is female one is men's if you are a female don't forget to look on the other side for yourself, they have other cute items that will look good on you too. Also upstairs is kids clothing and toys as well as a small discount section. Must see.

General mercantile store in downtown Langley with grocery, deli, clothing, home decor and souvenirs for sale.

Good stop for stocking up on provisions if you are in Langley. A little cramped because of the variety of merchandise in a small location but still interesting to visit and browse around.

The deli is great to order from for a picnic by the beach (picnic tables are available by the breakwater). Prices are higher than regular stores in the mainland as expected.

Amazing store in the heart of Langley! Best selection of wine on the island. One stop shop for everything! Thank you to Donna and Margaret today who were super patient helping my mom pick out gifts today. Perfect place to shop local, their selection and service is what sets them apart!

A rather small store, but if they don't have the item you thought you wanted, they will likely have something you like better. ;<)
We buy dinner at their deli at least once every trip to Langley.

Update 6 months later:
Hope we just hit them at a bad time (4:45, Friday, 09/24 ??). Deli take-out case had almost nothing in it, and the few items there did not look remotely appetizing to us. Very disappointing, as we were looking forward to the usual assortment of tasty items.
Again, hoping this was an anomaly, as we've loved this store in the past.
Won't down grade stars unless today's experience repeats.

I recommend this store to anyone I hear is going near Langley. It's a great place for supplies, groceries and gifts. They carry a lot of the local distillery and brewery products, and have some yummy deli options. The staff is really helpful. I was looking for travel games and the clerk found me several to choose from.

My wife and I have fallen in love with Langley over the last few years and the Star Store is one of our must stop places in town. We have bought clothing for a wedding there, a small dutch over to make dessert while we were camping on the island and some delicious deli foods for picnics.

They have a great mix of everything you might need and then some. Super friendly employees who are always ready to help you find whatever you need! We will be back again and again.

Typically I am not one to leave reviews, but my experience with The Star Store was above and beyond great customer service. I was in search of a particular item and in a specific color to replace a gift given to my best friend, whose place had been recently broken into. As it was a few years back, I wasn’t even sure they would still carry this item. I reached out to the Star Store via email and Tamar knew exactly what I was looking for, even though I wasn’t great at describing it. She went out of her way to provide photos to help confirm to me that I had indeed found the exact replacement. Between her and Janet, they helped make my best friends day! I couldn’t have done so without the great customer service from the Star Store. They never once acted like I was pestering them and was only ever helpful in making sure I found the exact item. A Big THANKS! to Tamar for being so awesome and to Janet for helping make the transaction smooth, especially during this pandemic and to the whole Team at the Star Store for making my day as well! 😁⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐😁

if you are looking for some convenient take home groceries in the area, this is the place. Nice little store with a lot of choices, including healthy ones. Prices are about the same I am used to. Charming, friendly place

The Star Store has everything! I bought my favorite hat there. I get all my greeting cards, wine, seafood, bread and coffee. They have a wonderful children's section, great gifts and plenty of parking.
