I rented passenger cars three times during the last six weeks. Pricing was very competitive. All optional costs were clearly explained. Pick up and drop off with airport shuttle service was terrific; fast and efficient. Vehicles were either brand new or very low mileage. Will definitely rent again if in the Miami area.

It’s a bit of a inconvenience to go outside of airport to get the car in general but their rate was unbeatable.
Others had the same car for like $700+ for 4 daya which is extremely high and i rented mine here for around $300
Car itself was very clean and almost brand new almost 12k miles only.
I got a car in about 5 minutes after i came to the office so that’s very good that you don’t have to wait 40 minutes to get about your trip.
I did rent with them before in different city and that experience was also good so i would recommend them for sure and i’m a very frequent traveler that gets car everytime and drives a lot.

Shuttle picked us up from the airport. Paperwork was done quickly. Very friendly and helpful staff. We got a lot of car at a very good price. Highly recommend.

I had such a great and pleasant time with this company process. My plane flight was not great, but definitely this rental service changed my mood for the better. Special shout-out to Daniel, he gave me an outstanding service, very professional and answered all my questions. He also gave me recommendations on the best places and restaurants in Miami. I would rent here on every trip on Miami, and I wish they were all over the country.

Our Jeep was exactly what we wanted. It was clean and very affordable, picking up and returning the vehicle was effortless and quick, very courteous and professional as well. Will definitely book with NU Car Rental again in the future!

Every time I go to Miami, they cover all my needs. Most big names have hidden fees. I rather see what I am gonna be charge upfront and see if I can save a little bit. My advise, be nice to the workers and they will help you understand the benefit of using a local vendor.

This was the worst car rental the sun pass was over price at $25 dollars per day i will never rent from them again. To top it off we are seeing that they took out a transaction twice from our credit card.

NU car rentals was absolutely great. Shuttle from airport was waiting for us. Getting our rental was trouble free and they were very helpful with everything. Returning the vehicle was just as easy. I will definitely use them again. You can find your declaration page on your insurance website to satisfy the insurance coverage (assuming you have rental coverage). Also, if you have EZPASS bring it with you. It is accepted in Florida OR you can go to your EZPASS account and add the license of your rental to avoid paying the daily rate for tolls. I rented from Miami and the link provided by NU clearly indicated where to find the shuttle.

This is my second review for NU car rentals Miami because this (2022) is the second time I rented with them. First time was excellent, and second too.
The prices to rent a car with NU are much more convenient than any other agency. The cars are clean, work perfectly fine. I’m NOT surprise to see so many bad reviews because after reading them I see people are not aware that yes, there are regular extra fees.
One “fee” is for insurance. And that is mandatory. No one can drive a car with out insurance nowhere. But if YOUR car insurance covers also rental cars you can use your car insurance and avoid paying for their insurance. Just ask , before booking, if you can use your own insurance , or even better, ask your own insurance if they cover rental cars. If you do not have insurance or it does not cover rentals, yeah, you’ll have to pay the one that they offer, that is not included in the rental price.
Second fee is tools, and this is not their fault. Most Tools in Florida can’t be paid by card nor by cash. It’s automatically charged to the car by plate. This agency just ask you to pay the tools in advance , or to pay a deposit and from there tools will be charge to your credit card. This because you will not be able to pay them at the site so the tool System will charge them.
Third is a deposit, and this will go back you your account t once you bring the car Back.
If you understand this, you’ll be perfectly fine. These are not “hidden fees” these are not scams. This is how all car rentals work.
And, to finish my review. All the clerks/front desk/employed are gentle, are nice and are kind. Including the men that give you/receive the car.
Most of the bad /one star reviews are because of “fees”, and is not how it is. Some other reviews mention some car issues but this never happened to le.

Great deals on rentals.can’t beat their prices.
Highly recommend them, just bring insurance information with you so you don’t have to but their insurance

Wow an honest rental company what a rare find,my car at NU was excellent clean well kept and at a reasonable price.

I have been travelling to my second home in Souther Flordia for many years and generally most of the rental car firms have loads of hidden cost.

Not at NU Fort Lauderdale omg straight to to point with the truth and very reasonable prices.

Quick service and nice staff. The car was as advertised , clean and ready to go. No hidden fees, all charges upfront. Uses edge technology for the car inspection and history. Affordable prices! If you register and pay in advance no need to queue at all. I would definitely rent here again

Renting a car is so stressful. I normally do not leave reviews BUT I just rented from this company! I just had a pleasant experience. From the moment I stepped out of the airport and in to the shuttle to go rent my car, to the moment I left the car rental. The shuttle guy was so nice, people there are so welcoming, humble and understood my situation. The agent that helped me out (valeria) was so agreeable and cheerful. I was in and out in less than 20 min. Made my stay in Miami less nerve-racking than the usual places I go to ! Recommend 100%

Just rented from them a week ago and all I can say is it was an amazing service, highly recommended.

Prices are really cheap compared to big car rentals and service was great, the guys at the counter were super helpful, explained everything in detail.

Definitely will rent with them again on my next trip to miami, the car was brand new and my security deposit was returned in full in a couple of days

I had a very good experience with NU. The staff is friendly and professional. They offer pick up and drop off from the airport to their rental site, which is not far from the airport

Edgar and Sarah were great all the way from picking us up from the airport until we got in the car. The whole rental process was crystal clear and transparent, no weird fees/charges and in & out in no time! Car was clean and fully gassed up!

First of all let me just say I’ve read some of these reviews and had some great laughs. I don’t know where these people come up with this stuff. But I had an amazing experience, I can’t remember the ladies name who helped which I feel terrible about but she was so knowledgeable and direct about there polices. Which made me grow confidence that I was renting with the right company, their prices were lower than any of the other big name companies and for the same car they were offering! Great customer service! I left so happy knowing I saved some extra money to enjoy at the parks! Thank you Horspower Car Rental!!
