Dahlonega General Store

Walked around the little town and stopped at the general store, super cute, they have all sorts of everything from salt water taffy to stickers, wine glasses and wall decor. Stop by, enjoy and buy something. Lol

I always visit this place when I'm in town! Love the varity and hospitality. We were there New Years Eve.

A quaint little general store in the town’s square. It offers an assortment of gem stones, old fashioned soaps, trinkets, old fashioned candies and delights, amongst a vast amount of other stuff. It is crowed in there from the amount of stuff crammed in there, so I can only imagine what’s it’s like in peak tourism season. Still, I would recommend checking it out if you have time. I did see the 5 cent coffee but it was too late in the day for me to try a cup

The Dahlonega General Store is a charming throwback to bygone eras and simpler times. This place is oozing with nostalgia! They have all your grandmother's childhood favorites...candies, toys, and other novelties. They offer a 5 cent cup of coffee, on the honor system...just precious. They have tons of metal signs, little ceramic animals, carved walking sticks, knives, rocks and gemstones, souvenirs from the area, as well as local food products and specialty sodas.

They have quite a collection of vintage machines that still work, such as the Fortune Teller, Wizard, Uncle Sam, Love Meter...I couldn't resist trying out a few of these...so fun! Our daughter was impressed by the barrels of marbles they have that you can buy by the cupful.

There's also a cool retro cigarette vending machine and roasted peanuts for $1.99 a bag. The staff was friendly and helpful. I only wish the store stayed open later than 6:00 pm, especially during the summer. Other than that, I have no complaints...fun place for all ages!

This place has something for everyone, of every age. The older folks will love stepping back to their childhood with all of the retro eats and treats in here. Plenty of new things to see and explore and you may even find a new treat. Makes for a great gift ideas.

Take a step back in time when you enter this store. I love the decor. There were lots of retro items and newer items to choose from along with gag gifts. Something for everyone.

The Dalonega General Store is a "must-visit" for any visitor and a tradition for many families and people. Full of vintage antiques ranging from a working player piano to a vintage cigarette machine, one can find rare oddities, vintage brand snacks, locally made goods, and specialty craft sodas along with all kinds of kitsch, souvenirs, artwork, and about 1,000 other things. I know when we go my family INSISTS on visiting it - and it's always a fun place to look around, and get that craft soda you just can't find anywhere else.

Are very interesting store with so many unique things to see and purchase. This is the place to get all the little gifts and soveriers you want to take back home. They also have plenty of home decor items as well. They still have a 5 cent coffee. This is a must see place while visiting Dahlonega. There is no other place like Dahlonega General Store.

We enjoyed browsing around this quaint, authentic store over the Christmas holidays (2022). I believe there is something for everyone here. I enjoyed the warm and cozy environment it offered while we shopped.

A "must" whenever we are in Dahlonega! Can spend an hour just browsing ALL the cool stuff they carry from Kazoos to high-end hiking/camping gear & everything in-between!

I love this store! They have a little bit of everything. I like to put a quarter in the player piano for a beautiful song.

I ordered sweet fired pickles from here to Tampa unfortunately, some jars were broken. Jay fixed it without question. I have been shopping here for over 20 years and will continue to do so! Thank you for always being the best store EVER!

Very fun to visit, and walk the square,,lot going on in this town.

We absolutely loved Dahlonega and everything and everybody who lives there. It is filled with Rolling Hills simple but small town flavor. Had the grandchildren went to the gold mine which was fabulous had a beautiful ring set for my granddaughter. Went to the little stores had dinner in a seafood Little White House. We could live there. I may have one of the best colleges.

Cool selection of things. Old school things. Jellies, honey, Knick knacks, shirts, hats, roasted peanuts, rocks.

So many cool things to see, weird sodas and candy to try, PLUS their rock collection rivals that of a New Age Witch™ that thinks buying Crystal's is a way to get around the tough stuff like self awareness, inner child healing, and shadow work.. Make sure you're prepared to pay because prices are going up like everywhere else.. but what do you expect for a kitschy little tourist town?

Totally worth a visit if you're in town!

You have to play the piano for 25c. The candy is expensive but the vintage drinks the kids loved.
