let me tell you about this gem I stumbled upon during a family shindig in D.C. Yasaman Bakery is THE spot for all things sweet!

I walked in and was hit with the most amazing smell of freshly baked goodies. It was like stepping into dessert heaven. The hardest part was choosing what to get because everything looked so good.

Ended up buying a bunch of treats to bring back home with me, and let me tell you, they were a hit with the fam. The melt-in-your-mouth pastries are to die for, every bite was like a flavor explosion.

The person helping me there was super friendly and helpful and made me feel like a regular even though I was just passing through.

Definitely do yourself a favor and swing by Yasaman Bakery If you're ever in the area. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you for it! My only regret is not buying more to bring back, can't wait for my next trip out there probably go there right from the airport, LOL.

They have the best cookies and cakes, specially when you get them fresh. We order the cake for all our special occasions from Yasaman bakery and have never been disappointed and for lots of CC compliments for 5he walnuts/banana cake. Sometimes they do some extra decorations and put on a flower which makes it even nicer.

The cakes are delicious & the raisin cookies are a must try. My family and I have been enjoying their cakes for 10 plus years! The owners are very nice!

We were in the Rockville area and looking for quite a few Baklavas to purchase. We found Yasaman Bakery, a Persian bakery on Rockville Pike (on a strip mall), and that was our lucky day!

As you can see from my photos, they have all kinds of gorgeous and delicious-looking cakes, Middle Eastern Treats, and even Saffron Ice Cream, in addition to various types of Baklavas. They make everything here, and our Backlavas were amazing!

Hello! 2 days ago my grandfather (Dr. Jay) brought a variety box of sweets and jalebi. The jalebi and variety box were both very fresh and incredibly delicious, my family loved everything so much! 10/10 recommend coming there! Bye.

Great traditional pastries like assorted types of rollette, fruit jellies, walnut cookies, raisin cookies, honey-infused baklava, and lots of dried nuts. Simple but sufficient in every way, and coffee on the house was a nice treat for our ample purchase!

Support your local small businesses.Edited The review is 4 year old and just always have to stop in when I'm in town and very surprised to see bad reviews, all I can say since being in business since 1984 and to have a few disappointing reviews will happen regardless and those reviews don't reflect the good quality of the food wonderful baked goods. We are humans and are never perfect and often sometimes that person behind that counter can be going through some tough times as we get older and we lose some of our loved ones. I just referred some friends to this wonderful business and have always been satisfied with everything I've purchased from this wonderful family.

My parents have bought cakes from this bakery since the early 90s, now I’m in my 30s and we still buy cakes from here for our family birthdays. Love how they have remained the same for decades, these cakes are honestly the best. The frosting is a soft whipped cream, the filling is just as delicious. The bread is perfectly moist. Always have fresh fruit.

We love that these cakes are always just the perfect amount of sweet. Will continue being a customer for as long as they are here! Trust me on this one, we have been customers for about 3 decades

For a group, ordered one of the cookie assortment trays, baklava, and a bunch of other treats from inside the fridge display. All of it was about gone within 24 hours. A big hit! Thank you!

May God bless the owners they have been making the best Iranian delicacies for decades now my family and I have been enjoying their fruit cakes and pastries on all occasions(really since I was a small baby). No one anywhere in the states makes such delicious cakes as theirs. I craved these cakes years ago in California and had to return to the DMV only to taste again with love.

The best zulbia I have had outside Iran. Their naan gerdooei and baklava was very tasty too. The owner was generous and hosted us graciously. Thank you from South Africa 🇿🇦

My entire family and I have been a client of Yasaman bakery since i was in high school. To-date, it has been my favorite spot to buy frozen pastry including the most amazing Persian ice cream and Paloodeh. I move to Miami but every time I come to DC to visit my parents, visiting Yasaman Bakery. is always on my number one list to do. Absolutely Love their pastries. Their customer service attitude sets the bar real high and It’s just a friendly environment which makes you feel at home. Highly recommend this sweet shop to fellow middle easterners and anyone who hasn’t tried it. Warning: highly addictive ❤💯🙏

I live in Wisconsin and so I don't have easy access to Persian bakery. I carried a box of cookies on my flight home and the cookies made it the whole way wihout falling apart into pieces. Taste was great. Not too sweet. Very fresh. Overall, I recommend this bakery.

Yasaman bakery is my absolute favorite every time I’m in town! I am obsessed with the Persian Ice cream, it’s freshly made. Every time I go I bring back a few containers of cookies back to Miami. Wish I had one here! Very sweet family owned bakery.
