​Gourmet Bazaar, Kabob & Deli

Lived in Rockville for 3y now. I am now ashamed to say that I have not been here before. We ordered take out at the counter - one gyro and one platter. For under $30 we had the cleanest flavored Mediterranean/Persian cuisine I have ever had. The packaging was spot on- think opening well-wrapped gifts. At a time when places are lowering their quality standards, this place has impeccable standards, customer service, and value. I’ll def be using them to cater my work events.

Its a 5 stars Persian market in the area by far! Staff are so friendly, polite and kind. The prices are good. They bake fresh bread (taftoon) in house. Hopefully they start their Barbary as well! Love the new place. Their carry out food is also very delicious, fancy, clean and worth 5 stars!

Gourmet Bazar is one of the finest Persian stores in the DMV area that I have ever visited. The store is impeccably organized and clean, with a fresh produce section that offers reasonably priced vegetables. The condiment section is also excellent, with a wide variety of Persian spices available.

If you're looking for a Persian market to find something special from Iran, Gourmet Bazar is the place to be. They offer an extensive range of products that words cannot describe.

Their fresh Persian food section is particularly noteworthy, with a wide selection of Persian kababs, kookoos, and Ash reshte. I tried their Bandari sandwich to gauge their quality and taste, and it was absolutely delicious! I intend to explore other items from their menu.

Most of their products are priced reasonably when compared to other Persian stores. The only thing missing from their shelves is Minu Pofak! 🥲

This is so far the best Persian/middle eastern grocery store. You can find anything you want including traditional breads. They have also a rich menu of Persian food for catering/pick up coming in a nice packaging. The portion and prices of their foods are very fair. I think the grocery items are also cheaper than other similar stores in the area. I hope they keep up good work and high quality. The parking is also very easy but I do not think it is Wheelchair accessible. Highly recommended!

We are living 45 minutes away from there, though we are purchasing a lot of good quality stuff from this grocery every month. I have ever seen some bread and persian goods we buy in this shop.
Before I forget, their foods are delicious and awesome.

This sois Bandari sub is by far the best sub I’ve ever had in my life . This place is so clean and organized . Visit and try you won’t be disappointed.

If you are looking for mediterranean grocerys or good Persian food this is the place to go. The kabobs are the best in town. I do a lot of Lebanese cooking and this is my one stop shop for everything I need. I'm so glad I found this store. I won't go anywhere else.

Update: they have moved to a nicer shop and added a kitchen with lota of Persian dishes.

They have almost everything you might need from Iran. The guy by the counter was such a friendly guy, and the bastani was very good to our surprise!

This store is wonderful. Everything is delicious and the selection of groceries is magnificent. The food that is available for carry out is excellent and packaged beautifully to take home safely and without a mess. Very happy to shop and eat Gourmet Bazaar!

I can say one of the greatest benefits of living in Maryland is that you can go to gourmet bazar , buying everything you need from ethnic foods and beyond, plus enjoying delicious foods which is like homemade! What else I can expect?! Thank you

Variety and selection of goods was extensive and pricing fair. The prepared food looked amazing and I'll have to try that next time.

This place is amazing! We discovered this by accident one Saturday. As well as being a great little supermarket with loads of interesting Persian/Middle Eastern foods, they have a deli counter with delicious rice and stew dishes for take out. We had lamb shank with Bagheli Polo (rice with dill, saffron and fava beans). It came with a little cucumber salad and the most delicious yoghurt I’ve ever had. Plenty for both me and my wife and leftovers, all for 23$. We will definitely be back for more!
(PS it would be nice if there was a table or two to sit at to eat food from the counter)
