The Rusty Pig BBQ

We honestly haven't been to RP in yrs but decided to go for late lunch since our son gave us a gift card. The restaurant was neat and clean. You go up to the counter to order and pay, then they bring it to you. The 1st thing I noticed was fried mushrooms as an appetizer, so I immediately ordered those. Not being a big fan of BBQ pork, I ordered a small sandwich. It came with no sides, which was fine for me. My husband got a huge pork plate with sides. Items were reasonably priced. The mushrooms and sauce hit the spot, they were excellent, and leftovers went in the air fryer the next day. My sandwich really was good. I tried a couple of their homemade sauces, and they were very good. My husband's plate was great as well. Now that we've been reintroduced to RP we'll be going more often.

Excellent food, friendly people and fantastic sauces to spice up your meal. Plenty of parking and quick service.

I had the 1/2 pound pulled pork plate with fried okra and the mashed potatoes. It was very, very good. The mashed potatoes were the best I've ever had. Definitely get those when you go. The fried okra was nice and crispy. I liked the variety of BBQ sauce as well. The different flavored sweet tea selection was excellent. The price was very reasonable too. I wish I had known about this place a long time ago. I'll definitely go back.

I’ve had a lot of onion rings and wow these were maybe the best I can remember.
I blanked and didn’t take a picture of the amazing onions.

Pickles were pretty good too could have been a little more crispy, but still good. Really good house-made ranch.

Great food. The ribs was very tender. The staff was friendly and quick. The music was playing but not so loud that you couldn't carry on a conversation. Great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Had lunch here Saturday 11/18/23 and it was our first visit. Very friendly service. Food was a little slower than expected to come out because they weren't very busy, but it was well worth the wait. The 1/2 smoked chicken was the BEST I've had, anywhere. White meat was moist, dark meat wasn't overdone, and the smoke flavor was perfect! The sides we tried were cole slaw, fries, mac and cheese, and green beans. They were all fantastic. Next time I'm up in Rincon I will be stopping in again. Only wish they had a location in Savannah.

Quality, value, and Service are spot on. Loved the Brunswick Stew! All of their homemade sauces are money (I mixed the Habanero Red and Bees Knees).
The only thing I would ask ownership to adjust:
I asked to leave a tip on my receipt, but was told they were not allowed, and if cash tips were forced upon them, management would collect and use it for donoughts for staff.
Please allow your hardworking staff to accept tips to share amongst themselves.
It's a great bonus for them and a nice way for your customers to express our appreciation for such wonderful and friendly service. :)

I have eaten here several times and it has never disappointed. The Tachos are amazing. This is the best way to eat tater tot’s! Also, there is an item that used to be on the menu that was recently brought back for a limited time called piggy cheese. It’s AMAZING!! The piggy cheese comes with a salad as well. I got green beans in place of the salad. Thry also have wonderful sweet tea and even have peach tea and blueberry hibiscus tea. The place is always clean and the service is always wonderful.
The sauces they have in house are amazing too and can be purchased to take home. We come to the rusty pig at least once every couple weeks if not more.

The ribs were fabulous! Highly recommend. I preferred them with no sauce. The pulled pork was good. The sides were hit and miss. The coleslaw was delicious. The Mac n cheese, green beans and fried okra were not that great. The blueberry cobbler was also delicious! The service was great. Would definitely go back.

The restaurant was very clean and adequate space between tables. The pulled pork was tender and juicy. I added the honey bbq sauce. It had a sweet flavor but not excessive. There was a hint of spiciness to make the taste of the pork delicious. The green beans were firm but not hard. They had a good taste and texture. The Brunswick Stew was loaded with different tastes and textures. One of my favorite places to get Brunswick Stew. All of the employees were friendly and helpful. Great place to have lunch.

We had a sort of family reunion there. The staff was so friendly and kind, and allowed us to stay as long as we liked. Very clean, friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend 👌 👍 👏

This was the best smoked chicken my husband and I have ever had and I mean EVER! The Bees Knees BBQ sauce was fantastic!! We will be back!!

The food is so good. It never disappoints. The staff are so friendly and the restaurant is always clean.

Took my grandson for lunch. The parking lot was packed but I was able to find a spot without issue. We approached the counter to order before seating. There was a short wait but we were greeted by a friendly, smiling employee who took our order quickly and provided us with a number for our order.
We got our drinks and chose a table to wait for our food.
We were not disappointed when we got our food after a short wait. Food was delicious. Great dining experience and we will visit again.

We order take out every time we go to Rincon Ga. The BBQ is the best. Everything there is great.

My husband and I eat here on a regular basis. He has the sliced brisket plate and I have the spareribs. We are never disappointed. The ribs are so good and tender until they fall off the bone. No sauce needed because there seasoned just right. The brisket is as equally delicious. If you love good BBQ at a reasonable price check out The Rusty Pig. You will not be disappointed.

Affordable, consistent, yummy, friendly staff, cozy decor, clean environment, not much left to ask for. Tried the stewed potatoes for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. $9 for the special with a side and drink post-covid inflation competes with fast food pricing these days. Well done team.

Have passed this restaurant several times before I ever tried it. BBQ sandwich combo was on point. Very friendly staff who bring order out to you. Would highly recommend it.
