Johns Store

My wife showed me this local store when I moved to our new town. It has a gas station, restaurant and also a plant nursery all in the same parking lot. Restaurant, Johns Too, is said to be a local favorite that I have not had the chance to try yet. I personally go in for gas occasionally and the store is clean and the staff is always kind.

My personal go-to gas-station. It's spacious and clean with a nice variety of products compared to its local competitors.

This place has one of the very best hamburgers the world has to offer. I been all over the place. I can get a good burger anywhere. But I can only get a johns burger right here.

I remember going to this store when I was in high school, and still years later they will always have the best hamburgers!

Toooooooooo expensive

I wrote my original review over 8 years ago and a lot has changed at John's, apparently. I ordered a cheese burger and fries and the total was $9.80 for one order! The burgers are no longer large, like they were. I'd say they are 25% smaller and taste like smoke. I don't know when John's started doing this, but it's too much. When you open the wrapper, it puts off an instant smell of smoke. The fries were absolutely horrible. It seems like they are baking them, instead of frying, but they end up being dry, flavorless and hard. Not worth $9.80, for sure.

A friend of mine recommended I get a burger from John's store, the next time I wanted to have lunch, and I was in the area. I called, about 10 minutes ahead, and told the lady that answered the phone, I wanted a cheese burger. Easy enough. The burger was large, twice as thick as a whopper, came fully dressed, with cheese melting out the sides. The beef was seasoned well and tasty, finely shredded, without a lot of fat or grease. For the burger and a bag of chips, it was $6.75, which is about average for a local cheeseburger. I'll definitely be going back.
