Gardenia’s Cafe

My family and I just went there for the first time and had an absolutely amazing experience! I’m not sure what I was expecting when I first walked in, but I didn’t know I would be getting the best service of my life and one of the most memorable meals I’ve ever had. Everybody who works there is incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable about everything on the menu. The food is all homemade and you can tell how much care the staff puts into pleasing their customers. The food was delicious and we couldn’t stop ordering different items to try them. Don’t pass by this cafe! After just one visit it has permanently cemented itself as one of my favorite restaurants. We can’t wait to go back!

Small shop, SUPER friendly, welcoming family owners (mom, dad, sister, brother—the Gardenia Family). Food ingredients are fresh and healthy. Delicious dinner. Our party had the Steak Quesadillas, the Enchilada Burger, the Mama’s Pasteles, and the Chicken Picata. We also enjoyed the bread pudding. Service is first class and we all felt like family with the Gardenias. Definitely a 5-star experience in this family owned and run cafe.

This place definitely has my heart and stomach 🫣100% organic food and natural fermentation, super clean and cozy environment, not to mention the charisma of the owner and the people who work there.At each bite you can taste all the love put into preparing each ingredient. I have no doubt that this is my favorite brunch spot.

This was my first time here, and all I can say is WOW! I’m mostly into breakfast cafes around Maryland, and it’s hard to find a decent place that serves breakfast and lunch all day. But this place is more than amazing.
The place looks beautiful! The staff greet you walking in, and they tend to you with care. The staff are great! The food is somthing out of a dream. The presentation of the food, matches the beautiful interior of the cafe. The coffee is home made and it is delicious, Ditch your Starbucks people, they got it here! (I had the choco Carmel latte) ! The most shocking thing about this place is the price! Well priced and I’m surprised on what you get for the price. Taste, portion, everything in here is worth every penny. I got the corn beef hash, I highly recommend it. Home made sour dough bread is top notch! Frankly, I wanna try everything on the menu! Now I can say I been to the real hidden gem in Gaithersburg!

Gardenia’s Cafe delivers a beautiful experience and atmosphere full of laughter and warmth. As a Latino, I never expected to find a restaurant that delivers Latin food in a hearty and organic way. Gardenia’s does just this, and it’s just beautiful. The moment you walk in you are quickly greeted. The staff makes you feel at home and will let you know how everything is cooked and they remind you of the organic ingredients and cooking methods. As you taste the different dishes, you can taste individual ingredients and nothing feels processed. And their best part? The desserts!!! I had the best flan and banana bread pudding here. Not sweet, and you can taste the natural flavors and not just sugar.

Gardenia’s has become a place of comfort for me and my family, and will be a staple “must show” restaurant to all future family visitors. I’m thankful for their new concept food, and I’m excited to make it a long term staple!

I was looking for a healthy restaurant in Gaithersburg and I sincerely came across a gem.

I enjoyed the restaurant so much I ate there 3 days in a row.

The staff was incredible, they were extremely friendly regardless if the restaurant was packed or not. You genuinely feel like family while there.

Now lets talk about the food. They are making things from scratch and using premium ingredients such as avocado oil.

Chunky monkey pancakes: they pancakes were amazing. The came out super hot. How could you go wrong with a combination of banana, chocolate and maple syrup. The waffle was perfectly crunchy

Gluten free pancakes: the owner persuaded me to order this and im extremely glad she did. The pancakes were super light nearly to the point of melt in your mouth. You get eggs and protein with the dish. I choose turkey sausage and eggs which were both seasoned perfectly.

Green smoothie: I was told that these are new additions to their menu. While slightly pricey at $10, the smoothie was outstanding. It contained avocado, chia seeds, almond milk asking other ingredients. The smoothie was very creamy. They were able to accommodate my request of holding the sugar which pleased me.

Mama's pasteles (empanadas) - dare I say these were some of the best empanadas I've ever eaten. Unlike most empanadas these were light and not oily. They had a great texture and the meat and potatoes filling was amazing. They give you a side sauce that adds to the flavors.

Salvadoreño tipico - typical El Salvadorean breakfast. This food felt very comforting. Plantain, eggs, toast, beans. It's simple yet delicious. The homemade crema is to die for. I enjoyed it so much I ordered a side of plantains and crema.

Pesto pasta: like everything else, they make their own pesto. the dish had juicy chicken and the portion is big enough for 2 meals. My only complaint was the pesto wasxa little runny but other than that it was great.

This place is truly incredible I wish them the best. They take so much pride in what they do! Keep being awesome.

Was looking into trying a new place to get breakfast and came across this Cafe. Almost immediately, I was greeted and it felt very welcoming and caring. Food exceeded my expectations and it was amazing. Everything on the menu sounds great and will definitely be back for more. My overall experience was more than what I could've expected.

A small cafe but with an expanded menu - good fir ant time of the day. Their omelette and desserts are delicious. Ask for a coffee and you will be surprised with its quality and flavor. Waitress are pleasant and help you to walk through the menu and give their suggestions you won’t regret. As a first time customer, the cafe served a delicious muffin on-house. Love the place.

Please, Please, Please, If you haven't been to Gardenia's Cafe. Start your day with this beautiful family owned restaurant. Food is superb and the service and atmosphere is unmatched in the Gaithersburg area. From the front to the cooks, you are greeted with a smile. You feel the love in the food and the passion. My favorite dish is the FarmHouse sandwich. Everything is Organic and made with Alkaline water so you always feel rejuvenated when you leave. Definitely recommend to everyone

This place gives will give you an out of this world vibe! When their food or baked goods hit your taste buds, lord, you are on top of Mt. Olympus! Not only are the ingredients clean, but the Chefs have mastered the art of TASTE! Eating here will definitely leave you with a sense of fulfillment and 1000 % satisfaction!

I find myself going here at least once a week these days because the food is made with high-quality ingredients and the utmost care. Warm atmosphere, amazing service, and incredibly delicious food. There is so much thought and care infused throughout the entire experience, from the friendly service to the extensive menu. Plenty of sweet and savory breakfast options, espresso drinks, homemade bread and pastries!

This place is definitely a hidden gem!! We stopped in by chance and we were so glad we did! The staff was so friendly (family owned and run) and the food which is all organic and homemade! Everything was amazing and we will definitely be back. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

This place is wonderful! The food and coffee were delicious. The workers really cared that we enjoyed the food and coffee there. My fiance loved the place too and it made her day that we got to come here. It was our first time. I recommend to try this place out. We will definitely be coming back.

Gardenia's Cafe is a family business that will make you happy! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting and the food is just delicious. A chef is the owner and he puts all his art and soul in everything he cooks. We had the most delicious melt-in-your-mouth steak and Creme Brulee. Today I stopped there to get some more of this fantastic dessert. It was around 2pm and the place was full with customers. They were eating, talking and laughing and the vibe made me smile. The service is also outstanding. Every single customer was met with a compliment and smile. Will definitely come again soon ❤.

my family and I have been coming here for about a year or so after our friend introduced us and we love this place! the staff is so kind, food is delicious and they’re consistently excellent. I can’t believe we didn’t know of them sooner!

their fried chicken is amazing! juicy + flavorful. (If you’re unsure of what to get, chicken and waffles is a great start). —today we ordered chicken and pancakes since my toddler prefers those over waffles (as shown in the picture). he normally doesn’t eat chicken nuggets or tenders from anywhere but he LOVES the chicken here.

my husband always orders the” salmon beurr blanc” and I’m not a huge seafood fan but I took a bite off of his plate today and it was fantastic! cilantro lime rice cooked to perfection, pan seared salmon topped off with a creamy lemon caper sauce + fresh veggies. my husband orders this for breakfast lol and I understand why. so good!

my current fave has been the avocado toast. they make the sourdough in house + use the freshest ingredients from start to finish. I love that it has guacamole AND avocado slices on top. I’ve never seen that done anywhere. the portion is generous, filling + delicious.

they offer a variety of drinks from specialty coffee to homemade juices + they have a display case full of yummy desserts you can add to your order.

know that if you visit this place, you will be greeted with the biggest smiles, treated with excellence + served quality food. worth every penny.

This is by far my favorite place to eat out. The staff are complete angels and always full of warmth and joy. I have a brain injury so a lot of food I cannot eat that is in other restaurants but here I know the food is made with love and whole ingredients. It’s hard always cooking at home but having gardenia is a safe place for me. You simple must go to tell the difference between their whole ingredients and food made with substance. I am so grateful to this small business and wish more people supported businesses like this.

Best brunch place in our area. The service is phenomenal - such friendly and kind people. Food is perfect and so delicious. So many different options, flavors, everything is homemade, fresh, and just amazing.

Clean, friendly, family run business with delicious food and plenty of delicious gluten free and vegan options! We stopped for tea and coffee; I had the lava cake too and a vegan chocolate chip cookie. Breakfast is served all day - gluten free pancakes! A server said they “make food with more flavor, not sugar, use avocado oil and juices are made with alkaline water.” Easy to find location, free parking right out front. We’ll definitely be back! 👍❤
