Judy was extremely helpful and patient during my visit at the office. She was helpful in explaining all the information, as it is sometimes confusing. She was very pleasant and cheerful during the whole process.

I just want to say thank you for always getting prompt responses whenever I send an email with questions. After moving to Jefferson Co I feel like I have had several questions about Personal Property Taxes and the assessors office has been amazing.

Come on guys, you can't blame the tax system of double-dipping on the personnel; they didn't make the policies. This review system is meant to reflect how the public is served, not how the reps your family tree voted for ran the state government over the past hundred years.

Other than the fact this is the taxman, the people on the phone were very nice and straight forward.

We shouldn't have to pay a tax on something we already paid tax on and now some how there's tax for you to own it. Property Tax is a reL theft

Office is terrible. Filed my personal property tax when I received the paperwork at the beginning of the year. They say they didn't receive it, and claim they sent a reminder (which they didnt). I thought it was odd when everyone else in my house got their tax bills but mine wasn't here. I had to take off work to go there in person, and then they argued they couldn't remove the late filing fee by statute, which isn't true. Personal property taxes are already kind of a joke, but to fine someone because their office messed up is pathetic.

Please remember we pay your salary. Treating tax paying citizens like cattle and yelling at them to back against a wall like cattle getting a mugshot isn’t ok.

Scamming people for their own items that they paid tax on to purchase. The state property taxes and police are a scam of tax dollars

So glad this was my last year of dealing with them.
