Restaurant Calla

I’ve been to this place off an on for years. The menu has usually been a little boring for me and then the food was middle of the road and not worth reordering. The burger was always a safe bet because it’s one of the best in town. The dinner tonight was really fantastic. The cocktails were however a miss. I tried some that I’ve never had there so maybe that’s on me 0/3. The winner of the night was the food. The shrimp and grits was perfect albeit a smaller portion. The Brussels sprouts were also spot on perfect. They’re not your normal boring sprouts, and it’s a big enough portion to share or to turn into a meal. Looking forward to my next outing here.

It’s always a treat to eat at Calla. Great service, atmosphere and food. Drinks are delicious as well.

Calla an experience of a lifetime
From the front entrance you are greeted by a lovely lady whom will start your experience off with a smile and seating selection. We opt’d for the outdoor dining area and the amazing sun set was an added bonus
The wait staff on point from the get go and no option overlooked from the items on the menu
All be it we had The Double Cheese Burgers and they ROCKED !! Delicious

Ok when in or around the Lake Charles area Experience For Yourself

This restaurant is a definite must stop. If you love Cajun food mixed with some love and all out fancy then this is the place to be. The food is phenomenal whether you get the crab bisque, the duck, a nice juicy steak, or even a all out American burger. The chefs will cook anything to make your taste buds jump for joy. And not to mention the spectacular crew they have working there. They definitely make you feel like you belong. So next time your in the area don’t deprive yourself of this amazing experience!!! 😋❤ Definitely gonna be stopping there every time I’m in the area!!

Great first time experience. Me and my girlfriend enjoyed our evening and our Waitress Callie Comeaux was amazing and made the experience well worth the 1.5 hour drive to Lake Charles for a fine dining dinner.

So yummy! Reserved a table for Sunday brunch and was impressed. Good coffee, cocktails and food! There is a 4% charge for using a card to pay your bill.

Probably some od the best food we've ever had - extra crispy Brussel sprouts, steak frites and the pork chop. Oh and Calla Brownie for dessert and beer on tap. Pleasantly surprised at this gem!

Everything was wonderful: the steak, the porkchop, the brussel sprouts, and the brownie dessert! The service and atmosphere was extraordinary, too! We'll definitely be back!

5 stars across-the-board! We had a phenomenal time at this restaurant. Trey was our server and he was phenomenal. The food and drinks were spectacular. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're in the Lake Charles area.

Wow! Look this place up on a map and go here. Amazing dinner on the patio. Mike was an awesome waiter. Food is adventurous and delicious. There were so many great drinks to choose from. A bit pricey, but I'd probably come back even if they charged more. Worth the money, worth the time, worth trying out a new place!

Wife and I had a little day date this afternoon without kids and were craving a good burger. Went to Calla, were promptly greeted by our server as he walked by because the hostess had just left to seat 2 others in front of us. Server was Cale L. and we realized we had hom before since his service was amazing! Suggested items to us for drinks after us asking for recommendations. Wife got the Chupacabra(pictured) and I got a draft beer Paradise Park. Both were very satisfactory and would recommend them to others as well. Burgers came out in expected time frame and were very good! Fries are the reason I rated 9 out of 10. Fries were a bit harder and crunchier than I believe they should have been. Plus mostly shorter ones(about an inch to 1.5 inches long). Flavor was good though. As in most cases, you get what you pay for. Meal was $75 with +25% tip.

My husband and I have been to Calla on multiple occasions and tonight’s experience was the best of them all. We sat at the bar with Hannah and Brandon and they were absolutely amazing. Brandon asked if I was interested an off menu cocktail and I was more than pleased with what he created. Hannah was very kind and attentive and made sure we had everything we needed as well. On any future visits we make to Calla, we will be asking to sit at the bar. The conversation was lively and the service was stellar. Thanks for an amazing experience!

This place always surprises me in nothing but good ways. If you haven’t eaten here, GO!
Juevos Rancheros this last weekend - best I’ve ever had, and I’ve tried them everywhere.

Brandon was our bartender and very attentive. We will go back to try brunch on next visit.

Great afternoon meal. Duck could be an entree if had a side or two. Bisque was the best crab bisque of my trip. Cocktails were good and I appreciate the upscale vibe. A hidden gem in a nice neighborhood.

Excellent service from Lauren. The Blue Crab Beignets and Smoked Duck were our favs! A place you should take your In-laws.

The atmosphere, waitstaff, patio seating, food, and drinks are amazing. 💕‼ My daughter's favorite birthday hangout. 🎂 🥳🎉 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The food was incredible, and the service was fantastic. I highly recommend the blue crab beignets, smoked duck, loaded hand cut fries, shrimp & grits, and creme caramel.
