Caro's Authentic Méxican Restaurant

This place is AMAZING!!!! The food is fresh and delicious, very friendly service and just overall a great experience. The tamales tasted just like my mom's growing up. My 2 year old had a blast with the staff. I cannot wait to go back.

Caro's serves the best Mexican food in not just Alexandria but in the area. Don't go expecting the same old Tex Mex, this is Mexican food and it is delicious!! I wouldn't know where to start with the dishes, everything I've eaten is so very good.

I loved this place. You could tell that everything was home made from the salsa (mmmmm!) and light and crispy hot chips to the chicharones. The waitress was smiling and friendly and everyone there was in a friendly mood. An overall very good experience.

Yes! This is the real deal! Traditional Mexican yummy food! I ordered the Combination Fajitas Shrimp/Chicken. The flavors were spot on! The rice, the beans, the veggies! All delicious! I paired my lunch with a large delicious orchata! As a side dish, I ordered yummy sweet plantains! It was perfection. It's crazy how I found such a delicious Mexican food in the central Louisiana. Compliments to the cook from an avid traveler.

You've gotta try Caro's Authenic Mexican Restaurant! The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The food is the absolute best, and they are quick!!!

It was Fabulous as always!!! I had the burrito with beef it was very filling. Last time I had tacos! It never disappoints. Service is great, if it's good weather sit outside...one of the best little gems in Alexandria

We got the Amelia Burrito. One how it comes (steak) and another with chicken. We also got some chips and salsa with some queso and a side of salsa verde. The staff are so positive and nice and the food is amazing. They have outdoor dining options and a small store inside as well. It's the goodness of Mexican without the tummy ache! I'd give it more stars but Google won't allow.

The chips were hot, right out the grease. The queso was delicious. The salsa and jalapeño salsa was really good as well. They bring both of these with the chip basket. I got a street taco plate that comes with three street tacos and rice and beans. It’s a huge plate and you can pick any mix of tacos you want (shrimp and chicharron are the best). My husband had asada fries. The steak was juicy and tender and he raved about the dish. Thank you Caro’s! We love the family vibe you get when you walk in and the colorful table cloths make the place lively.

Loved everything. My food was delicious. They didn't take long to bring all 3 plates of our food out. 10min tops! The owner was very nice & friendly. Will be returning before we move out of Louisiana.

Best Steak Tacos I've had , Hands Down!! The steak is So Flavorful!! Authentic Mexican food at it's best... thin and crispy fresh homemade tortilla chips!! Amazing Salsa Verde!! Fast and Friendly Service, from ordering to delivery to our table was maybe 5 min. Priced Right!! Highly Recommend!!

This was my first time in Caro's. The staff was very polite, a gentle helped me to order and answered all my questions about the menu. I had the taco plate. Omg it was amazing! There is a wide meat selection as well as a broad menu selection. I would recommend everyone to go check it out you will not be sorry, if anything you will be back for more food and bringing your friends. Thank you Mrs. Mari for suggesting I try it. I am now in love😍 !

Caro's is a real Taquería & not just 1 more franchise Tex-Mex restaurant. A local Mom & Pop which I have been going to since it 1st opened.
I have spent quite a bit of time in Mexico & this is authentic in spices. flavor & style.
But if you have been deceived by Taco Bell type places or an overpriced restaurant beside a Cruise Ship docking at a port in Mexico considering them to be a Mexican restaurant, then continue to go eat Americanized all the same franchise Tex-Mex.

I've been eating here for over a year and i can say that this is probably one of the most authentic Mexican eateries in the area. The staff are welcoming but the food is the real deal. The dining area is not fancy but true to what you see in Mexico. I've lived in San Diego and travelled up & down the coast and dining at Caro's feels like you are on the coast. I see many of the locals have figured it out and now its hard to find a seat during lunch. Overall its highly recommended and although they don't sell Margaritas, they are giving local Mexican restaurants a run for their money.

The food is made super fresh and it's delicious!! They drop your tortilla chips as you order them, so they're always hot and fresh when arriving at your table. Be careful of the salsa verde, it's HOT 🔥🔥🔥 very nice people, great food, and not expensive at all. 10/10 will go back!

Amazing authentic mexican cuisine. We sat outside and enjoyed the scenery and amazing weather with the food. The wait staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. I ate the steak fajita bowl and the flavor was arguably the best one I've had so far. The vegetables were fresh and the meat was not overly saturated in salt as is the norm with mexican restaurants. The salsa had amazing flavor and texture as well. I would highly recommend this little hole in the wall place to anyone. Not to mention the prices being the best in town.
