Delicious, Hong Kong style pastries and dishes made with love! We managed to arrive just as a fresh batch of egg tarts had come out of the oven. The egg tarts were incredibly flavorful! Looking forward to going back.

I always wanted to try the pineapple mooncake from this bakery since it's my favorite, but they were always out whenever I stopped by. Today, I was finally able to get hold of some, and I can honestly say this is my favorite version of the pineapple mooncake. The crust is very thin, and the pineapple filling is not too sweet, just the way I like it. From now on, this is my new spot for pineapple mooncakes.

Really great, authentic Hong Kong style foods - the buns are especially good. And the egg tarts are so tasty - especially if you get them fresh.
The parking lot is a bit tight.

I showed up early in the morning for fresh baked bao. Smelled heavenly and tasted very good. I got a box of ten for my family with some sweet and savory flavors. Excellent place. And the leaf wrapped rice snacks are amazing.

Coconut milk (raisin or walnut) loaf is my favorite. I go through the coconut milk buns too quickly, so I love that they have the loaves, and they're hard to find.

Red bean loaf topped with a smear of butter and warmed up is amazing.

The moon cakes and zongzi (banana leaf wrapped sticky rice) are great too.

I have never had this type of Asian experience. Felt very authentic and staff helped us out with trying new pastries and Bubble tea! Mango and Green Tea bubble tea were amazing. Will be coming here again.

Very fresh buns. I really like their roast pork bun. I think it's probably the best you can get in the DMV area.

My absolute favorite barbecue pork buns/bao in Maryland. They have many other bun flavors, delicious beef crepes and sticky rice too! Highly recommend!

This bakery is one of my favor. I love their hot milk tea here. Very strong and tasty. I also love their breads. They have so many different variety. They also have beef wrapped with flat noodles. They taste very good. The cashiers are very nice with great customer service. I highly recommend this bakery.

I am a regular at Asian Bakery Cafe as I went to MC and would go to the cafe regularly between classes. I always get peach bubble tea and noodle soup with wontons, brisket, and pork! I also always get pineapple crust buns during the week. Their roast pork buns are also delicious, as well as the butter pineapple crust buns (only there on weekends). I also looove their custard tarts that are served warm. I find the noodle soup to be very filling, the noodles are slightly chewy, and the wontons are so flavorful and delicious. It is my ultimate comfort food and it never disappoints. I have also tried the strawberry cake which is light and fluffy and some of their steamed buns. My mom loves their almond cookies as well. This is simple, straightforward food, no frills, no extras, just delicious food. I will say the customer service can be hit or miss. There was one woman working there with glasses who went above and beyond to be helpful and kind. I think it doesn't take away from the overall experience and I love that place with a passion.

This place is a hidden gem! My mother really missed fresh zhong since not having it for many years, and we found this place made it fresh all year round! They're really delicious, and even have 鹵水粽 which was our favourite and always difficult for us to find.
Their bakery items are also really delicious and fresh -- the "pineapple" bun is really reminiscent of Hong Kong (warm it in the oven at home for a few minutes on low, and it's perfect) and the "paper wrapped cake" are so soft. Nothing is too sweet.

Right now during Covid, they are open Thursday-Sunday. Everything is fresh when we go :)

AMAZING! Totally authentic Hong Kong hot and cold food! The wonton beef brisket soup is AMAZING! Their bakery is constantly being re-stocked with super fresh, super delicious buns, cakes, moon pies, etc. and their egg custard tarts are TO DIE FOR! Literally the best egg custards and wontons I've ever had in the U.S. (and even a few places in Asia!) Parking during lunch hour can be tricky but it's definitely worth it!

Loved the salted fish fried rice and their bubble tea is really fresh. They also offer a buy 5 get 1 free deal on their in store bakery items. I suggest trying out their cookies, they may look a little dry but they're full of flavor and crunchy in the best way.

Authentic Chinese food! Love the Wonton and Roast Pork noodle soup! Not salty but very tasty. Wontons filled with shrimp. Very nice light desserts and Asian baked goods. We also bought a pack of steamed jumbo combo buns and they were delicious! They are stuffed with pork, Chinese sausage and salted egg. And the buns were light and fluffy! We should have bought more. We are definitely coming back!

Visited just after 9:30 on a Thursday morning and found a plethora of freshly baked buns. Ordered the scallion and ham and the pineapple and red bean. Immediately ate the ham and scallion and ot was delicious-- warm, soft, and partly sweet bun with salty, oniony, ham. Also ordered some green tea bubble tea and strawberry bubble tea, but the bubbles weren't ready so I got them with jelly (just $3.50 per tea). Total was around $11.30. I definitely will be back.

Used to go here all the time when I was in community college, the food is fresh and is authentic. Loved the fresh buns and even the ones in the fridge that I get to reheat on other days. If you want asian homestyle food or just some buns to go, I highly recommend it.

Your best option in the area for Cantonese / Hong Kong style baked goods (and possibly only option now that Maria's has closed). I've tried various cakes, buns, and their egg tarts and everything was consistently good (and I would know coming from Hong Kong and Vancouver). There is a huge variety of bakes. I haven't tried the dishes yet so cannot comment.
