Had a family get together here and everything about the experience was great. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was awesome, and the staff were the best. The keep the fresh chips and salsa coming while your waiting for your food. The margaritas are really good. Can't wait to go back!

This is a nice place for Mexican food in the area. The restaurant atmosphere is very festive and welcoming. There is plenty of seating and is good for large groups as well. The have a tortilla making station right at the entrance 😊
The service was prompt and friendly as well. They have a decent selection of food items to pick from. We have been here a few times and have liked all the dishes were have ordered. Their kids menu is decent as well.

Our favorites are the fajitas, chimichanga, and seafood dishes my kids likes the chicken fingers.

Desserts are good here are well. We like the Tres Leches cake, Sopaipillas, Flan.

Villa Maya is my favorite neighborhood spot for girls' nights, family dinners and happy hour! Food is great and the staff is awesome. I especially want to give them a shout out for accommodating a very large group on a very busy Saturday night. It wasn't easy and they stuck with us. They are also a great option if you need to cater an event. Definitely recommend!

So good! This place reminds me of the Mexican restaurants in Texas. Food was great. Tasty salsa. Quick service. They were on top of things. It was a Saturday night too.

Huge portions, affordable prices, and family-friendly atmosphere. Could easily share most of the entrees. There’s also pleasant outdoor seating. The fajitas is a standout menu item, along with the house made quac. I expected more from the margarita though, it was weak.

Happy to update. I've been coming to this restaurant since they've opened i believe 2006, they have excellent food and great staff. I like they have whole fish entrees available. Happy they had red snapper today. I recommend to everyone to try the restaurant!

Great food, great service, great people, great place. I could give 100 stars to this restaurant if possible. Food taste is the best one, prices are phenomenal cheap for the taste of this fantastic food. Servers are very courteous, food was served on time and also they have a very delicious tres leches dessert!

Great, authentic Mexican food with great service! Attentive waitstaff, a thorough menu, and cute atmospheric decor. Salsa is soooo good! Sharing meals (excluding appetizers) incurs an additional $2.95 fee, but the food is so good, I'd highly recommend getting your own plate! I got the combo 3 dinner plate (chicken, pork, and shredded beef).

Phenomenal local resteraunt. Staff is incredibly friendly with solid service. The food is good with a good selection. Kids menu is nice. Has pleasant outdoor seating in addition to well themed in door seating.

An active duty military officer friend and I went to this Tex-Mex restaurant on Veterans Day "actual" Saturday night 11/11...only complaint is the restaurant offered no discount for veterans, of which there were quite a few wearing their respective, casual military branch hats, my friend included. Parking was easy and nearby in this shopping center parking lot. Inside I overheard that this restaurant is affiliated with Guapo's in Gaithersburg; there's one in Bethesda too...great food and ambiance, just like Villa Maya. Although the restaurant was packed full, we were seated immediately, the food was scrumptious and plentiful, my frozen strawberry margarita was delicious with a very generous amount of liquor, and the fried enchilada cheesecake dessert with a bowl of vanilla ice cream topped with strawberry sauce and adjacent chocolate sauce plate design was crazy good...ordered a plate for 2. The nacho chips and salsa were also great, but you can't just eat one, as the saying goes. Service was right on top of things: checking back several times, refilling non-alcoholic drinks as needed without having to be asked first, and clearing dirty dishes and utensils quickly. And, the atmosphere is very warm and festive with amber and other colors and decor of Mexico. Muy excelente...but I should have taken home a doggie bag instead of eating every last molecule on all my plates; I was full and very content, but because everything was so darn good, I didn't leave any for leftovers!! Hope to return there soon.

Food and service was great! Plenty of outdoor seating (the back is setup with a beautiful tent and candles at night). Queso was perfect and salsa amazingly prepared. Half pitcher is perfect for 2 (we had a strawberry/lime swirl margarita). The salmon fajitas were plentiful and perfect for sharing.

It’s the best food and amazing atmosphere I’ve experienced in Washington cuisine 👌🏻 the only disadvantage- too big and yummy portions 😝

One of my favorite restaurants to eat at. Love the atmosphere and the margaritas. I've been enjoying their food for years. I drive 45 minutes just to eat there.

Have been going here for years. Complimentary freshly made chips and salsa. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. House margaritas are a must! Can't recommend enough.

This place is a winner, everything about it is great. The food, the drinks, the service, the location, all of it. Always lots of families there for dinner, its great for everyone.
(Side note) There is a beer store right next to it which is a nice place and has a good variety, the couple who own the place are very nice people.
