Excellent place to bring young children. We hiked the 2.5 mile loop (can be shorter) and let the kids play in the creek. We then came to the center here and found lots of live creatures to look at which thrilled the children.
Staff are super friendly and answered all our children's questions. Give them a call to see when they are feeding the snapping turtle. I wish we could have seen that.

The employees here are really friendly and knowledgeable.
There’s a bee exhibit that shows inside a hive with a queen and all.
The grounds/trails are well maintained and has foliage to keep u cool.

I love this place. Close to the city but at the same time you can see the beauty of nature state Maryland has to offer. I also love the aquariums with snapping turtle, red ear slider etc.

Visited the park and walked the trails. Delightful little nugget of nature tucked in Rockville.

very good place to go with kids. They just renewed their play kitchen space. The creek is clean and beautiful.

A beautiful, quiet place that seems quite remote from the hurly-burly of Rockville.

This place is fantastic. Knowledgable and friendly staff. Fun activities, especially for the little ones. We took our girls there many times over the ~7 years I lived in Rockville. It's definitely one of the places I miss.

We found this nature center to be very enjoyable. The animals are well cared for, the staff was welcoming and helpful, and everything was clean and in good condition. We had fun completing the scavenger hunt on the large mosaic wall. It was not busy when we visited, even though it was a beautiful spring day. I think this must be an overlooked park!
This park is part of a larger park system that includes the Glenview Mansion and F Scott Fitzgerald theater. Walking through the gardens of the mansion leads to a nice playground.

Our group of 30 hikers went on an early fall hike with leaves still on trees and on the ground. The creek was flowing as were some small waterfalls. Parking was easy.

Beautiful secluded Creek, just minutes from Rockville/Twinbrook area. Lots of shade from trees, shallow rockpools, and short hikes. Plenty of wildlife to entertain the kids. 5 min walk from the Nature Center car park down to the creek. Unfortunately I don't think wheelchair access would be straight forward (although there is a rough-surface service road that might serve for this purpose).

Great nature center with awesome early childhood programs. Their Halloween event, the Croydon Creep, is my favorite one for toddlers and preschoolers in town.
