Fire Museum

Wow!!! Thank you so much for such a wonderful birthday party for my 4 year old!! All of the firefighters there were exceptional. They were so great with the kids. They were engaging and friendly. Firefighter Khan was amazing with the kids who were a little timid of him in his gear. He made a point to go over to them specifically to show them not to be scared. Sparky was an added plus! The kids loved him! Having everything set up when we got there was so nice as a parent. All of my son’s friends had such a fantastic time. Everything was well organized and all of parents were complementing the venue and the firefighters. I highly highly recommend having a birthday party here!

Loved this place! Very glad that they are still open! Volunteers are very knowledgeable and friendly. I definitely recommend it.

Good small museum to visit for adults and children.
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere.

It is a small museum, we did spend 30 minutes there. There were 2 antique fire truck 🚒, the red one is not allowed to get it but the white one does. Inside museum have a lot of original items back then, some photographs and some models. Every children will get sticker and plastic red fireman hat. No admission fee, but there is a donation box. There are two workers, the worker is helpful with smiley face. There are some volunteers so if you'd like to help, I think they will be welcome. We went there too early but the worker put open sign early, too. I do believe he did it because he saw us, I feel appropriate. My kids are 4 and almost 2. They are quiet young for most of stuffs except Bell, dog sculpture and actual trucks. :) they did have fun and my 4 years old kept playing his red fire truck for a whole week.
There is a log book to check in, don't forget to sign in, it is right by the carved bear wood

This little museum is great for kids and adults! It's one of many things to enjoy on a Saturday in Old Towne Gaithersburg!

The staff was friendly and informative. The exhibit space was small however the photos and artifacts were interesting. There are two real fire trucks, one of which one can sit inside and climb on.

Full of rich history and memorabilia of the Gaithersburg Washington Grove Volunteer Fire Department.

They've got lots of info for all ages.

Small building but big on friendly staff and cool firefighting stuff to look at.

Self-guided tour, pretty hands off. If you're interested in learning some local history on a lazy weekend perfect place to go

It is 1020 am 06/03/2023. The museum was supposed to open 20 mins ago. There was someone that came in "to check some things" but wouldn't open it for us.
