Beautiful park with stunning fall colors. Great place for birding. It was also very accessible for people with canes and walkers. It was very pleasant just to drive through with my Grandmother, who can't do a lot of walking. I went back and used some of the trails to bird.

Paved bike paths throughout. At least 1 fenced in dog park. Dogs are welcome throughout as long as they are leashed. There was one huge playground and 2 boat launches. There is also a community garden.

We love this park. Lots to do. If you have little ones, check out the area around the visitor center. They have a giant sand box, fairy garden, mud kitchen, and large wooden “furniture” for kids to play on. Lots of paved paths for stroller walks, smaller paths by the waters edge, and beautiful views.

What’s not to like? Fall foliages this year at Black Hill Regional Park is just wonderful. The park itself is free, with paved trails for hiking and biking. For nature lovers, unpaved trail around the lake is also beautiful. The trail and the lake itself connects Germantown neighborhood. Fishing and boating is a must. The picnic shelters host many community events. The large space and playground one the center of the shelters allows fun activities. The nature center is one of the best in the region. Restrooms are well maintained.

We love going to black hills. Its such a beautiful place with so much open space. We’ve seen lots of different animals hanging around this beautiful park. My dog likes jumping into the lake when it’s hot out. Highly recommend. I do wish there were more amenities for dogs but if you bring your own stuff it’s really a good time.

Plenty to see and do here and the trails are abundant. Definitely more enjoyable during the off season when there are no crowds.

I now found the park that can compete with Rock Creek! I really loved it ! I accidentally discovered this park due to my kids survival activity which takes place once a month. The view took my breath away! Many parkings, campfire area, camping area, boat rentals! It has everything you need to enjoy ! Will definitely go more often.

Black Hill Park has everything you need: biking and hiking trails, kayaks, two playgrounds, picnic sheds and an awesome Visitor Center.

You can rent kayaks or bring your own. There is a little parking area for kayaks too.

If you have children, make sure to visit Visitor Center.

Love this park for having wonderful walks and bike trails in summer! It’s our go to place for pot licks and meeting friends and have kids play around in the parks. They also have boating which I’m looking forward to try this summer, nevertheless the walk near the lake is very relaxing too! ☺

One of the best places to come and relax. It's so calm and peaceful. You can spend hours together and just stare at the lake. They have paddle boats which can be rented. It's a beautiful location to come and have a picnic. You can just wet your feet in the water but not allowed to swim. There's a trial which you can do which is alongside the lake. Overall, this is a great place to visit and have your own quite time in meditation and prayer.

Beautiful Woodlands and hills! Excellent picnic locations. Picture perfect lake open for fishing and boating. Very good facilities for boat launching. Park house and grounds are ideally located next to lake. A wonderful respite in the middle of burgeoning development (sad).

It was a beautiful fall day. The park has a nature center, and a calendar of activities, pavilions and most importantly clean restrooms. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. There is abundant wildlife and the lake has decent fishing too, with lots of access points along the shoreline, and benches for just sitting and contemplating. Great place to spend the day.

Great park for multiple outdoor activities. I went hiking with my dogs and they actually have a small dog run well maintained. For those interested in biking and hiking, the trails are very well identified. Picking up a map at the visitor center can help a lot on knowing where you are going. There is beautiful wildlife and a picturesque body of water and a bridge. There is also fishing, BBQ, camping, kayaking, and paddle boats for rent. I am pretty impressed with how clean and well maintained the park is.

Beautiful place to be at for whatever you love to do being with nature. I came here to think about life decisions by having a secluded peaceful area, I tended to stay for an hour and ended up leaving 5 hours later. Left with a peaceful mindset and my energy renew.

Black hill is open from 8 till sunset. But boating will be available from 10 AM to 5PM.
They have different types like row boats, standing boat, kayaking and others. Kayaking cost at 15$ for 1hr. The place is very nice to go with family, they have couple of food trucks and good parking place available.

I've been to this park countless times during the four seasons and I like it more and more. Not only does it have many picnic areas, interesting trails, and playgrounds, but it also has a wonderful, large lake that is perfect for canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and more. You can also find lovely quaint picnic spots.
