Great fishing spot for bank fisherman and also a great spot to put in and fish for boats. There are some monster catfish out here. And the work they have done on the area in the past few years is really nice. I have been coming to this spot since my father brought me as a kid and now I'm bringing my kids. Highly recommend for fishing. Not for swimming.

This is a very nice well kept secret of locals. Most days you have the place to yourself. Nestled on a rock Lake Davison county row and border. This area provides a great place for Family to get together picnic at no charge and enjoy a little bit of local North Carolina beauty.

Nice peaceful place to visit. Easy place to launch a kayak or canoe. Water was a little muddy the day I was there after the rainstorm the night before.

It was a little muddy, but overall good for kayaking. There are a few boaters who don't follow the no wake zone rule, so you really have to keep an eye out. Be careful where you pull to the side, some of the muddy hillsides are like quicksand. It's especially important to know the weather forecast in that case, because if you get caught in a storm, you won't be able to safely pull off anywhere. We saw beautiful cranes and wildflowers.

Nice setting. Glad I stopped. Got to go down to the boat launch, under the bridge, then bike across the bridge. Nice setting.

Probably not the best access for larger boats but a great location.

Nice little park off of 70 right on the Yadkin river. Beautiful scenery! Also has historic information available on signs. Went to the park one day for breakfast with my brother and we ate biscuits and watched the trains go by across the way. There is access from the upper park down to the boat ramp area right on the river. The old bridge is now just for pedestrians and bicycles. If you walk across the bridge you can say you walked all the way from Davidson County to Rowan County!

Great place to go kyacking with family and friends. I've been going to kyacking for past 5 years each year I get more exciting about going. It's great way to connect to God and nature. It's so peaceful and tranquility of river. It's a great experience. If you want get away for a day I highly recommend kyacking.

Well it was a no brainer for ME...as I'm a lover of nature and things that have a detailed backstory. I had just finished my last stop on my route, and decided to see what the park had to offer. Glad to see the park built into the rock; with an access path to walk or ride a bicycle if that's desired. While I was there, I explored the basin and caught some great imagery - well, to me, anyways. It was refreshing to catch the genesis of dusk while watching the water move, and listening to the sounds of my immediate environment. I enjoyed it and will be back to take it in, once more. I'd encourage those who are on the fence about whether to visit or not...to go. You won't be disappointed.

One of the best places to fish that I know of, but it's the Yadkin river so don't go taring up and down it like on your home lake. Huge Catfish up to fifty pounds or bigger are possible but you average fish mostly from five to twenty pounds. Stryper and Largemouth are a possibility also. Happy and safe fishing y'all 🙏

I absolutely love the river. Whenever me or my fiance have a stressful day will go out that night and look at the stars and listen to the river just pass. It's a great place to be when you're just thinking about nothing but that moment. A great place to be mindful.

Nice and clean river access point. Pretty good facilities and a beautiful stretch of water. It was really windy today, but I'll be back to try it again.
